I attended the debate for the purpose of deciding who to vote for. I listened carefully and took careful notes on their positions. Robert Lowry was the clear winner. I have no issue with the other candidates and will actively campaign for the winner of the upcoming August primary. But make no mistake, Lowry is the most qualified of the three candidates.

It finally dawned on me that some people may think herpes is only a sexually transmitted virus. Thus, I guess I should mention that anyone who’s had a cold sore has a herpes virus which remains forever in the body.

The debate was fascinating. Donna spoke well and describing solid conservative positions, but most responses were a little too general for my taste.

Karen presented a string of Republican talking points in a gratingly high pitch. Her closing seemed mean spirited–not what one would expect of a potential statesman.

Lowry’s responses, on the other hand, were detailed and interesting. They sprinkled with humor which, despite other comments here, was well received as evidenced by laughter and applause.

How many different political parties has lowry been a member of.
How many wives has he had?
How many jobs couldnt he hold?

Seems to be a trend here…..

Each question and answer session lasted between 9-18 minutes! So there is no way to be able to post the debate in its entirety. Also, all of the answers given by the three candidates were 3 minutes long-the questions alone were just as long. Hahaha

The answers given by the three were long and drawn out.The clips cut were the highlights of their responses to those particular questions, regardless if some of them were longer than others.

Not saying you did anything other than objectively “report” what you saw by way of the assembled clips, but therin lies the problem – it’s what YOU saw.

Solution to the cries of “BIAS”? Compress and post the entire uncut, unedited version and let the viewer see and decide based on the whole story, not on selected/editied comments, responses or answers.

Wasn’t there, don’t personally know the candidates nor do I live in CD20. However, I would like to see the debate in its entirety to analyze and decide for myself about each candidate’s performance relative to the questions asked, the context in which the responses were given, the specificity of said responses, etc.

That’s a crtical step in being able to offer my support – identifying my “candidate” of choice through a study of the COMPLETE set of facts, not a subset chosen for me by someone else.

While I appreciate the informative intentions of the blog post and attendant video clips, there is such a thing as creating more problems than you solve with any given action (i.e., the law of unintended consequences). What has frustrated most conservatives is that liberals want the country to focus on their intentions when acting – not the consequences or results of those actions. Let’s not fall into the same MO by taking shortcuts that lead to division or can be construed as biasing.

The lame-street media has used sound bites, editing and clips to further their own agenda for so long that the public has turned to alternate media outlets such as this blog spot to gain a more balanced and truthful accounting of events, people, issues and so on.

Please, let’s not inadvertently (giving the benfit of the doubt here that this wasn’t intentional) fall into the same shoddy or deceitful practices of using technology to obfuscate. We’ve got to hold the conservative ideal to the highest standards – even when inconvenient or expensive to do so – if the average voter is to once again perceive that there really is a difference between the 2 parties/ideologies.

Lowry and his gay Campaign manager Legg-erace wrote my initials on the target and shot at it. This would make them liars because they said they did not know who scribbled my inittials in the first place.
