Memorial Day Weekend Party to Benefit Forgotten Soldiers Outreach
Lake Worth – Red, White and Blue! The flags will be flying high as Blue Martini – Boca, Blue Martini- West Palm Beach and Blue Martini – Ft. Lauderdale to bring out the Stars and Stripes with a patriotic party to benefit Forgotten Soldiers Outreach. On Sunday, May 30th starting at 5 pm “Celebrity Bartenders” will step behind Blue’s famous bars to stir up support for our soldiers. Their tips will be donated to Forgotten Soldiers Outreach!
The event will kick off with a presentation a local school’s ROTC color guard, and, followed by Blue Martini’s band, who will keep the event rockin’ all night long!
Also joining the party will be members of our local police and fire departments who will be on hand to salute our military both past and present.
“We need to support our troops and I am pleased and honored to chair this great event on behalf of FSO. Our troops are not registered Democrats, Independents or Republicans, they are simply public servants serving the community as they are told. We must ensure they are not forgotten, they are a natural resource we must treasure”, says Tara Laxer, FSO Event Chair for Blue Martini Fundraiser and FSO Honorary Board Member.
Patrons are encouraged to bring in 3 foiled packs of tuna, disposable camera, big bag of beef jerky or fusion razors and in turn will receive a free drink and complimentary hors d’ oeuvres.
About Forgotten Soldiers Outreach (FSO): Since 2003, FSO has been sending out monthly “we care” packages to our United States servicemen and servicewomen serving overseas with the mission of sending “a little bit of home” to assure they are not forgotten.

I second that
“Support Our Troops.” Used early in the invasion and occupation of Iraq as a counter to the growing anti-war movement, this patriotic slogan has since undergone a metamorphosis. As the scores of mentally disturbed soldiers return from the battle fields to their home-towns and try to re-integrate into society, their friends and families are learning that no amount of support can ever heal the psychological wounds that soldiers suffer. I invite you to my political discussion blog: http://pltcldscsn.blogspot.com/
This Day is all about the selfless servants who have served this wonderful country and have allowed us our freedom. Thank a veteran today and always.
