The NRA Political Victory Fund just released their ratings for Florida’s State and Congressional candidates. To no ones suprise, Allen West-candidate FL CDE 22, Karen Harrington and Donna Milo- candidates FL CD 20, Paul Crespo andDavid Rivera-candidates FL CD 25 and others, made the grade with A’s . Some candidates suprisingly scored less than an A, but inexplicably Robert Lowry, who is running in CD 20 as well, failed to make the grade.
Here is how the NRA-PVF grades: http://www.nrapvf.org/WhatTheGradesMean.aspx
AQ A pro-gun candidate whose rating is based solely on the candidate’s responses to the NRA-PVF Candidate Questionnaire and who does not have a voting record on Second Amendment issues.
? Refused to answer the NRA-PVF candidate questionnaire, often an indication of indifference, if not outright hostility, to gun owners’ and sportsmen’s rights.

We don’t have to express how important this NRA-PVF grading is for a candidate in an election year, and how the grade will influence thousands of voters who are supportive of the right to bear arms-2nd Ammendment to the Constitution. Click here to view the entire NRA Grading results
Not going to get into the federal stuff, glad to hear Allen did well. Just wanted to remind voters to check the grades of state candidates too by clicking on “Florida” at the same link.
This is more than “just” about our right to bear arms, although that alone would make it important. But this is also about our views on individual powers, states rights and limiting government to the original intent. I’m honored by my AQ rating. I don’t have much of a problem with candidates who get question marks, as they may have just missed the survey. But candidates who get low grades on this survey are not in line with conservative thinking on individual rights.
Yes, Yomin got an ‘A’
I think his point is David Maymon got a C-. There’s trouble in River City.
Does the “?” mean that the candidate was given the survey and they responded that they did not want to participate or could it mean (As Yomin has suggested) that they just missed the survey? I would like that clarified from the Lowry campaign. Of course, either way it’s not good that the Lowry campaign missed such an important survey.
Javier,
In order not to create any confusion regarding this rating, the NRA called me from Washington DC yesterday and told me that they had rated Candidates having Primary elections only…
They will grade Candidates going to November elections later. I can predict for sure that Alcee Hastings will definitely get an “F”.
NRA ratings are very important in Florida and my constituents are expecting me to get an “A”. They made it clear to me two weeks ago in a meeting in Indiantown in Martin County. Voters in other counties where I am running are equally concerned about the NRA ratings.
Yomin was concerned when he did not see my name in the ratings, I called the NRA in Washington, because Federal Candidates are rated in the Nation’s Capital, not the State Candidates. They called me back yesterday to explain that they will have my rating before November.

Lowry didnt even bother with the NRA grading. What a ‘no-brain’ piece of garbage?! Harrington has got my vote.
If you as a candidate do not take time to fill out the NRA survey then you do not deserve my vote!
Check the grades again. Robert did not fail. He definitely made the grade.
you are a fool. He made the grade after his minions cried to Freedomworks and skewed the results…typical move my desperate campaigns-things Democrats do.lol
