The Reilly Factor in FL-20
The Republican primary race in Florida’s Congressional District 20 continues to heat up as businessman Brian Reilly is making a strong play for the congressional seat presently held by Miss Congeniality herself, Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D). 
Reilly was actually the first candidate to announce that he would run for Congress in FL-20, but he took a step back after the passing of both of his parents in July and December of last year. Since then, Reilly has been quietly organizing his team to run an aggressive local and national campaign. Reilly has already scored a couple of major endorsements as The Fraternal Order of Police and the Florida Right to Life organizations have both endorsed the Reilly for Congress campaign in the 2010 election cycle.
Barbara Collier, the Chairwoman of the Broward Christian Coalition, also gave Reilly her full endorsement. In a recent phone conversation, Collier stated to me that Reilly is a “very knowledgeable and successful businessman who is strong on the issues of smaller government and less taxes…someone we need in Congress.”
The aggressiveness of Mr. Reilly’s campaign is ready to manifest itself quite publicly, as his campaign will be unleashing a blitz across several major national media outlets over the next several weeks. In addition, Reilly has recruited several members from the Scott Brown for Senate communications team that has already had success booking major media appearances for him. It was the Brown campaign that sought out Reilly several weeks ago after receiving numerous inquiries from organizations around the country that identified Reilly as being a contender that could beat Wasserman-Schultz.
Mr. Reilly struck me as professional, amicable, confident, yet humble individual – a candidate, like many others we’ve profiled, who appears to be running for all the right reasons.

This Reilly guy looks like he could be the real deal. It’s going to be a tough primary, but he certainly seems to have “the juice” that the other candidates don’t seem to be putting forth at this juncture.
I think the Republicans would do well to get behind one candidate to go up against DWS. While many people are good and worthy, we need to concentrate our strength.
My choice is Robert Lowry. He has been running – consistently – all along. He has been at Tea Party after Tea Party, done the rounds of many Republican clubs and has a functioning campaign team in place.

RE:Reilly -The TRUE determination of a persons character in politics can be made in how they spend their personal time. I have seen firsthand the willingness of Brian Reilly to spend massive amounts of personal time on issues and people he is passionate and concerned about, even when there is no gain in it for him.
I dont think a candidate should be judge as the best candidate because he goes to meetings such as Lowry and standing on street corner waving signs and yelling at cars like a lunatic like Lowry has a reputation of doing,I guess Reilly losing his parents made it hard to be on at alot of rallies. I give him credit for the courage to do this after such an emotional loss. I think we need the best candidate with the best backround and it appears Reilly could be this person look forward to hearing more from him!

So many politicians never keep their promises. I have always known Brian to be an Honest, and hard-working man, that always stands by his word. I believe in BRIAN REIILY all the way!

This guys has a good presence about him.great confidence. I hear that all the candidates in Florida are pretty good.I remember the Lowry guy having issues months back with the whole gun range thing. I live in Texas and it was the talk of the town that day.
Even though I love what he did, I think that it really damaged him.
My friend just told me about Mr. Reilly, and I watched his video skeptically. I can’t believe what an honest person he is! He speaks from the heart, and he will be the best for my district. I’m amazed at how much he wants to change things for the better. I believe in Mr. REILLY … finally a real polititian!

I have known Brian since college, and he has always been a hard-working, family oriented person. He looks like a candidate that can sit across the table with corporate business leaders and lead our country and not let “Big Business” take advantage of us anymore. We need him in Washington!
I was very pleased with Brian’s ability to get his point across as it relates to imigration issues sensibly and yet very to the point that we need a reform, but we also must be fair to those immigrants whom are contributing to the growth of this country while being thougher on those who are just taking advantage of the system at citizens expenses. He seems to be sincerely interested in making changes that would benefit us immigrants as well as the citizens of this great nation. Best of luck in the primaries!
A successful, realistic business man is what we need, not a career politician. Jobs and illegal immigration is linked in my eyes and he touched on both. I will be putting my support behind Brian Reilly.
I met Mr. Reilly last summer and the thing that I liked about him is that he did not seem like a politician – or what we think of as a politician. He owns hos own businesses and came from a hardworking (and large!) family. He makes sense when he talks.
He has good appeal to young people like me.

I must say Brian Reilly brings a fresh and positive approach to the table. I was thoroughly impressed with his effective yet but positive ideas which would spur necessary changes to the government. I was also impressed by his passion and desire to make things better for individuals, business and in general,the American people. I dont believe he will get hung up on the petty political issues which have been prevalent for many years in Washington. Brian Reilly’s ideals would benefit the American people and after all..isn’t that what Congress is supposed to be about? VOTE REILLY FOR 2010!!!

While this is the first I’ve really seen of Brian, he seems like an EXCELLENT man to run against debbie wasserman-schultz! He answered all questions well with sense & thoughtfulness. He has private sector experience & background that affords him the knowledge needed to make sound economic decisions on the serious issues that face us today. His thoughts & ideas on immigration are sound & he seems able to speak to most issues in a thoughtful & straight forward manner. A man well worth watching & supporting. I live in a different district and therefore cannot vote for Mr. Reilly. Brian knew that, but still reached out to my family, strangers in need of help. He took the time out of his busy schedule to assist us and I am very grateful for his help. He is the real deal, a common sense candidate that should be a very welcome change from the politics as usual. I wish I could vote for this gentleman!

Brian Reilly has the right ideas at the right time. A good work ethic,time in business and the belief that small government works better. We need him to help restore our country now.
Humble beginnings will more often than not create common sense. Seems like this man has his head on straight, and may do some good where others have failed or been led astray.
It was a quick video, and the answers where not answered in depth, so I’d like to see more details in his answers on a larger variety of subjects. But, he looks like he could be a very strong leader, and just what a state representative should be.

Brian Rielly is a man that I love and respect, to say the least. I don’t have to say that just because he’s one of my favorite cousins, but I will.
I’d vote for him, and that’s saying a lot, because, even as a Liberal Democrat, I stick to my morals.

Isn’t Scott Brown the one who turned voted with the DEMs when he got to Washington? I’m not sure I would vote for someone who is endorsed by individuals endorsing Scott Brown. We need a conservative who will vote the way the people want, not make deals in Washington.

I am impressed! Finally, a politician, who speaks clearly on the issues! This man gets right to the point and undeniably speaks from the heart. I particularly liked his comment of offering solutions to our problems rather than the usual criticisms or double talk I see now. We don’t need members of Congress or anyone in our government just talking about the problems they see or pointing fingers anymore; we need them down in the trenches of Washington working TOGETHER to fix what’s broken.
This man is accomplished, educated, knows the meaning of hard work, and his values appear to be deep rooted. He is a likeable candidate and will prove to be a force to be reckoned with come Election Day. The American People need not tolerate all the smoke and mirrors or things like government run healthcare being shoved down their throats; well… not if we elect men like Brian Reilly anyway.

Mr. Reilly comes across as another Young conservative that will help us take our Country back! I am impressed with his core beliefs in a smaller yet more efficient government; less, not more taxes and his understanding of the word “illegal” as it pertains to “amnesty”. I have not completely “vetted” Mr. Reilly, but based on this interview, I like what I see and hear. Best of luck to you Mr. Reilly. Let’s get it done in 2010 and 2012! I just have to say that the Lowry campaign is over and done. This guy did not stand up for his friends when the chips were down. Payback sucks, all the grassroots support has backed away after that boneheaded stunt.

FINALLY, the people of District 20 have a candidate, Brian Reilly, to represent them….NOW, the people of District 20 need to make sure he does go to Washington to do the job that needs to be done for US, not only the people of District 20, but also for the rest of OUR COUNTRY. I first heard of Brian Reilly last summer after my daughter and her son met him at a Tea Party. She came home singing praises for him…. “Mom, he believes…. he really believes… just like you and I and Dad do… the same things…and he wants to run…go to Washington…. make a difference.” And, my 12 year old grandson added “Mom Mom “he was a nice person..he talked like we do… made sense…talked to ME. I will be at the next BREC meeting to meet Brian. I have been with Lowry from day one and he is getting better and stronger. He also is not a politian, lawyer or lobbyist. Just a small business man. He is a true constitutional man. He was vetted and endorsed by Icaucus. My main concern is getting a grassroot candidate to Congress and turning over the seat to the people where it belongs.
