You’re right on the money about Mr. Garcia. I’ve heard him speak several times and feel he is an honorable man with the qualities of leadership, honesty and diligence we need in Congress today. Mr. Garcia is no lifetime pol; he has served in the Air Force, owned his own business and contributed to his community all his life. And he’s NOT a lawyer.

After Scott Brown’s fantastic win in Massachusetts, we need to send more people to Washington who have conservative values.

I’ll be looking forward to your more in-depth interview.

If I was there I’d vote for him. I’m in Oregon.. I’m excited, and I love his views on ILLEGAL immigration.

I’m Hispanic, and agree if you lie and come illegally so you steal someone elses right to truth. No only that you steal votes, because acorn will sign illegal aliens up to vote, and tell them to vote liberal. They don’t know what they are voting for, and its immoral and its wrong and we need to put a stop to this illegal practice.

The hava act doesn’t address the fact that states give driver’s licenses to illegal aliens who vote in the state and federal elections. Senator Mel Martinez bought this oversight to my attention. We need to address this. We the American people are being robbed of leadership.

    Good luck Mr. Garcia.

I’m a life long Conservative, a military retiree, and a political junkie hoping to keep our Country on the proven path to liberty and freedom. Tom Garcia gets my vote. Why? Because he believes in Constitutional government, he’s a proven leader (you cannot spend 4 years in the Naval Academy without thorough leadership training), and he has the energy and will to win–and he has no political background–he is ONE OF US. I enjoyed what Tom Garcia had to say. The dynamic has changed. Five years ago, if you said you were a strict constitutionalist, it was a death knell for your campaign. No more. I am a strict constitutionalist, but I would add the caveat that when coming into office, first do no harm. A strict constitutionalist would object to so many Federal programs that governing would be impossible on a practical level, your time in office would be a 24-7 NO! A strict Constitutionalist in this current environment will have to choose battles carefully, build a track record of success, and move cautiously to the next issue.
The questioner identified immigration and health care reform. Both of these issues are best tackled with GOVERNMENT reforms first, before we start telling doctors, employers, immigrants what to do. Although I hate the impingement of freedom, card check would seem to help enforce the current laws better.

On the Haitian relief front, I just stopped at Home Depot, I asked the Manager if he would like to sell 15-20% more tools. He said yes. I said “this is what we do:”

Park a shipping container out front with a big banner on the side that says “Tools to Haiti”

Your customers will know what to do. the wealthy will go in your store and buy more tools to place inside the container, the willing will come back by later and put in their spare shovels rakes, crowbars and etc. Eventually that willing customer’s generosity will mean residual sales for your store as those tools are replaced over time. Now Mr. Store Manager, once that container is full can you help me get it to Haiti? If you can’t help, I will pay the shipping myself.

He said it was not his decision, but he did not see why not.

The work of re-building Haiti is Florida’s work, and it means JOBS for our people.

Tom Garcia has been to our 9.12 group and our REC in Volusia County. We have all been impressed with him thus far. We need constitutionalists in every office in the land.
