Seems reasonable to me. Mainstream media does a lot of editing of interviews with conservatives and they can totally change the meaning of what was said.

I met this Carpetbagger at the Brevard Republican Executive Committee, and he underwhelmed me with his non-responsive replies to questions he was asked.
He is opposed to the repeal of the 17th Amendment and would not state “why” – clearly he is a progressive in disguise and will never earn my vote.
He will clearly be nothing more than another sycophant in the Senate, a body that has become little more than 100 additional administrative aides for the Executive.
As one of our Repub leaders said of the Smith candidacy, “Maybe one day candidates will put their Country before their own inflated egos.”

Smith came over to a REC meeting and I had the chance to test his mettle. The man is at best a “Carpetbagger” and is not even close to being a viable candidate to any Constitution-minded American.
