RNC Secretary Sharon Day Lays into Crist and Chairman Bozo
RNC Secretary and Shark Tank fan Sharon Day has released a well written and lovable letter directed at former Republican Governor Charlie Crist (I) and former
RPOF boss and newly jailed thug, Chairman Bozo himself, Jim Greer. The Governor and many of his little minions across the state, especially in Broward, knew very well what Jailbird Jim was doing with the RPOF monies that are in question today. What the Shark Tank would like to know is, will Jailbird Jim start chirping away and give up more of his ‘peeps’? And, how far up the the ladder (one rung, perhaps?) will the investigation into this corruption take us?

Charlie Crist is a nice enough guy and someone that I admired and supported for many years until recently and not because he switched from the Republican Party, but because what he did was all about him and nothing to do with “the people”. Had Mr. Crist been polling well as a Republican he would have stayed a Republican. To state anything different is, well, “just wrong” and to blame those pesky “primary voters” that have taken over the party as why he became an Independent, well, is “just silly”. I supported him financially and more important I supported him with my time, my energy and my name. He was someone that while not perfect I thought was honest and had a good heart, but no more.
It is unconscionable that Charlie Crist when asked about Jim Greer’s arrest could make the type of statements he has made;
Crist said he did not “feel complicit” in Greer’s activities.
“It’s surprising,” Crist said. “Sometimes you’re disappointed by people.”
When asked did Crist know about a bogus poll? “Not until recently,” he said. “It’s all very odd.”
When asked did his staff ever brief him on Greer’s troubles or Victory Strategies? “Not much at all,” he said without further elaboration.
Crist stated that he was disappointed by Greer’s arrest but does not think it will hurt his independent Senate campaign and for Charlie Crist that is what it’s all about…him. Not our party. Not what our party has gone thru in the past or will continue to go thru in the days and months ahead because of his hand-picked Chairman…just him and his Senate race.
Unfortunately for the past three years with the leadership or I should say “lack of leadership” by Jim Greer and Charlie Crist as the titular head of our party, we find ourselves where we are today. We have an ex-chairman that has been arrested and a Governor that acts like he is living in the movie “Groundhog Day” with him having the ability to re-invent history and change the outcome of what has happened in the previous days.
As a long time committee member I have been a proud member of our Republican Party of Florida and like many of you, I have had the opportunity to serve with different Chairmen over the years. Each of these Chairmen had their own unique styles and personalities and over the years our proud Republican Party of Florida has shared a common goal to get Republicans elected, to build and strengthen our county and state committees and to treat our donor’s and their contributions with the respect they deserve. That has always been our common goal until the last three years under the actions of Jim Greer and the unwavering support of Jim Greer by Charlie Crist.
The sad legacy and history of our state party during these dark days will be Jim Greer’s and Charlie Crist’s burden to share together. Together they brought down our proud house; one by his actions and one by his lack of actions. Charlie Crist cannot be allowed to walk away from Jim Greer when it is convenient and behave like he did not know what was going on. We cannot allow Charlie Crist to walk away as an innocent bystander when he was leading the parade the whole time with Jim Greer by his side.
In Charlie Crist’s own words, “Chairman Greer has and always will have my unwavering support,” Crist said when Greer finally resigned in January. According to the media his statement remained on Crists U.S. Senate campaign site, as of 7:00 am Wednesday, June 3, 2010.
As Forrest Gump’s momma used to say, “stupid is as stupid does”. If Charlie Crist is now claiming not to have known of what was going on or what Jim Greer was doing well then maybe he slept to well in the expensive hotels that he and Jim Greer stayed in …or he ate and drink to well from the mini-bars and room service…or maybe there was some memory problems caused from the altitude while flying in the private jets… or maybe it’s just what Forrest Gump’s momma used to say, “stupid is as stupid does”. In any case, none of the above choices are what Florida needs in its next Senator in Washington. We need elected officials that do know what is going on every day.
As Ronald Reagan emphasized, “America is a shining city upon a hill whose beacon light guides freedom-loving people everywhere.” As Republicans let’s do all that we can to elect our Republican candidates and bring America back again to that “shining city upon a hill”.
God Bless America and God bless each of you.
With warmest regards,
Sharon Day

The house we hope to build is not for my generation but for yours. It is your future that matters. And I hope that when you are my age, you will be able to say as I have been able to say: We lived in freedom. We lived lives that were a statement, not an apology.” Ronald Reagan

Dear Sharon,
I have always admired your leadership and support of our Party. You have said it all and said it well. The mutual admiration society of Crist and Greer needs to be exposed for what it was/is. The absolute last thing the Republican Party and our country needs is self-serving officials who really care nothing about “the people’s” interests. In fact, I believe this is the reason our country is in the shape it is in–too many working for selfish interests and not the good of the country and our citizens. God Bless YOU for your bold statements! Maureen France
Former RPOF Volusia State Committeewoman
Sharon nailed it. Crist is a crook and he hangs with crooks until it is no longer convenient. His answers to the Greer questions were lame, at best. He knows he supported, endorsed, and protected Greer while everyone around him knew Greer was a crook. Now Crist wants to conveniently distance himself from Greer, like he distanced himself from Rothstein. Kind of like Obama distanced himself from Rev Wright.
Crist is a huge disappointment and has damaged the Republican party incredibly. But for some reason, he’s still around.
Crist needs to be totlally exposed on this. He also needs to be unemployed.
Charlie Crist will be a byword….he has sullied his name and confirmed his liberal -progressive double speaking self so many times now you would need a neck brace to keep up. He is plastic!
Jim Greer was a heartbeat away from handing Charlie Crist the Republican nomination for US Senate. Greer suceeded in persuading National Committeeman Paul Senft to sign a letter to the RNC invoking “Rule 11″ a move that would have effetively cut Rubio off from most support in the Senate race. Only National Committeewoman Sharon Day had the courage to stand up to the bully. And that was about a year ago, long before it was safe to do so.
All the more reason to heed her words, spoken not out of sycophancy, but out of courage and conviction.
KUDOS, Sharon Day!
Sharon has always been a class act. If Charlie would not listen to the party members that knew something was amiss with Greer, then how on earth does he expect people to believe that he will listen to ANYONE if he makes it to D.C.?
When I found out that Sharon Day was the RNC Secretary, I wrote Chairman Steel that he should use her in every way he can. If he would turn her loose she could help lead the way to victory in November. I have heard her speak many times and when it was over she always got a standing ovation.
Keep up the good work.
It’s good to see so many people have finally gotten the message about Charlie Crist. I took a lot of heat last August when I asked my Republican Executive Committee of Volusia County to approve a Motion to Censure Gov. Crist for the many un-Republican actions he had taken. In a nearly unanimous (3 nays) vote, we passed the Motion and sent it along to RPOF and Gov. Crist. The media asked him what he thought about it and his response was “not much.” This new mantra is applicable to nearly every situation involving Mr. Crist.
The fact that he a) didn’t know the RPOF Chair was milking the system, or b) didn’t care is evident in his slavish devotion to Mr. Greer.
I have not had the pleasure of meeting Sharon Day but I am very thankful she has the backbone to stand up for what’s right. With more like her, we’d have far fewer of the Crist and Greer types in positions of authority.
Looking forward to a Conservative landslide in November!

Sharon Day is indeed a class act. She’s been a faithful, honest and hard working part of the Republican Party since I first met her about 10 years ago.
I’m new to Florida politics, but, I admire Sharon Day and wish her a long and illustrious career in Republican politics.
I love Sharon Day! She is the only one that has the guts to tell you like it is! And I respect that…
Bravo, Sharon! More Days, Christies, Jindals, and Palins; less Specters, Scozzafavas, Jeffords, and McCains!
