District 20′s Serial Exaggerator- Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz Takes ‘Funny Math’ To New Heights
Pembroke Pines, FL – Given the burdensome task of spinning her party’s dismal economic record and domestic policies, Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz has a daunting job- to defend the indefensible. As one of her Party’s leading spin-doctors, Congresswoman Wasserman-Schulz provided the audience of Stuart Varney’s Fox Business Show yesterday with some very dubious assertions that left Mr. Varney rather amused and perplexed.
Insisting that her Congress and the Obama Administration are focused on “job creation and turning the economy around”, Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz unloaded a whopper of a claim. As she was directly asked about our nation’s 10 percent unemployment rate, Rep. Wasserman-Schultz made the very dubious assertion that, “On the pace that we’re on with job creation in the last four months – if we continue on that pace – all the leading economists say it is likely that we will – we will have created more jobs in this year than in the entire Bush Presidency.”
Perhaps Congresswoman Wasserman-Schultz’s staffers need to better prep her before she goes in front of a national televised audience and starts making such absurd statements. According to the Wall Street Journal and the Bureau of Labor Statistics, over 3 million jobs were created under President George W. Bush during his eight years in office. For Rep. Wasserman-Schultz’s statement to be accurate, this economy would need to generate 2,427,000 more jobs before the end of the year. In other words, the economy would need to produce 346,714 jobs every month for seven straight months. What’s more, according to www.recovery.gov, as of April 30, the $388.4 billion of the so-called “Stimulus Plan” was spent creating or saving 682,779 jobs nationwide- that breaks down to roughly $286,000 per job , hardly a reasonable price for taxpayers to swallow for jobs that pay workers nowhere near that amount.
“For Congresswoman Wasserman-Schultz to continue to defend this kind of reckless, wasteful spending, it goes right to her credibility- she’s not interested in accountability or efficiency, she’s only interested in partisan spin that puts a happy face on an outright failure,” said Karen Harrington, candidate for Congress. “If we are serious about creating stable private sector jobs as opposed to government-created jobs at huge taxpayer expense, we need to empower small business owners to grow and reinvest in their companies. We must make the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts permanent, cut capital gains tax, and eliminate the death tax. All Congresswoman Wasserman-Schultz and her colleagues in Congress know how to do is grow government spending, and it is amazing just how little she knows about growing a small business, much less the national economy,” said Harrington.

Why do liberals always have hyphenated names? Just curious,no slander intended.Maybe sort of like the hyphenated-American syndrome? Liberalism must be a mental disorder, like ADD, only CSDD (common sense deficit disorder.Maybe she’s just on Psych drugs and needs her Meds upped. How did we ever survive before Psych Drugs anyway? Excuse me, I digress,it’s just difficult living in the Spin Bin these socialists have turned the country into.
Debbie Wasserman Schultz needs to be voted OUT ASAP.
She is a disgrace and makes statements that make her look like a fool. Example: The dumb unemployment remark she recently made.
I am so sick of Wasserman-Schultz. She does not represent me at all. My vote is for Karen.
