FL CD-19 Candidate Joe Budd Interview

Florida’s Congressional District 19 has seen alot of action over the past year. Just this past April, we saw a special election take place to fill the seat vacated by the Democrat Congressman from Maryland, Robert Wexler. The GOP primary in February turned out to be nothing less than a trainwreck disaster with (3) Republican candidates negatively attacking one another in what became a very divisive primary. Candidate Joe Budd narrowly lost the GOP nomination and soon thereafter vowed to run against Ted Deutch, the Democrat who went on to win the Special Election. Mr. Budd, who is now the only Republican candidate to qualify for the November election, sat down with the Shark Tank to discuss policy issues as well as some personal issues that were brought up during the primary several months back.

Great back half of the interview… Not happy with the “excuses” he gives to problems that occured years ago. While they probably are true. I dont see how its fair that we should just believe you for face value, when Budd accused his previous republican opponent of similar things- Issues that he has the are occuring now and being taken care of. Granted those issues are millions and not hundreds of thousands, but different risks involve different things.
I hope Budd will recognize that and stop sending out his “mean wife” to spread lies. That isnt what wins elections. You want to talk about character stop running against Lynch who isnt running and start developing a strategy against Deutch.
Just you wait and see what the media does against you Budd towards the end of the election. Its nothing against you, but they have a tendancy to castrate great republicans.
Character? What about how you said you wouldn’t support Lynch if he won the republican primary? I guess you believed that liberal Deutch was a better representative choice then a proven conservative republican?
This man was the real candiate this past winter. Lynch and his band of thugs embarrassed the PBREC and themselves. Budd will put a better face on the race and represent the party with respect. Unlike Lynch .

Jessica — “Joe’s mean wife”? Are you serious? Is CD-19 the kindergarten of Florida politics, or what? C’mon already!! Ed Lynch ran — twice; Ed Lynch lost — twice. Let it go, Indiana.
Playing party politics doesn’t make anyone a principled candidate for any office. Joe is allowed to support or not support anyone he chooses, using any reason he thinks might call his own character into question at some point in the future. Asking Joe to support someone for an office simply because he’s got the right letter after his name on a ballot is part of the reason the country is such a mess right now. We need principles, not parties.
Their judgement, and the choices they make, are two of the many parts of the crucible that IS the political process; It’s up to the voters to decide if a negative attack has “gone too far”. Like a crucible, it is designed to burn off a candidate’s impurities, refine his/her metal, and make him/her the strongest candidate possible to face the challenger from the other side.

I am surprisd Nappy head has not commented yet. Nappy is bashing Joe on her Facebook page for no apparent reason. I think maybe she is still thinking that Lynch and his mob are running for Congress . It is apparent that deadbeat Lynch actually thinks he was a legit candidate and has a future in politics. With big boobs bimbo and fat rat on his team, he is a shoe in to be the next failed candidate for whatever race he runs in.

I’m a new comer to all of this, but I’m learning fast. From that point of view, I’m very concerned to be reading any sort of infighting or dissention within our conservative ranks. I agree totally with Mr. Fulop with regards to the need for principles, not parties. No matter “who started it,” we all need to stop the bickering, name calling, and dirt digging, and cast all aspersions aside. Realize that such things have played a major role in getting us to where we are
The most important thing for all of us to focus on right now is the condition of our country, who is on the ballot in every district that we can effect in a hands on way, and what they bring to the table. I don’t for a minute know everything about either of the men in this race. What I can say is this though.
On the republican side, we have Joe Budd. I’ve met Joe and been in mixed company with he and his wife on several occasions. From what I can tell, he’s a regular guy like the rest of us; he’s had his share of problems and he’s dealt with them to the best of his ability, and has stood tall. I also think he is a genuinely good and decent man.
I agree with his stand on the issues I’ve heard him discuss and I certainly agree with what he had to say on this video.
As for Mr. Deutch, I’ve never met him and he might be a very nice man in his personal life. But like most of us these days, I listen carefully to what each candidate has to say about the issues. It so happens that he is a Democrat, which wouldn’t prevent me from voting for him if I did live in CD 19, and I don’t. What would prevent me from voting for him are his positions on issues I care about, and the endorsement by his predecessor who I held in equal disdain. He and men like him represent everything I believe is bad in our nation’s capitol.
I believe we need less men like Ted Deutch and more men like Joe Budd and Allen West representing us in DC, and I would hope that we can all put personalities aside and work towards that end.

it seems to me joe budd’s story has changed. A LOT. when running against lynch, all he did was talk about how ed owed money to these debtors, who if/when ed gets paid will get pad in full. by the financial planner SETTLED FOR PENNIES ON THE DOLLAR and then acts like its the good responsible thing to do? “I could have filed for bankruptcy” so what? you still didnt pay people what they were owed,the same shit you crucified ed lynch for.

To the people who think Joe is somehow dirty because he negotiated a settlement with his debtors, what are you looking for in a leader? I myself want someone smart enough to do the best thing for his family under those circumstances. I don’t beleive for minute he set out to lose the money and rip people off.
Also, if you hadn’t noticed, we’re in South Florida. The bankrupt, no credit, identity theft capital of the nation. We have huge “groups of people” that are bred and proud to rip you and this country off. If negotiating a settlement with his creditors is the worst thing the opposition can find well I think that puts him in the top 1% in Broward.
So Joe settled on his debts, so what?! This is common practice and most of us know it. What about that dead beat Lynch? Wasnt or isnt he underwater with his mortgage? Is he not trying to negotiate with the lender? better yet, has loser Lynch paid back all the money he owes,are his liens, suits or whatever hanging over his head, still open?
What about all the stuff he complains about, are those things in his past like Budd’s are? I doubt it because Loser Lynch surrounds himself with other Losers and doesnt have the character in him to settle his finances.
