Tea Party Debate Brews Up
The public’s growing dissent with both the Democratic and Republican parties has revived the call for a third political party to break the present two-party monopoly in American politics. In Florida, the “Tea Party” has officially formed and registered a political party that in our opinion will only bleed votes from the Republican Party and ensure future Democrat victories. Opponents of the official “Tea Party” have begun to make the case why the “Tea Party” lacks the infrastructure, a coherent platform, money, or the leaders at this juncture to become a credible force in electoral politics that has the ability to get its candidates elected.
The article that follows is the first piece in what will be an ongoing series on the “Tea Party” phenomena- both as a movement, and as an official political party in the State of Florida. The Shark Tank’s objective is to provide an open forum for a wide variety of perspectives on this topic, as we will encourage guest authors to publish their viewpoints.

FLORIDA TEA PARTY HIJACKED – CONSERVATIVE ACTIVISTS DECLARE WAR
By Michael Johns
The American Tea Party movement emerged as one of the top stories of 2009, and for good reason: the mass movement of millions of liberty-minded Americans into the political arena is the largest shift of its kind in modern times.
I was honored to play a role in the Reagan Revolution as a young man. Then, I considered myself a conservative first and a Republican second; I still do today. Thirty years later, the Tea Party movement has eclipsed that era fourfold.
Unfortunately, we are probably also four times as likely to see our movement spin out of control.
In fact, according to the mainstream media, we are already self-destructing. As usual, the reporters are mistaken. But America’s Tea Party organizations (TPOs) are facing serious challenges on several fronts.
Conservative Republican political strategist Stephen Gordon recently told MSNBC that our movement was ripe for a hijacking from the start. His reason: inexperienced Tea Party activists needed the help of experienced GOP operatives. Gordon wisely noted that, in the end, the professional consultants “want those email lists, they want the dollars, they want to control the organization.”
Gordon is right; we are a takeover target. Already major TPOs are being accused of lining the pockets of top-notch Republican operatives and individual entrepreneurs in the Tea Party movement. In Florida, three men disguised as Tea Party activists are flat-out hijacking the movement to promote unfit candidates.
The name “TEA Party” was quietly registered in Florida last summer and rolled out to the great surprise and dismay of state activists. Nobody had heard of the founders; nobody had met them at Tea Party events. Soon the party announced their support for State Senator Paula Dockery, a RINO candidate for governor, and threatened legitimate TPOs with trademark litigation if they continued using the Tea Party moniker.
A spokesman for the newly registered party, Doug Guetzloe, has a long and notorious record of running political trick plays and compromising on core conservative ideals. The deceptive Florida TEA Party could be used to promote Guetzloe’s clients and, more importantly, hurt their opponents. Guetzloe has, for instance, spoken supportively of liberal Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL), who Tea Party activists hope to replace with a more conservative, liberty-minded candidate this November. He also has been an advocate of Dockery’s candidacy, which is requiring probable Republican nominee Bill McCollum, a solid conservative, to dedicate resources to a primary battle that would be better spent in the highly contentious general election campaign.
Worse: a U.S. Senate candidate by the name of Jorge Lovenguth has made noise about running under the Florida TEA Party in the general election. This is another clear signal, this time to both Marco Rubio and Charlie Crist, that the new party intends to be at the general election table. According to Guetzloe’s record, that means money.
In just one month, the leaders of the registered party have been quoted representing Florida TPOs in the state media and even in the recent New York Times Magazine feature on Florida Senate candidate Marco Rubio. Clearly the media has been duped already; rank-and-file Tea Party activists are next.
Fortunately, Florida Tea Party activists and organizations quickly united in a federal court action against the perpetrators of the new party. Their complaint against the Florida TEA Party and its founders, filed last week in Miami federal district court, asks for a declaratory judgment separating the two groups and a court order to stop the party’s threats of litigation.
The unified coalition, built so rapidly behind the lawsuit, is an indication of just how robust our Tea Party movement is today. South Florida Tea Party v. TEA Party proves TPOs are united when we face a common enemy out-of-step with our shared values, bent on hijacking our movement.
Because that spells trouble for liberals in both parties, they naturally want to close their eyes and pretend we are disappearing or self-destructing. We will not. Impressively, America’s Tea Party movement boasts approximately five million members today. According to a recent Rasmussen Poll, a majority of Americans view the Tea Party movement “favorably” or “very favorably.” Clearly our upside growth potential is hugely significant to the future of American politics.
Nobody knows better than the grassroots how this movement comes alive at Tea Party protests, 912 rallies and other events. There is a lot of potential energy there to be harnessed. Of course, many politicians cannot resist the urge to poach. And then there’s the money. I don’t begrudge any entrepreneur, but the buyer–and the seller–must beware, especially in cases like the Florida TEA Party.
Let the liberals mistake our growing pains as a death rattle. In truth, our remarkable and promising movement is sorting itself out in a healthy manner, even when facing major political obstacles, and we’re not yet one year old.
We must protect our independence vigilantly and pursue our shared goals with enthusiasm and collaboration. Every day we are not working together, we take one step forward and two steps back. With the unity we have demonstrated against the so-called TEA Party of Florida, we proved we are at our best when we stay focused on the whites of the enemies’ eyes.

OH, NO….DON’T DO A ‘THIRD PARTY’ IN FLORIDA OR ANYWHERE ELSE. THIS WILL ONLY GUARANTEE THE LIBERAL/SOCIALIST/MARX WILL WIN AGAIN IN NOVEMBER.
I AM A TEA PARTY BELIEVER…HAVE BEEN TO 3 PARTIES BACK IN ILLINOIS THIS SUMMER.
WE HAVE A ‘REAL CHANCE FOR CHANGE’…DON’T BLOW IT!!!
DEMOCRATS ARE ALREADY SAYING TEA BAGGERS ARE JUST A BUNCH OF IDIOTS WITH SIGNS AND OTHER NASTY REMARKS ALL OVER THE MEDIA. DON’T LET THAT BE TRUE!!!
Way to go! You pegged it. The tea party activists do not need a party. We need good people to support into office. Many of those people are probably right on the street corner holding a sign and just haven’t realized their calling. There is no need for a third party to unify us. We are without party boundaries, just AMERICANS! We are intelligent enough to figure out the best candidate that meets our values best! A third party will only hurt our chances of instigating a change! We have already seen what we are capable of: Scott Brown! We can only try to improve the “pool” of politicians and then hold them to HIGH standards and replace them if they fail us.
A 3RD PARTY WILL BLOW IT TOO FOR MARCO…don’t you people see that? MARCO IS GIVING CHARLIE A RUN FOR HIS MONEY…THAT’S WHY OBAMA CAME TO FLORIDA TODAY TO BOLSTER CHARLIE AND GET MORE VOTES. I DIDN’T SEE IF CHARLIE WAS HIDING WHILE OBAMA WAS HERE, BUT THEY WERE PROBABLY BEHIND CLOSED DOORS SOMEWHERE.
My take on this is no one could highjack the Republican party if they didn’t mess up so badly due to George Bush moving to the middle. He did so by not being too liberal and not being conservative enough, and having no back bone to stand up to the liberal out of control congress.
Our commander and Chief did this by leaving the borders wide open which gave drug cartels, and criminals rights using race as an excuse to stomp on our LEGAL AMERICAN rights as we finance them at the expense of the American people cuz he wanted his cake and eat it too at my expense. This practice allowed the Democrats to highjacked the illegal voters due to folks coming in on guest worker visas needed by big business or farmers, with them overstaying their welcome.
They did so by getting driver’s licenses to drive and to vote in our elections illegally so which is sooooo un-American. The liberals created their socialistic agenda by frauding out welfare system to care for their voter base, illegal voter base at our expense to build up the union jobs.
Bush made socialism ripe by giving 80 billion to Fight GLOBAL AIDS, and another 800 Billion for the international bank robbers right before leaving office. I voted for this man twice, and I’m not happy over all the free work I did for the GOP party in order for my legal hispanic rights to be infridged upon due to incompetence on both sides.
Bottom line if you were honest and held true to your core values as well as THIS constitution which this country was founded upon which is for the people we the PEOPLE and if you didn’t SELL us out to special interests you wouldn’t have this hostile liberal communist take over, nor would we have such a huge Depression.
Instead of forming a new party to take on the behemoths of both the Dems and the Repubs, we should take the far easier and much more likely successful path of taking over, or retaking control of, the Republican Party.
Remember it was a splinter conservative third party in ’92 that took votes from Bush and gave us 8 years of Slick Willie. While we survived that (just barely), there is no way we can survive 8 years of Obambi and the Demonrats in power because a third party diluted conservative strength.
Instead of forming your own party from the ground up, take control of the GOP and use their name, brand, and already established infrastructure to save the country. I don’t really see any other possible way to keep us from going into the abyssal hole of Socialism, if not outright Communism or Fascism.
@ Jeff
Right on! Well said.
Sure. Start a third party, split the vote and let defeat slip the jaws of victory. Excellent history, Jeff.
Javier, are you the fellow who started sending Shark Tank updates to me?? I’m pretty happy that you did, because this Rubio race is heating up, and it’s like I’m on the ground there.
Hook Tito up, too. He was just referencing this today on FB.
Monkster,
Thanks! I will see Tito at CPAC next month. R u going as well?
RINO Senator Lindsey Graham’s comment; “I’m not going to let the Republican Party be hijacked by the likes of Ron Paul” indicates to me that Senator Graham has sold out as have most career politicians. For the Republican Party to succeed, they need to adopt some Paulinista ideologies. The first one is breaking the cartel of the Federal Reserve System + Wallstreet Banks + Career Politicians (both Republican and Democrat). Thomas Jefferson warned us all. He said that this cartel will one day rob all Americans of their wealth to the point that our children will awaken homeless in the land that we conquered. His warning has come true. The people must unite and take America back. It is with glee that the cartel and their propaganda media spins things to cause a split in the Conservative movement. The cartel will not give up easily. We must not either.
I’m against a third party, just because the republican party was represented for a minute by McCain and some other RINOs doesn’t mean that we should let anyone hijack my party. Yes I’m a true, conservative Republican, and I believe in everything that our Constitution says and represents
I also am a Christian, but if some people were to come along, who call themselves Christians, and change what Jesus represents would I stop calling myself a Christian?
I agree with Jeff. United We Stand: The Tea Party movement should work within the Republican Party structure to advance solid, no nonsense conservatives in the primary and defeat the socialist Democrats in the general.
Let’s face it, the GOP needs the energy and passion that the Tea Party folks can provide against these radical, neo-Marxists in DC. They proved their value in NJ, VA and MA.
Divided We Fall: Just like 1992 with the Perotistas taking 20% of the Bush/Quayle vote, if we separate and work in different camps, the Democrats will divide and conquer. Why do you think MSNBC stirs this “controversy” every day?
Speaking of dividing, who is calling Paula Dockery a RINO? She’s an outsider and she speaks her mind. RINO means liberal Republican and any fool can see Paula Dockery is no liberal! Establishment GOPers just want her out of the primary to save a few bucks. These are the same clowns that forced John McCain down our throats in ’08, remember?
Paula Dockery is a solid, pro-life, pro-gun , anti-tax, anti-big-government conservative running against a career politician. Don’t get me wrong, Bill McCollum is a nice guy and a good Republican, but so was John McCain
I say let’s stick together, keep the Tea Party folks in the Republican Party and leave it to the Republican voters to decide our nominee–Dockery or McCollum—then let’s kick some Democrat Ass! That’s what’s really important.
I’m a Tea Party attending Republican and I know both candidates for Governor and both of them are conservative. I happen to be supporting McCullem but I know Paula Dockery and she was reluctent to run, but came to prominence when she fought as a State Senator against the payola purchase of the CSX Railroad and the wasteful endebtedness that Choo Choo Charlie and his CSX Lobiest Senator Pepe Lepew has been pushing… It’s all quid pro Quo for these guys…
I agree with the point of this article… The Tea Party movement *is* being hijacked, in attempts by both major parties and by political opportunists as well. This is not what the purpose of the movement was about. It was not to support one party or the other, or to run as a party in and of itself. It was to force both of the major parties to recognize the ideals of the American people, specifically liberty and the confines of the Constitution itself.
As a member of the Republican Liberty Caucus, I would see it as a shame if the Tea Party movement was tied down to the Republican Party. It operates best with independence, and its ability to throw the weight of millions of voters behind another party’s candidate should the Republicans not present a solid candidate is a very real threat which has to be taken seriously. Those of us working within the Republican Party can seek to influence it from within; as can Tea Party people (which many RLCers identify themselves as also) who are registered Republicans. We tie ourselves down by necessity to one party because this is our front in the fight for liberty. The Tea Party movement’s strength is that it is not tied down to any one party, and can actively speak for or against candidates of any major or minor party.
I am hoping that the TPOs can fight back against those who would seek to hijack them – both on the local and national level – and reinforce their core position that they are a nonpartisan force ready to hold both major parties accountable, and will not be swayed by special interests.

In 2008 there wasn’t a TEA certified political Party in Florida. Now there is such a party, although the media seems to claim it is a branch of the Republican Party. Others claim it was highjacked! What would you call Republicans and Democrats being taken over by corporations, some non American?
I believe it is unique within itself, with millions of Americans who believe in upholding the US Constitution, limited government, balanced budgets, fiscal responsibility and accountability, business growth and prosperity.
Clearly the two party systems have failed all Americans in our lifetimes, especially in Florida. I feel I can make a difference but that must be decided by the citizens of Florida on November 2, 2010. The TEA political Party is quite alive in America. The only state which has an official registered TEA political party is Florida. It doesn’t matter who registered it, it is now official and will be the launching pad from which American citizens will take back our country.
The American citizens of Florida will then have the opportunity to show the seriousness of their commitment. The current professional politicians of the Republican and Democrat party have destroyed the St. Johns River and Florida waterways; big oil gets the Gulf of Mexico. I owe no corporation anything. I will serve the citizens of Florida first. Clearly, the others have not been able to.
On November 2, 2010, the date of the Florida 2010 Election, Florida citizens from whatever party they are registered to vote will be an indication of how the TEA movement is doing.
Many thousands of active duty and military veterans from every service have remained quiet, and are quite tired of both the Republican and Democrat corporation financed elections.
The 30 second commercials do not fool them. Thus far the TEA movement has been a “Pass the Word” effort with some media writing about its pros and cons, its importance, its efforts, profiteering, etc.
In the late evening hours of November 2, 2010 the voting results in Florida will determine just how serious the Tea movement is, at least in Florida, and not until then. Respectfully, Jorge Lovenguth – TEA candidate Florida 2010 United States Senator Election
Doug Guetzloe is always out for money. This guy is as crooked as they come. Hell writing this will most likely result in a lawsuit from the guy. He pretends to be for liberty but he is just out for a quick buck. He picks up and tries to ride candidate coat tails for easy money.
Go eat another twinkie doug.
Spokesman for the Tea Party lawsuit…
Hello, My name is Tim McClellan and I am one of the Plaintiffs in his lawsuit. I am also the spokesman for the suit so if anyone needs more information or clarification of this lawsuit please contact me at Tim@politicalStrateist.org.
I would like to provide additional information regarding the suit: I wrote the articles that prompted the suit, and I would like to set the record straight.
There are three guys who started the political organization named “Tea Party”. Frederic O’Neal filed the paperwork (he is a lawyer) and became the self appointed Chairman of the Party.
Fred O’Neal is a Democrat and the other two guys have been kicked out of the Republican Party and their names are Doug Guetzloe and Nick Egoroff. They were kicked out for one year and four years respectively.
To my knowledge and from everyone, I have spoken with they have never been associated with the Grassroots Tea Party Movement in any way.
They have registered the name “Tea Party” as a political party and under Federal law, they own the name. They have been going around calling “real” Tea Party groups and threatening them to stop using the name Tea party in the website name or the name of their organization. They have even threatened the National Tea Party Convention not to use the name.
The Grassroots real Tea Parties are intelligent people and know that splitting the Conservative votes between the Republicans and the Tea Party would only hand the seats to the Democrats. You have to ask yourself if they really are supporting the Tea party cause then why would they go around threatening the Tea Party Groups that would be the members of the Political Tea Party? The answer is these guys are opportunists and are looking or a way to make a quick buck.
They have a history of this type of activity and from my sources their reputations are not very good, and they are quick to threaten lawsuits if you do not agree with them. They even threatened me with a lawsuit. I have spoken with many Grassroots Tea Party people and they all have told me the same thing. They do not want to be a third party, they want to be the watchdog group to keep the Government in line.
I was one of three people here in Florida that started the first Tea Party at the Federal Courthouse on April 15, 2009, and we had approximately 5,000 people there. I then went back to my regular position and left the group for others to continue.
These three guys are constantly making up stories about how the Republican Party, Lobbyists and Big businesses are behind the lawsuit. There is absolutely no truth to these false statements.
The Plaintiffs are Grassroots Tea Party Leaders and myself, period. The lawsuit was filed on January 20, 2010 in the Federal Court in Miami. Our contention is that no one can take a name that has been in the public domain (Boston Tea Party) and used by so many groups and is such a common phrase that even little kids use when they want to have a Tea Party that it is a name that is not registerable. In addition we want the Court to stop them from harassing the real Tea Parties.
Recently Doug Guetzloe and Nick Egoroff sent out a Press Release announcing the Florida Senator Paula Dockery is challenging Bill McCollum for the Governor’s seat in Florida. The Press release also leads you to believe they may be running her Campaign, which if she is running as a Republican presents a clear case of conflict of interest. If She is running as a Republican and losses will She switch and run as a Tea Party candidate after the people already voted to say they do not want here to be Governor?
In addition there is a statement; “Nick Egoroff, an Orange County Republican Executive Committee leader.” Egoroff has been kicked out of the Republican Party for four years due to his poor judgment. All three of these guys are chronic liars and anything they says should not be trusted.
They act like Democrats in that they are always trying to blame someone else for the bad things they do.
By the way, in addition to being a Writer, I am a Political Strategist too. I work with plenty of very qualified Conservative Candidates, and they have very good character, values and are made up of the good parts of the Republican Party. These would be smaller Government, fewer taxes, support for small business, protecting our Country and using the Constitution to name a few. This however, has nothing to do with the lawsuit.
I work independently and the Republican Party was not even notified of this suit. I am a Plaintiff because it is the right thing to do. Someone has to stand up to these bullies and stop this fake Tea Party that they hijacked from the real Grassroots Tea Party Patriots.
If you have any questions or need additional information please contact.

The closed party laws are a violation of the 24th Amendment. We as American citizens have the GOD GIVEN BIRTHRIGHT to go into any primary and vote for any candidate of any party that he chooses. The Closed party laws are why the politicians in the party have control of who the candidate will be and then tell the sheep “we need you vote to beat the other side.”You’ll fools keep following the politicians we will be thier slaves. When we are breaking rocks,I will remind you,it didn’t have to be this way. There is no rights in the Constitution for the politician, only thee people.
Yea that is why i am voting OBAMA IN O12. I hate him and his, but better to be a saboteur than a Patsy
I am an individual and a 9/12 organizer. I was banned from the so called “grass roots” movement when I pegged the international NGO infiltrator leaders who heve pledged their loyalty to the UN…. All documented /// They are not grass roots. they are UN lead. Want the E mauls?
I want any and all infiltration and Hijacking info from all who have it Please

The TEA party movement is significant and to be respected. But once they must come together and form a platform and choose among competing candidates they will have the same problems as the two major parties.
Please know that Paula Dockery is not a conservative; this is a scam by the fake party founders to sell a RINO to the right.
Dockery waffles on abortion. She got that award in 2006 for work on requiring parental consent for abortions, something most Liberals agree with. But the year before she voted with other Senate RINOs on the Terri Schiavo case, allowing the poor woman to be starved to death. Those same Republican state senators who voted to kill Schiavo stuck together in 2008 to kill an ultrasound abortion measure on a 20-20 vote.
One vote could have made the difference; instead Dockery sided with the pro-choicers again. When she did, Catholic leaders voiced regret for honoring Dockery two years before when they thought she was coming around to the pro-life stand.
Dockery also voted for and supported the largest tax increase in the State’s history. She does not fight pork; that is a lie. In tough budget years like 2006, she personally larded up legislation with pork for her pet projects.. In fact, she’s is a free spending liberal who stands with trial lawyers instead of citizens and doctors and business owners.
Last legislative session, Sen. Dockery got real cozy with the Florida trial lawyers lobby to derail the last piece of legislation necessary for the SunRail project to move forward. The legislation was later modified so the trial lawyers dropped their opposition.
Dockery herself was motivated by her dislike of former Gov. Jeb Bush, who inked the CSX deal after leading the fight against a high-speed train favored by C.C. “Doc” Dockery, the senator’s husband. Doc and Paula lost a lot of money on that deal, so Paula was sworn to kill Bush’s preferred rail project.
Beyond her opposition to Sunrail, which was orchestrated by her consultant Doug Guetzloe, Dockery has done nothing even remotely conservative. She’s a one-trick RINO who is completely out of touch with Republican Primary voters.
Oh wait – she’s pro-gun too, that is true. That’s two tricks! Give her a treat!
We have to have a meeting of the Heads of the GOP and Tea Party with some grassroots folks attending. Hatch it out with a Contract from America. Tell the GOP that we will hold off on the Third Party so long as they adhere to “Our Contract” and SIGN it!!
below, a response along the same subject to Newt’s recent Newsmax article titled, “How I’d Create a New ‘Contract With America’”
“I like Newt but he keeps getting on the wrong bus. We have the “Contract From America”(spiritof94.org) coming from the grassroots level and being compiled by Ryan Hecker, a leader with the Tea Party Patriots. We the People now make up the contract and have the potential candidates sign it. That is truly Government of, for and by the people. We seem to have a problem defining what “Representative Government” really means. “Contract From America” is going to radically limit Federal Governance to its proper role. The States will handle Education (locally), health-care for the UNINSURED, and welfare. The “Federal REPRESENTATIVES” has Defense, Social Security, and Medicare, border security and a FEW other things. This is not going to be the same old 94 uprising where you guys got neatly entrenched and then fell asleep. No, the steam-roller will not stop until most incumbents are gone and half the Departments starting with the Department of Education. Respectfully, Major Ray Salas, U.S. Marine Corps, Retired.”
Folks,
I believe that the Tea Party movement should embrace the credo – principles not politics. We should be America’s conscience!
John
Wow. Looks like Dockery has waffled again, this time on Sunrail! Probably because her millionaire husband has had a financial interest in this commuter rail for years.
And her “Republican” husband says Obama is the greatest president since Eisenhower? RINOs marry RINOs.

I agree that a third party is not the answer. When Perot ran it assured us that we’d have Slimy Bill and then Bob Dole ran a lousy campaign to give us 4 more years of Slimy.
Now all conservatives need to unite in the Rep. Party and bring more like Brown to the forefront.
A third party will reelect Obama and his cronies in the legislative branches to assure distruction of our great USA.
In Florida we have a good number of true conservatists running in the GOP primaries like Bill, Marco and others. In Broward we have true conservatists in nearly every district for Congress and other officces. We have Marco Rubio, another true conservative, running for the Senate.
Let’s all eaxmine the GOP candidates, running for various Natinal, State and local offices, and get behind them to save our conutry for our families.
Harris L. Klein

If some Tea Party folks start their own political party, they will pull registered voters from the Republican Primary, correct? How does that help outsider candidates like Dockery or Rubio who are the anti-establishment candidates?
Everyone knows Rubio is a committed conservative and Dockery is a lifelong Republican running in the GOP Primary. She’s supported by (not managed by) Tea Party activists, rank-and-file GOPers, gun owners, pro-life activists etc….
So how does a splintered GOP help Paula Dockery if she needs their votes August 24th? The answer is it doesn’t. It hurts Dockery and Marco Rubio and any other truly conservative GOP candidate that believes in limited government and the fundamental Constitutional requirement of returning power to the people.
Anyone who says different is mistaken or trying to put one Republican against another. Don’t be fooled. Let’s stop bickering and stick together in one Party and crush the Democrats this fall!
HE CLEARED THE AIR HERE. Does anyone doubt Mr. Lovenguth will run against Rubio (Crist) in the general election as a third party TEA Party candidate? Read his statement above CAREFULLY.
“Clearly the two party systems have failed all Americans in our lifetimes, especially in Florida. I feel I can make a difference but that must be decided by the citizens of Florida on November 2, 2010. The TEA political Party is quite alive in America. The only state which has an official registered TEA political party is Florida. It doesn’t matter who registered it, it is now official and will be the launching pad from which American citizens will take back our country.”
I just saw this in the Ledger. Fake TEA Party of Florida chairman, Democrat Fred O’Neal, is quoted as the leader of the state’s Tea Party movement. He also confirms he is seeking third party candidates to run against Republicans.
http://www.theledger.com/article/20100128/NEWS/100129698
This is bad news. Why did Paula Dockery have these guys do this? I used to be a big supporter… but now, no so much. Not until she clears this up.
HIGHROAD: Sure Dockery is a lifelong Republican – so’s her husband, who apparently thinks Obama is the best president in 50 years. But she is NOT a conservative at all. She’s a RINO, through and through.
She’s not a candidate authentic Tea Party activists can support. She has scuttled more conservative legislation in Tallahassee than she has supported. I don’t vote for pro-trial lawyer, pro-union shills.
The only TEA Party support she has is from the fake registered party. Don’t be fooled.
Marco Rubio? Please, do you want to change things or just keep the same ol same ol? Where does he really stand on abortion and gay marriage? Take a look at Bernie DeCastro(www.electbernie.com) A True conservative businessman not a career politician. Don’t you all think we have enough lawyers in Washington? Bernie is a Republican but does not get any support from the Republican party. The Dems and the Reps. are all the same just different names.I ahve always been a Republican. But I am a Conservative first. I will vote for the Conservative no matter what party they are in. 3rd party? Maybe that is what we need. to shake up these two partys.Maybe WE THE PEOPLE PARTY. Look at the Constitutional Party.
Gary,
The Constitution Party painted itself as the party of the whackos. Have you spoken to its chairman? If not, you need to- you will see what I am talking about.
As for Rubio, you obviously havent been paying attention. Rubio is Pro-Life and supports traditional marriage.
You need to go do some homework-get involved already.
Tim McClellan: You gave an e-mail address that kicked back, undeliverable. Please check it and post correction. Thanks.
The Tea Party is a classic divide and conquer ploy. It represents itself as conservative/libertarian in order to take votes from Repubs thus giving the Dems a better chance. As others have noted here, Perot did that and gave us the Clintons. The Dems that created the tea party are still Dems. Don’t get sucked in! We love our TEA parties as a major force for good –the Tea Party is an effort to co-opt us. Keep going to TEA parties –dump the Tea party! As for the Constitution or Libertarian Parties, look at them –they are pathetic failures. Get in the Repub party and make it reflect the TEA parties ideas for less government, fewer regulations and more individual responsibility. Term limits, too.
The RPOF is bankrupt and has fired all of its staff lest 3. They still owe huge money on 08 camps. Huge!
My group has been contacting camp financiers and enlightening them as to just this type of controlled opposition.
The funding has been withheld, and the few remaining at RPOF are taking notice. They cannot even pay their salaries without dipping.
The cattle in the Tea party are going to be stampeded.
All according to a well thought out plan … To bad the Republicans infiltrating the Tea party are so ignorant.
Now is the time to go back to the two party system.
What ever you call the party replacing the defunct Repubs, try and make it actually conservative this time.
Even the cattle are starting to get the picture. Better start looking for a different mentality in leadership of forget replacing Greer. Thrasher is bringing yet more contempt with his globalist lobby ties. 8 months to go, Nobody at the helm!@! and no idea how to replace him. And we are not done yet!
Rubio is going to be massively discredited at the worst moment and troy Stanely is in trouble, same problem as usual. No body trust those you are loyal to. Tell rotary and the UN to get out of the US
any body want to help contact the historic large camp financiers with a message?? contact Bob at rburtonv@windstream.net
Accurate to an extent, which is a big part of the reason the Conservatives begun passing on the Republicans a whole decade ago, or at the very least ended voting for their nominees. Im pretty middle-of-the-road, but no way was I going to vote for a Bush or McCain. All The Same, the Presidency simply has so much force – they CANNOT legislate and a more precise assesment of spending comes from looking at who is running the House and Senate, not the White House. The Obamabots are making a differentiation when it accommodates them as their President sputters to act out his agenda, and the Bushies did the comparable when the position was reversed later in his Presidency.
I want you to know, your article goes to the core of the subject. Your lucidity leaves me wanting to know more. I will immediately grab your feed to keep up to date with your blog.
