LOL body language is so loud
I agree with Coco. Marco looks so unhappy. I don’t want Marco unhappy. He will rule the world one day.
I live in North Carolina and blog on our state’s politics. We wish we had a Rubio instead of a moderate squish Burr.
We are a “ticket-splitter” state, just like Fla. I don’t know how we do it, but we have elected liberal Kay Hagan to replace household name Elizabeth Dole. She, in turn, took the seat of the Godfather of conservatism, Jesse Helms.
I look forward to seeing you in the bloggers lounge at CPAC. Was there last year and that must be how I got on your email list. My email list is subscription only, but I do enjoy your writings. You are the example of what a state blog should be!
Marco is right on the money.
Hang in their Marco, we plan to send you a better date in 2012.
Why should I be concerned this early into a six year term, after all he did change his position on the AZ law
I may go against the grain ,but historically speaking I think the Senate should go to State seating on a permanent basis. The 17th Amendment (Progressives in 1913) ended State Legislature selection of US Senators and went to popular election, making it a glorified House of Representatives. Senators should have their seating by their State.
Why did The Founders not have direct election? The Senators were supposed to be “ambassadors” from the state to the federal government. Would a state legislature that selected their senators allow the federal government to run roughshod over states rights and the principle of federalism? Look no further for the cause of federal tyranny.
did anybody else notice Marco wears his ribbon on his RIGHT shoulder and Bill wears it on his LEFT.
re: GenEarly Amen!! Repeal the 17th Amend and let the States again be represented in DC as was the original intent.
I was expecting a stronger response. Congresswoman Michele Bachmann’s response was superb!
Nelson’s days in the Senate are numbered. Best he enjoy the next two years.
Nice to see (not!) that the Dems are still in control. What would Reagan do? … he would have laughed at the “thought” of sitting together and pointed out that before last Novembers election they were LOCKING the R’s out … and said “there you go again”.
Chevon, maybe Marco is left-handed and that’s why he wears his ribbon on the right.
Priceless Photo…That’s how I always look when listening to the proverbial wolf in sheep’s clothing. He should have stayed in his office tweeting, like Paul Broun R-GA.
Wow, Rubio looks less than chummy and I don’t blame him. Who wants to sit with a loser! Nelson’s days are numbered and 2012 can’t come fast enough for the conservative wave that is sweeping the country. Honesty and itegrity needs to be the mantra of the election and hopefully we will have a number of qualified candidates.
In that photo, Marco Rubio looks like the man who went on a blind date to the movies and found an 80 years old lady sitting next to him.
He also looks like the teenage boy who went to see the movie and the same 80 years old chaperone sat between him and the girl he had invited.
Marco should not complain, he could have gotten THE OLD WITCH, NANCY PELOSI
Marco was wearing the AMERICAN FLAG ON THE RIGHT LAPEL AND NOTHING SHOULD BE TAKING ITS PLACE..NOT EVEN SHADOW IT.
THE BLACK AND WHITE RIBBON WAS WHERE IT HAD TO BE AT THE MOMENT.
Bill Nelson, like all liberals do, displaced the AMERICAN FLAG from its place, to put something else, just to show how little they respect it.
Barack Obama is a “uniter” and he is making the republicans look stupid. He is toning them down because they are all compromised. The 2 close parties are becoming 1 party untied under Obama.
If I was Marco I wouldn’t've ruined my reputation the first month of my term by sitting with a Communist pretending to be a Dimocrap like Nellie. I would’ve stayed on the other side of the chamber as far from the Dimocraps as I could.
All that crap about sitting together for civility is just that, crap. They’ll turn on the Repubs and the conservatives the first chance they get and go for the throat just like the wolves in sheep’s clothing that they are.
This SOTU was a total sham, more like Obama’s campaign
kickoff part 2 (part 1 was the AZ speech). Funny but I don’t recall the Dems wanting bipartisan seating in the last SOTU,
when Obama was rubbing the GOP’s nose in his “We won!”
hubris. When the Dems get their asses kicked they suddenly
find God, civility and bipartisanship. I also think Yahoo Nelson
will get beat in 2012 by Haridopolos. Notice former boxer, Harry Reid, lacks the huevos to put Obamacare up for a vote?
It’s because the ~23 Dems up for reelection in 2 yrs. are
scared crapless. Bill Nelson is one of those. Marco needs to
be part of a movement in the Sen. to insist on a vote and rub Reid’s nose in his own cowardice and disregard for the voters’ will.
The Congressional Royalty of both parties has begun their assimilation of the new arrivals resulting from the Nov. elections.
It appears that many of the newbies have begun to “drink the kool-aid,” and that includes our own Marco Rubio. The beginnings of another betrayal, what a shame.
What should we do, Laugh it off as business as usual, or cry?
#1 goal in Florida is to put Bill Nelson in the unimployed line in2012
Even Nelson looks in pain. Maybe he can see his reelection plans flying out the window as it becomes clear, even to him, that the emperor (president) has no clothes (or clue).
The picture looks like Smellson broke wind
wow it didnt take that coward Marco Rubio long to stab all the tea party people that put him in office in the back. now he is too good for the tea party caucus…screw him
WE WILL NOT FORGET

“did anybody else notice Marco wears his ribbon on his RIGHT shoulder and Bill wears it on his LEFT.”
i thought it was because he had his congressional pin on his left (near his heart)…and didn’t want to cover it like idiot ‘nelson’ did….one other thing…have you noticed how the majority of libs wear their pins on the right vs the left?…sad…
