Trump Preparing To Launch Presidential Bid as an Independent?

May 25, 2011

by Javier Manjarres

A source close to businessman Donald Trump has divulged to the Shark Tank that Trump is “seriously considering” running for President as an Independent because he believes the current Republican field of Presidential candidates is “weak”.   The source also disclosed that Trump was overwhelmed with e-mails, letters, and phone calls from disappointed supporters who wanted him to enter the 2012 presidential field after he recently bowed out of consideration from the Republican primary field- allegedly over 300 disappointed supporters called his Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach to urging him to run.  If the eventual Republican nominee does not catch fire, Trump could very well jump in as an Independent and could spend $200 million in the race, according to what he told a close confidant.   Recall back in 1992 how billionaire Ross Perot ran as an Independent candidate and took votes away from then President George H. W. Bush and gave us President Bill Clinton.

Trump recently spent $100K on lawyers and accountants who would prepared the disclosure forms to show Trump is worth $7.5 billion dollars and has $350 million cash on hand.  If Trump were to spend $200 million on an Independent run for President, what would that get him?  Trumps’s contract with NBC leaves him free on June 1 of next year.  This would enable him to launch a late blooming Independent bid and begin as late June 1 2012 and get him on the ballot in almost all 50 States- five states’s election laws would be hard to negotiate but doable; and one state, Texas, would be resolved by litigation.

If Trump were to poll at 10% or higher, this number would all but guarantee that he would be included in the television debates with the major party candidates- Trump is Mr. Television after all.

But at the end of the day, Trump running as an Independent candidate would ensure a second term for President Obama, as Trump will take away votes from whomever the Republican candidate will be.

While no doubt Trump shouldn’t be on the ballot (no third-party should, at least at this point in time). But one thing is clear as a bell, Donald Trump is one of the best things out there telling the American people like it is.

Perhaps he does have a place in politics and replaces the likes of Ms. Hilary in a few years.

  2. Sandman says:

Of course this schmuck always intended to run as an indy if he runs. He’ll never be president and the only thing he could accomplish is splitting off enough moderates to put Obama back in for 4 more years. What a nightmare. Trump please go away.

This as@ hole needs to go away.

First of all; there is NO SUCH THING as “President Obama,” as the two electronic “documents”, submitted as a birth certificate, are blatant forgeries, according to several computer experts, some of whom have been called to the expert witness stand in the past.

The two spurious “documents” offered by Resident Obama are damning evidence that he is nothing more than an usurper, who cannot produce valid credentials.

    “Trump will take away votes…”

This is how the two party system is rigged by the international bankers, who hold this country in bondage to the usury coming from the Federal Reserve and buy our politicians like so much penny candy.

What is remarkable about “The Donald” and why he will change this formula of fuzzy math, is that he has wide appeal on BOTH sides of the political aisle.

The American people will no longer play the “shifting the deck chairs on Titanic” game in a vain pursuit of partisan divide, but rather, they have come to their senses in a way that will shock the “Establishment”—meaning David Rockefeller’s secret government; the Council on Foreign Relations.

    Mr. Trump is anti-Establishment.

The GOP is nothing more than a dead man walking and if it fails to court Mr. Trump; then it will be finished forever.

The Goldwater wing of the GOP, is clearly not interested in being led about by the nose ring of the “neoconservative” agenda, anymore than it was during the last election cycle.

Nothing has changed in that regard. Go ahead, GOP; make our day!

Real conservatives will not listen this time around, to a fairy tale, designed to frighten children back into the two-party fold of the puppet masters.

Let us hope that the GOP does not make the same fatal mistake it committed during the last presidential election cycle, when it alienated half of its support.

The GOP had best get on the Trump bandwagon, before it discovers that it is the “JOKE.”

“At the end of the day…” will be a new morning for America, with President Donald J. Trump restoring the economic strength and preeminence of our country, among nations of the world.

Plain Hint For the Party That Cannot Muster a Candidate:
    Trump for 2012.

Could Trump be drafted at the convention if no one takes the nomination on the first ballot??? I’m a republican who still likes Trump.

  6. Sandman says:

Thor, your post is a complete load of horse sh!t.

quote Thor; “the two electronic “documents”, submitted as a birth certificate, are blatant forgeries,”

Even if Obama’s BC is a forgery the litigation to his legitimacy would linger far beyond our opportunity to vote him out of office. I don’t see Chump claiming it’s a fake. Waste of time.

quote Thor: “Mr. Trump is anti-Establishment. ”

Please don’t make us all laugh. He’s the worst kind of establishment. Chump donates huge sums of money to the likes of Harry Reid and even the detestable Anthony (little)Wiener because it profits him personally.

quote Thor: “Real conservatives will not listen this time around,”

Right….so they’re going to vote for a man who’s principals are driven by profit, makes a complete ass out of himself on tv for ratings of his ridiculous show and thinks Obamacare is good for America.

  7. Sandman says:

by the way Thor, why don’t you vote him president of Asguard and leave Midguard to the adults.

Strange that Trump didn’t vote for 21 years or care about politics until Obama run and he promoted him. They have a lot in common both arrogant and liars.

  9. Mike Gormley says:

This doe not even make sense. If all candidates, in his opinion, are weak, then he should run as a Republican since he, in his opinion, he can beat them. Why would he want to run as an independent and split the vote. Obama could win for sure then. We certainly don’t need that.

  10. honeygetoverit says:

    Thor;
You are spot on. True conservatives need to wake up; the banks run the show, and hyper-bi-partisanism is just a fun way of securing that status quo.

Trump has the money, experience, support and balls to stand up to the “powers that be”; just because your favorite candidate has the (R) after their name, in no way means they will do the same. Either the GOP embraces Trump, or we will see 4 more of this administration.

    TRUMP 2012!!!

  11. Trump is no dummy and he knows in his heart that if he runs as an independent OB will surely win, even without the help of SEIU or the ACORN group.

STAY OUT OF THE RACE TRUMP. THE ONLY ISSUE HE HAD WAS THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE. HE IS A SHOWMAN NOT PRESIDENTIAL MATERIAL. WHAT IS AMERICA COMING TOO?
YES, I BELIEVE TRUMP LOVES AMERICA BUT STAY IN YOUR PENT HOUSE AND STAY OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE EVENT.

P.S. I AGREE WITH THE REPUBLICAN NOMINEES GUILIANNI (NO), GINGRICH (NO) JOHNSON (NO HE IS A REAL NUT), MICHELE (POSSIBLE GOOD CANDIDATE), SANTORUM (NO-PUTS HIS FOOT IN HIS MOUTH TOO OFTEN), LOVE CHRISTIE (BUT HE SAID NO RUN)

I WANT SARAH PALIN AND ALLEN WEST AS PRES/VP

PALIN/WEST TICKET IS THE BEST BET.
