Florida Democratic Party’s Identity Theft of Allen West

What is that old saying? Ahhh, yes- “Desperate times call for desperate measures”. This saying seems to fit the Ron Klein for Congress Campaign and the Florida Democratic Party like a glove after the Florida Democrat Party released Allen West’s Social Security number in a paid mailer. The mailer republished a tax lien against West that clearly showed his ‘identifying number’- West’s personal social security number, yet the Florida Democrat Party did not edit or blur the number out in the mailing. The Democrats and Klein are already in serious trouble in this poor economic climate, but a personal attack of this nature is particularly galling, and it puts West’s personal information at risk to thieves who routinely practice identity theft. This type of gutter political attack is surely going to backfire, and it certainly will not deflect from the fact that Ron Klein and the rest of the Democrat Caucus in Congress overwhelmingly supported the Obama Stimulus and his disastrous Healthcare bill. Both men are obviously locked in a heated race in Florida’s Congressional District 22
West called the mailer “an unprecedented new low in American politics.” (Palm Beach Post-George Bennett)
Florida Democratic Party spokesman Eric Jotkoff responded by accusing West of “paranoia” and adding: “After making every effort to remove all of Allen West’s private information, unlike West who refuses to apologize to Florida’s taxpayers for not paying his taxes and his bills, we apologize for the oversight of not redacting this information from the public record included in the mailer. To end, while this mail piece does not explicitly identify any Social Security number, in order to stop the crazy West accusations, we will pay for identify theft monitoring for the next two years.” (Palm Beach Post-George Bennett)
Nice job of defending the indefensible, Eric.

That Jotkoff guy has a lot of nerve. I bet they didn’t care that Timmy and Rahm didn’t pay their taxes.
Regardless, it’s all for naught from Klein. These kinds of situations happen to people and the fact that West settled is enough for everyone save these low-life bottom feeders in the Democratic party. In fact this kind of attack by a person who’s too afraid to face his constituents are just emboldening West’s camp even more.

Ron Klein wants us to vote for him because he is rich and Allen West is not rich.
Ron Klein of course became rich because as a state Senator he pressured government entities such as the Palm Beach Health Care district to hire his law firm or else. And anyone who needed a favor from a Senator knew what law firm they had to use.
Col West just spent his life defending his fellow Americans in the military instead of having a lucrative career bilking taxpayers.
So vote Klein and help the rich get richer through fleecing the government.

Even if Allen West wasn’t the decent, conservative, patriotic family man that he is, I would vote for him because –by ANY measure– Ron Klein is as bad as it gets in the congress. He votes 98% of the time with Pelosi (that’s how he got his pet name,” Pelosi’s Puppy”). If we could have just laid him off and gave Pelosi the FL dist #22 vote –we could have saved the salary, expenses, perks and pension. Nothing would have changed with him in or out of congress –he never would have been missed.
I had also noticed, on Col.Wests other video’s/blogs, that the Libs had infiltrated .

Why is West not a media star? His nasty, charmless personality & unmasked extremism probably have something to do with it. Unlike, say, JC Watts, once the GOP’s black “real conservative” media star, he lacks the ability to put a pleasant face on hard-right conservatism & deliver it in soothing tones.

Klein is the most despicable crime spree lobbyist in Florida politics, and that is saying something. You can bet if a FL Republican had done the same, it would get the same hysteric headlines that Mark Foley’s outing on a mysterious website that disappeared in a few days got in 2006 as far as legs in the natilnal media.
