The Real Charlie Crist Comes Out of the Closet
Long time observers of Governor Charlie Crist knew that it was not a matter of ‘if”, but when. Crist has finally shed whatever remained of his “Ronald Reagan” conservative clothing and has put on 
the hot liberal pant suit that we always knew fit him like a glove. Crist has given his full-throated support of uber-liberal U.S. Supreme Court judge nominee, Elena Kagan. By exclaiming that he supports Kagan “a lot… I think she’d do a great job, ” Crist has clearly shed his inhibitions and come out of the closet, never to return again to his former ways. As Kagan’s record is brought out of mothballs, we have learned that she has strong reservations about upholding 2nd Amendment- does this mean Charlie also getting soft on his much touted Pro-Gun position too? More likely, he never even bothered to vet Kagan at all, and is support of her is once again based on nothing more than pure political calculation.
Let’s also remember how Crist opposed Judge Sonya Sotomayor when it was still cool for Republicans to do so last year. You have to wonder if Crist really supported Sotomayor all along, but publicly opposed her because it would not sit well with his then Republican base. Charlie would do something like that, you say? Of course Charlie Chameleon would, he’s made a career as calculating opportunist who will go wherever the political wind blows.
Here’s a little list of Charlie Chameleon’s flip-flops-
Flip #1-He said he would not run as an Independent-would only run as a Republican.
Here is Charlie’s quote when he was asked at the Fox News debate by Chris Wallace if he would run as an Independent. “I’m running as a Republican. I’m very proud to be from the party of Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, others that really have stood up for our party, like Ronald Reagan. This is a great party. It has a great future. We have a great opportunity to win in November. It’s important that we put a candidate up that can win in November”
Flip #2-Now Charlie is against off-shore oil drilling, before he was for it, which came after he was originally against it.
Flip # 3- Twice told ex-Presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani that he would support him in his Presidential bid. Crist then flipped Giuliani the bird and endorsed Senator John McCain instead.
Flip # 4-Pledged not to raise taxes, but then raised the cigarette tax. Stating that the reason he signed off on the tax hike was to bring awareness to the health issues associated with smoking-not that the fact that the tax raised revenue to help balance the state budget.
Flip # 5- Charlie has swayed to and fro throughout his career on the abortion issue, choosing to campaign one way, and then govern in another. Crist’s latest position will be an attempt to court Democrat voters and highlight his Pro-choice credentials. Crist recently said that there is “probably not a whole lot” that would convince him to sign House Bill 1143, which he has yet to receive from the state legislature.

I can’t wait till November to retire old Charlie. It will be like that old tuna fish commercial “sorry Charlie”.
Our family knows Crist by first name and because of his betrayals to us personally, betrayal to Republicans and his ignoring (wink-wink) of Greer’s misdoings and mismanagement, as well as, his purported receipt of AMEX card gifts from Johnson/Greer and whomever else, we will assure 25 voters go to the polls to vote against a person who is “a political feather in the wind”. Those voters we will assure go to the polls will be RUBIO voters. Take that to Rasmussen for evaluation.
Sorry Charlie. Starkist Pelosi and Charlie Tuna need to be gaffed and used for GatorBait. Marco Rubio is the new fresh face of Truth, Justice and the American Way back to Prosperity in Our Great State of Florida. Vote for God Fearing, family loving, Conservative citizens like Allen West and Marco Rubio who have the vision to begin a Fresh New Greatest Generation our Parents and Grandparents would recognize as their legacy to their children. Then rest assured in the Future of America.
When we saw Crist embrace Obama he signaled his embrace of Saul Alinsk as well and since that time he has shown he ,like Obama, is a student of situational ethics and will say or do anything to get elected. One needs only to look at A. Specter (now-X Dem. Penn.) to see what mold Crist was cast in.
Crist is a joke. Does he really think that people can trust anything he says? Rubio has my vote.
I feel betrayed by the Charlie I once knew.
I know Marco is telling truth, he has not dodged any bullets with me. We need a brave young man to fight the sharks in D.C. We need Marco.
I never liked Crist since the first moment I moved to Florida. Even though he supposedly was a Repub there was something about him that I just didn’t like. I never supported him for governor in the primary and only voted for him (much like McLame) just to keep a Dimocrap out of the governor’s office. Like that made a difference.
And now I see I was right about him all along after all these years.
It’s time for the Governor and the Clemency Board to keep the promise and issue the pardon of Jim Morrison. It only takes less than 3 seconds for an up-or-down vote. This was promised in 2007. What’s the holdup?
Crist got married to cover his sexual orientation when McCain was courting him for an endorsement and a possible VP. Now he is stuck with a wife and not vice president and will not be a US Senator. Another flameout. At least new wife has money to spend.
Is the right wing willing to lose seats in Congress to maintain purity ? Crist is going to win, and you pushed him out of the party. The guy was popular until he embraced Obama on stage in front of cameras. And because he is a closet homosexual ,that disqualifies him for office? sheez. I thought all closet homosexuals were republicans.
