As political races heat up around the state, the race in Florida’s House District 112 is shaping up to be a very spirited one. Born and raised in
South Florida and married with 3 children, Jeanette Nunez threw her hat in the race in early 2009. Nunez has worked for the Jackson Health System for the past 5 years as Vice President of Government Affairs. Nunez is very well known in political circles and brings a lot of experience in state and local politics to the table.
The few times that I have spoken to her, whether it was in person or via the phone, Jeanette struck me as an ambitious and committed campaigner with a passion for serving the people of the district she is running in. Over the past several months, all of Nunez’s efforts have paid off as she has jumped into front-runner status by aggressively focusing on her grassroots efforts and fundraising.
Here is a bit more about her:
‘In addition to her roles and responsibilities at Jackson Health System, Jeanette has demonstrated her commitment to the South Florida community by being involved in various organizations, such as Kristi House, Community Partnership for the Homeless and Leadership Miami. She is a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Jeanette has also served on the Florida Hospital Association’s Uninsured Taskforce and the National Association of Public Hospitals Fellowship Program, where she was recognized as a “National Success Story” for her advocacy efforts. In 2007, Jeanette was named a South Florida Woman of Distinction’.

That’s a scarey looking woman! Her eyes look like she’s on speed or something.
I would like to know what her Republican credentials are. She is running to be the Republican candidate for Dist 112 and we all need to make sure she is one.
NO MORE RINOS! No more R’s voting like D’s!
With all the issues going on at Jackson, what is her position and what has she done pro or con?
We need to know our candidates, and just because she can raise money shouldn’t give her a free pass!
Her position in Jackson is she is the lobbyist for JMH. Now if she couldnt even represent one Hospital correctly she wants to represent a District!!!
i don’t know what to tell you. I rather her, than Juan D’Arce, the other guy running for office. shark-tank just isn’t exposing all the information here!

i’ll take my chances with Jeanette.
I was wrong. Jeanette Nunez is part of the Jackson Memorial disaster. Why is she even running? Shark Tank should see into this issue as millions in tax dollars are at question.

“That’s a cozy deal unless you’re a taxpayer.
This week, a newspaper busted Republican Representative Jane Adkins of Nassau County for voting on and even writing legislation which would allow a business owned by her husband to keep receiving the more than $300,000 they collect in state contracts.
Republican Jeanette Nunez of Miami, herself a lobbyist, has collected most of her $46,000 in campaign contributions from fellow lobbyists and health-care industry businesses while she is employed by taxpayer funded Jackson Memorial Hospital. Even worse, Nunez’s job at the hospital is hiring lobbyists to represent the facility – the very same lobbyists who are bankrolling her campaign.”
Come to think about it, that story about Juan is old and I can’t find anything that would make it mean anything aside from it being a leftist media attack. I am concerned about Jeanette and her inability to represent the people since she is a registered lobbyist.

Her donations are evident of this precarious situation.
Worse of all, that whole department was let go and it seems that she quit right before. Does this mean that she is not a good lobbyist either and other lobbyist may see her as a pawn? Point to ponder upon.
Great job Jeanette! Very happy that we have you going into office. Please remember why we put you there…to lower our taxes and get government out of our lives. No more government wasting, no more massive government please!
