Congressman Allen West hosted his third townhall meeting this week, as he addressed the James Madison Institute group on the campus of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. West addressed a host of questions including ones inquiring about Islamic Fundamentalism and illegal immigration. Asked as to what has disturbed him the most during his time up in Washington D.C., West replied that “truth is subjective when you cross the Potomac.” Congressman West also pointed out that, ”we can ill afford to have a repeat of a Sir Neville Chamberlain moment,” by continuing to ignore the imminent threat of Islamic Extremism, and if we do, “we are setting ourselves up for a cataclysmic event.”

Col. West is right; truth does become subjective once you “cross the Potomac”. Is it any wonder that when the tapes of Obama are replayed that they are full of “changing” rhetoric. For example, he has most recently stated that his views on same sex marriage are “evolving” and both he and Attorney General Holder will no longer “defend” the Marriage Act. There are so many of these betrayals of his that I could go on and on but the facts are that Obama is a subversive. He is dedicated to undermining and gutting our Rule of Law under the U.S. Constitution. In my opinion he should be tried for treason. For him to come out in public to show “solidarity” with the unions is tantamount to discrimination. He is the president of a democratic REPUBLIC; he was not voted into office through direct democracy (mob rule), which I believe he seeks to install.

My heart soars every time I listen to Congressman West and realize that through my small contribution to his campaign I have already received so much in return! One of the best investments I have ever made! Go West Go!! Continue calling them out and speaking the truth for all of us! God Bless!
What I like about Allen West is that he is a straight talkin’, straight shootin’, strong military man who has reached the highest level of moral development. He would lay down his life, whether physical, economic, or any other way, for his brothers so that they might live. One might say he is the closest to a perfect human being that you can get. Many of our military personnel are in the same category. I salute you , sirs and mams. I thank him also for taking so many opportunities to talk to the people in town hall meetings. He understands the importance of communicating on a personal level with “the people.” Unlike those that would run, and hide and shirk their duties, he is right there with them.
Lt. Col. Congressman Allen West displays and articulates with clarity his will to defend and protect the U.S.A. We are very fortunate to have him as a member of congress in the State of Florida. We, in the nation, need many more members of congress as him.
He will know when he is ready to run for a higher elected office.
With representatives like Lt. Col. Congressman Allen West, is not only Florida who is blessed and fortunate , it is the whole nation. The direct approach to the issues and the knowledge of the same is what leadership is about.
