Roger Stone Calls Rick Scott’s Position on High Speed Rail “Courageous”

February 20, 2011

by Javier Manjarres

Longtime politico Roger Stone went on the record in full support of Governor Rick Scott’s decision to refuse federal government dollars for the proposed High Speed rail route from Orlando to Tampa. Stone said the Governor shows “uncommon political courage” by refusing to accept Stimulus funds for a rail system that would no doubt turn out to be a bust for taxpayers  ”a sink hole, a money loser, a train that could never make money,” as Stone puts it.

Stone however feels that a speed rail route between Orlando and Miami would be a better choice than the already proposed Orlando-Tampa. Stone then goes on to give  ” Stoney’ advice to Congressman Allen West about mastering being a Congressman before seeking higher office.

I am no expert but it sounds like some politicians hired Roger to hype the Miami-Orlando train line. Part of the democrat plan all along. Great job!

  2. Marcos E. Martinez says:

No habla espanol, Marcos. Se dice en engles? Por favor?
La Raza, Si y No? Si se puede! Obama! Obama! Obama Tren! Obama Dinero!

  5. Flagwaver70 says:

Try it in ENGLISH – the language of the USA, please, Marcos. Are you afraid that if more of us understood your post, we would rail against your point of view? Is that why you posted en espanol?

  6. Flagwaver70 says:

I completely support Governor Scott in his position AGAINST the high speed train, which will not be high speed in FL. Three times the electorate has turned down this boondoggle and each time, slimy politicians keep insisting they know better than we the TAXPAYER. No, you do NOT. We foot the bills. You work FOR US! It’s about time you behaved as you should. You are NOT the boss – despite your thinking that you are. We are the BOSS! We said NO to high speed rail. If OWEbama “gives” the state the money promised – it still comes from the taxpayers and from China – we will owe loads of interest on it, and will have to pay it back, as well as pay interest on it. What part of STOP the SPENDING do politicians not understand? Let’s FIRE them ALL – including the cowardly Dems in WI – who ran away instead of doing their jobs. Can you imagine if that had happened when OWEbama demanded healthcare be passed and the Repubs had run away? They would have personally found them and drawn and quartered them. But it’s OK for the Dems to do this – NOT. I fully support Governor Scott. We do NOT want the HIGH SPEED rail shoved down our throats. It is a wasteful boondoggle that will bankrupt FL.
