Rick Scott Visits Gunshow after ‘A’ Rating from the NRA (VIDEO)

by Javier Manjarres

Republican Gubernatorial candidate Rick Scott attended the Suncoast Gun Show in Fort Lauderdale this weekend to meet and greet with supporters as well as with the gun & ammo dealers in attendance. The NRA gave Rick Scott an ‘A’ rating, where as they gave his opponent in the primary race, Bill McCollum a ‘B’.  Both candidates received these good ratings but, and ‘A’ is an ‘A’ (see the grades here-NRA Grades).  This gubernatorial race is by far one of the most, if not the most contentious primary in the country.  Both sides have taken shots at each other and each side has boasted about their recent gains in conflicting opinion polls.  The last poll conducted was released this past Friday, and showed Scott up by 10 points. Here’s a roundup of the polls written by our friends at Politics Daily.

  1. Gop Values says:

Actually Sharky you’re pandering to the Scott campaign continues and the LATEST poll done by the chamber of commerce had McCollum up 12. That was among “likely voters” not the crap St. Pete Times push button poll of “registered voters”

  2. bill-tb says:

    An A beats a B everyday.

I think the NRA A rating shows WHO IS LYING AND WHO IS THE REAL DEAL CONSERVATIVE…

  3. Switched to Rick says:

If Sharky switched to Rick, he’s not alone. These small polls make great PR but I don’t think they are big enough to to represent the size of FL. Bill voting for tax increases 42 times sealed it for me. A private sector exec. would prefer to make cuts. That’s what private businesses do. They don’t have an automatic ATM funded by tax-payers.

  4. Fl. Republican Voter says:

Glad I saw this article! My vote is for Scott!

  5. Sally says:

Rick Scott got an A rating and McCollum got a C? My vote is for Scott now!

  6. CowBoy Bill says:

I always know who to vote for when I go on this site! Go Scott!!!

  7. 1776Liberal says:

I was a toss up voter until I saw that McCollum voted against the 2nd Amendment for residents of DC. Thanks again NRA for helping me break a stalemate.

  8. El Sharko, you have now officially crossed the line and have you nose so far up Rick Scott’s ass it is getting ridiculous.

Rick Scott was at the Gun Show for 5 to10 minutes before he ran out because his opponents asked him what was in the deposition of the lawsuit he settled just days before he filed to run for Governor.

How did the NRA rate Scott, since he has no record? Bill McCollum after seven terms on the State Legislature and being the Attorney General for Florida has a solid background to back a rating on. In this case, I will take a real B over guessed at A.

You flailed to mention two of the polls show McCollum up in the polls. This is a huge swing in a couple of weeks.

People are catching on that we do not need to start with a crook with no political experience that hides his background, gets the biggest fine in Medicare history of $1.7 BILLION and owns a Mexican porn company and a company that sends illegal aliens money out of the country to Mexico and South America.

Do you really think this guy would damage his companies by fighting to stop illegals? We do not have the luxury to train this crook to be a crooked politician in these trying times.

Time to wake up and smell the roses everyone.

  9. Richard L. says:

Tim McClellan, did you read this post? The link to the NRA website is clearly stated and upon reading the NRA page, you will see the results-the post is 100% accurate.

  10. As I expected it is a NRA questionnaire that the Candidate fills out. That is what the Q is in the AQ Grade.

So I stand by my assessment of Bill McCollum getting scored on a 30 year record over a wanna be Governor that may or may not of even filled out the questionnaire himself.

    In this case, I will take a McCollum’s real B over Scott’s questionable A.
