To no one’s surprise, Congressional candidate Karen Harrington (FL-20) qualified for the Republican ballot, the winner of the primary will face Congresswoman Debbie
Wasserman-Schultz this November. Harrington will face a contested primary where she will compete for the GOP nomination against Robert Lowry, Donna Milo(Transgender candidate) and Brian Reilly. Lowry has also announced that he will also be submitting his qualifying paper work. Both candidates Milo and Reilly have already qualified and are poised to make a strong run in the primary. There is no clear “frontrunner” in the race, even though the Lowry Campaign has made the claim that they are the true frontrunners. However, this claim is a bit odd considering the fact that Lowry has only reported a mere $158 cash on hand with the Federal Elections Committee (FEC) as of April 1, 2010. Check out Robert Lowry’s FEC Report here.
Harrington’s campaign has kept a relatively low profile and seems to be making strides throughout the district with her grassroots orientated campaign.

The highly anticipated fireworks at Monday night’s Broward Republican Executive Committee started off with a bang, but ended with a dud. The first order of business was the Chairman and Vice Chairman’s election to the Committee. Many in the room, including myself, have been
doubtful about how fairly the election would be conducted. That doubt turned out to be rightly justified during the process of electing the new Chairman, when now former Chairman Chip LaMarca did not acknowledge a motion from floor to table the election. The motion in question was then seconded, and LaMarca immediately addressed another motion rather than dealing with the first motion to table the election. The motion to table the election was within the rules, so it is a mystery as to why it was ignored. Be that as it may, the motion to table the election was recinded by the member who called for it in the first place. After about 10-15 minutes of bickering … Continue Reading
Davie,FL- Governor Charlie Crist visited the McFatter Vocational School this morning to express his gratitude for the support he has received
from Teachers and their unions for vetoing SB6. I spoke to several students that were holding up ‘thank you’ signs to Governor Crist, and it wasn’t surprising to learn from them that the Broward Teachers Union (BTU) was in attendance and selected which students should hold the signs. The Union representatives in attendance made it very clear to me that they were the ones who told the kids to hold up signs, thus supporting the students’ claims. It’s nice to see that the Teacher’s Union does not engage in age-based discrimination, and is more than happy to use children as political props for their own selfish political reasons. Bravo BTU, woo hooo!
I asked School Board member Kevin Tynan as to whether he will continue to endorse the Governor if he makes the leap to run as an Independent or NPA in the Senate race. Tynan answered ” I swore an oath to the Republican Party.”
The Governor’s remarks were very short and sweet, nothing noteworthy to report. Crist simply thanked everyone in attendance and took pictures with the hundreds of students and well-wishers.
Through crack reporting in murky and camouflaged waters, The Shark Tank has learned that U.S. Senate candidate Marco Rubio will be
receiving yet another high profile endorsement this weekend. The politico who will be endorsing the former Speaker of the Florida House is none other than the Former Speaker of the U.S House of Representatives and all around good guy, Newt Gingrich. Lone Shark was able to sneak up the Hollywood Beach coastline undetected and snatch the scoop from a very close and reliable source. This endorsement is just another feather in the cap for Rubio, as Republicans across the political spectrum begin to realize that soon-to-be Independent Governor Charlie ‘Chuckles’ Crist has proven to be nothing but an empty suit and disappointment to millions of Floridians and supporters across the country.
Could Former Senator Rick Santorum be the next politico to endorse Marco Rubio for the U.S. Senate? It sure sounds like it. Santorum is said to
be considering a run for President in 2012, but I have been told by a very reliable source that he is in fact ‘strongly’ considering the run. If Santorum does come out for Rubio, he will join other conservative heavyweights such as Mitt Romney, Sen. Jim DeMint, Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin-well, she did ask him to call her. The Shark Tank would like to reiterate our earlier prediction- if Governor Charlie Crist either drops out of the Senate race or runs as an Independent or NPA, Marco Rubio will receive a flood of Republican endorsements and support.
At yesterday’s Rubio campaign event in Tampa with Fmr. Governor Mitt Romney, I caught up with Marco behind the scenes where I had some
very direct questions for him regarding the struggle against Radical Islam and Global Terrorism. During his address to the crowd of around 300 people, Rubio continued to use strong and unambiguous language to describe the Global War on Terror. For the past several months, Rubio has been using the very terms that have been censored by the Obama administration to describe the threat posed by Islamic Jihadists to the U.S. and the rest of the world- terms such as ’Global War on Terror (GWOT)’; ” Islamic Jihadist”; and “war on terrorism”. In our interview, Rubio does not mince his words as he opined about the lack of leadership by the Obama administration on this vital national security matter.
Fort Lauderdale, FL, April 19, 2010– Today, the Shark Tank announces its endorsement of three Republican candidates for both federal and state elections in the South Florida area. The editors here at the Shark Tank appraise all candidates by three primary criteria before we go on the record and stick our fins out of the water for them. First, we verify that the candidate in question has a viable campaign in terms of infrastructure and resources; electability- meaning that we believe the candidate is capable of winning a primary and general election, and third, that they champion a principled and conservative agenda that will offer a clear alternative to the socialist and facsistic Obama agenda. The editors of the Shark Tank are not so much enamored with individual politicians as we are about serious and principled candidates whom we believe will be loyal to the conservative movement and to the restoration of first principles.
