Charlie Crist: Amnesty to Save Social Security (VIDEO)

In today’s campaign appearance at the Century Pines Jewish Center at Century Village in Pembroke Pines, FL, Governor Charlie Crist spoke to a crowd of about 300 people about the problems of Social Security, explaining that the Social Security system is “solvent” until 2037 or perhaps 2041. He took shots at both his opponents in the race- charging that Marco Rubio “wants to raise the age of Social Security” and that Kendrick Meek wants to “punt the issue to another committee”.
So, if Social Security is “solvent” as the Governor states, then why would he say that Social Security is in financial trouble? And if this is really the case, why would he also state that there are also other ways, like a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants that would help Social Security and other programs? When asked why he was sending out mailers with differing messages to different voting blocks, Crist explained that he was trying to reach out to all voters.

so let me get this straight….you plundered the SS lock-box and now you want to force us to welcome invaders, care, feed, clothe , house, educate, so they can pay into to ss and then claim ss…..

Dirty secret: illegals that work in the country on a payroll with fraudulent SS numbers are paying FICA taxes. Giving amnesty would just make them eligible for benefits and certainly would not solve the problem. Also, why would illegal immigrants seeking amnesty have to know the Constitution when Charlie and most in Washington certainly don’t.
Does he realize that those new immigrants would also be taking out of the system? And that in the case of older recipients, they would take a net gain on what they paid in?
And what happens the next time SS gets too big for its britches? Is there another 10 million people that we can just magically transform into citizens once a generation to sustain us?
I live in Tampa. I have one question. Have you completely lost your mind? Charlie, you give public service a bad name.
This is how stupid this is; the bottom 90% of income earners are subsidized by the top 10%; in other words, unless you make about 100k a year, you receive more benifits than you pay for via your taxes. If we granted amnesty to all illegals, it would only accelerate the problem by introducing more net-recipients than net-contributors. Dumbass (and BTW you morons who think he’s right, this has never been nor ever will be a so-called ‘lock box’; that was myth from day one. It always has and will continue to be a transfer program).
I would have to gauge this as not even a credible lie. So you going to get SS fixed with ignorant workers, who are just going to end up on welfare themselves with the new wave of illegals?
The problem here is the illegal immigration never stops.

That’s a swell idea Chuck. Sure did work out well for Europe’s social safety net didn’t it? Maybe if you LIKE the idea of Eurabia, or the United States of Mexico. What an ass. Why are liberals so bent upon ignoring very clear examples of failure throughout history? It proves that they are completely unhinged from reality (and yes, Charlie is a liberal. If you think otherwise then you need to examine just how far off of the left side of the cliff you’ve fallen).
Charlie Crist has NO CLUE and only says what people want to hear so he can raise money and power for himself. The Congressional Budget Office has already reported that the Social Security Fund is ALREADY paying out more than it takes in today. The CBO reported that if Social Security is not reorganized, that it will eventually become insolvent and fail.
The program is already borrowing money from China to make current payments to retirees today and the amount of red ink is getting worse. Charlie Crist says on his own web site that he “..would not change a thing”.
The Social Security Program is a PONZI Scheme that defrauds Americans and enslaves them to the Federal Gov vs allowing people to be free to save and invest on their own. The Socialist Democrats started this Program at a 1% payroll tax in 1936 which is now 15% of what every person earns and it is STILL bankrupt today.
Social Security designed to keep poor people POOR vs allowing them to save money for retirement to be free of Government control. The average person would have about $3 Million in retirement savings at the age of 60, if they put 15% of their earnings away that averaged 10% growth per year in the average long term stock mutual fund. That would produce about $150,000 in retirement income at age 60 vs paying the SAME amount money to the Gov and receiving only $12,000 per year at age 78++. The Social Security Program needs to be phased out and ended over the next 25 years. The Gov cannot do this as it is using every dollar of payroll tax coming in today to pay the benefits promised to Americans from 50 years ago vs the people are paying into the fund today, it is being invested and SAVE for them 50 years from now. Charlie Crist is NOT the solution. He is part of the problem as he knowingly lies to taxpayers about this mess.
I BAILED from Charlie in mid 2009 after I caught him in more than several lies and his people like Greg Truax were redirecting donors for Bill McCollum into Charlie’s campaign telling them to put the Money with Charlie vs Bill in 2009 FIRST. Truax was behind a lot of that dirty mess. It was very dirty where I could not take the “smell” anymore so I broke ranks, pulled by support for Charlie and spoke out about as a true Conservative should have done. I endorsed Marco Rubio in Sept 2009.
Charlie Crist is dishonest with so many people. Charlie needs a new job in used car sales.

The Congressional Budget Office has reported that if Congress does nothing about Social Security and Medicare then it will become insolvent. Congress has known this since the mid 1970′s. You have to either increase Social Security Taxes and/or reduce benefits, and/or increase the age to receive benefits.
I support to reorganizing social security and to protect the promised benefits to those 55 and older and phase out Social Security for those under 55 where the 15% payroll tax for Social Security will drop to zero within 25-30 years in a phase out to end it. That provides 15% more income to private sector that can be invested for retirement and/or spent in the economy.
Charlie wants to add 30+ million more illegals to the Social Security rolls and crash the program even faster. Charlie KNOWS that he has lied to voters and that what he is saying cannot be accomplished as a do nothing and let it crash when he is out of office.
Social Security enslaves poor working families as the tax is 15% of what they earn from age 16 to life. The Gov then pays you back 2% of what they take from you and your family. They are paying our more money today than they are taking in. They have to tax you today to pay the current retirees today. This is this largest Ponzi scheme and fraud in American History by our Government. Both sides of the isle know this and refuse to tell voters the TRUTH – Social Security is a complete FRAUD. If a private company pulled what Congress is promising and representing to the public, then the FBI would raid that company and put people in jail. Today, Congress gets away with this fraud against the American public because they call it “Politics” vs a Ponzi Scheme. It is time we all speak out and demand that Congress “Discloses” the facts to voters. Social Security must be phased out and shut down in order to protect the public and our Free Nation.
