I voted “NO” to a run for President because he is focused on a congressional seat where he is desperately needed at the moment. Also, I have to confess a deep longing to see him as the Vice Presidential candidate for a Sarah Palin campaign.
I would like nothing more than to see Allen West run for President, maybe he could save us all, including Florida. A honorable man who can lead is what this country needs right now. Everyone who learns more about this man is encouraged by his leadership, and experience with defending America.
I’m sorry but I don’t think that us Republicans can beat Obama in 2012 unless there is an Allen West or Marco Rubio that is on any one ticket!
West will be willing to run if his constituents release him from his Congressional obligation so that he can run for President. He’a our next George Washington.and he’s honestly te only true solid politician out there with the fortitude, honesty and loyalty to actually be the next great President. He doesn’t beat around the bush or talk in half tongues. He’s almost too honest in what needs to be done. He would sweep Obama easily in debates with his fact filled speaking and demeanor. It’s so clear that he is the only one to save our great Republic. I just hope he can see the light as well. We need him. We can not afford to have the same old mind set in Romney, Gingrich etc try and run our show. And I fear none if them stand a chance against Obama

I also voted no because if you listen to him speak he clearly feels he is not ready. I think he would make a great president one day. I think he would be someone’s running mate if they asked him. I agree with Terry, Palin/West would be awesome.

This man is the only clear choice as the candidate for POTUS in 2012 on the GOP ticket. It is clear that he has intelligence, integrity and the teflon personality needed in the race that we all know is going to be the ugliest the left can muster. His military record speaks for itself. His support of Israel, understanding of the perils we face economically in this country and the continued threat of Jihad against our nation all frame him as the ideal candidate. I respect his commitment to District 22 Fla. Having said that, there comes a time when a window of opportunity and urgency of circumstance demands a change in thinking about how best to serve your country. This is the time Allen, for you to assume the leadership role in this country…before it’s too late for all of us.
These are extraordinary times that call for extraordinary leaders. I think Allen West is such a man. I hope people realize we should not be looking for a ‘saviour’ – the same mistake Obamanauts made, but for a real man with real leadership, real integrity and real courage. Actually, the kind of excitement surrounding West is similar to that we see regarding Ron Paul. It is a vein of genuine enthusiasm in the GOP for someone the grass roots view as authentic, not just a hack politician.
Congressman West, you have my support (both physical and financial), my trust, and my vote. Duty calls, your country needs you. There are thousands willing to work and sacrifice to help you achieve this lofty goal. I watch the polls and see others throwing in their hats. Step up sir.
@Lou Barlow – Other than a relatively small group of Libertarians, Ron Paul never reached the level of enthusiasm we witness for Lt. Col. Allen West. Pau’sl authenticity re his positions is not shared by most Americans, and his claim to adhere to the Constitution is defined only by himself and his misguided followers. They also have their own definition of “liberty”. This is why the 2008 monies raised by Paul did not translate into votes.
Allen West evokes confidence & trust by documenting and clearly articulating his positions openly, honestly, factually, and logically. He does not pull his positions out of thin air. His vast and well-rounded knowledge is exceeded only by his common sense approach.
He may not have political experience (which, in many cases is a plus), but he is well rounded in experience all issues facing us. Look what we have in the WH now! Seemingly a puppet with No experience in any area… not even good manners. Allen West is the puppet of no one, and he’s up front with his agenda for this country!

I think West would be a great President, but I really respect his oath not to run for Pres unless released by his constituents in District 22. His current constituents put him where he is now, and he is right to respect their wishes. I am concerned at the overzealousness of some of West’s supporters. I definitely am one of West’s supporters, but I also know who God is, and it isn’t Allen West, it’s Jesus of Nazareth! Breathe, people…breathe! West puts his pants on one leg at a time, just like the rest of us! We can be enthusiastic without becoming like the O-bots!
Terry in GA, I agree with you. Palin has the following. I would love to see Col West as VP with the hopes he would then run for POTUS. I have the utmost confidence in him but think this is Palin’s time and the pair would be unstoppable.
I’m a HUGE fan of LTC West and we need someone with his ideas & passion for America, however I just don’t see him having the breadth of experience. VP – yes, Senate over Nelson – I wish though probably too soon after just being elected to the House, POTUS now – no, POTUS in 4 yrs – possibly.

Please stop with the “he’s not experienced enough”. If professor barry the community organizer is qualified, this battalion commander is overqualified. And his humble opinion that he himself doesn’t feel ready yet, is exactly why he is the right man at the right time. the fundamentals of honesty, integrity, conviction and leadership are what’s needed.
I truly believe that Col. West – or someone like him (and I have not yet seen such an individual) – represents our only hope of defeating Ubama in 2012.

Palin is not capable of winning folks. Please get a grip! Far too many people hate her and as a conservative I’m not at all thrilled about having her as president. In fact it’s embarrassing to think she’s the best option. Colonel West playing VP to Palin would be like Reagan being VP to Quayle. One is an obvious leader, and the other is a shrill voiced screamer that will further weaken our image in the world at a time when we desperately need to strengthen it. Seriously, can you see her negotiating with China or Russia on foreign policy issues; or worse the latin american or middle east nations that generally lack respect for women. This country NEEDS a man like Allen West! If he can be drafter to run I would work tirelessly for him. He is the PERFECT candidate. He has military experience, he has leadership experience, he embraces the Tea Party, he understands the true danger of radical Islam and he understands its history as well. And, as a smaller side note, he removes the liberals ability to charge conservatives and Republicans with racism. Allen West is an American hero and patriot. I have no doubt Allen West is well equipped to rise to the job of Preisdent. He would make a great president. What I am concerned with is the compulsiveness of the People.I have heard media voices get excited about Palin,then crazy over Bachman.And when Trump jumped on the birth certificate they got excited that he is taking an issue the politicians and Talk Radio have dodge. They were excited because of his business success.We went through the emotions with Rubio and Jindall constantly thrown out there and forgetting the birth certificate with Obama they are ignoring the same exsists with the latter 2.And on and on and on…

If Allen West runs, I will support him with money and time. When I first heard him speak at CPAC, I said to myself that I would follow him anywhere. I am a vet with two combat tours. We need a man with courage and integrity to lead our country back to where we belong. Pray that Allen will answer the call.

Col. West is a very humble man and honorable man. He is definitely a leader and would be 1,000,000 times better than what we have now!
I admire and respect Congressman West. However, I have decided I will not support any republican candidate for POTUS who will not support and defend constitution by challenging Obama eligibity.
All of you who say West should, or will be, President, have it all muddled down because he has so far refused to run, and based on his recent vote with the Patriot Act, when he first voted “yes”, then just recently voted “no”, just goes to show another Rhino/not thinking clearly politician who may have been thwarted in the back rooms of the House, I imagine. You talk of him being a Patriot, ok, he is a good hearted man at that, and his integrity from being an honored officer in the military and in conflicts with our enemies is a good basis for running and becoming President. However, it is not the only qualification for being one. There is one man who can pull all of this off because he was chastised in his own state, sued in his own state by the ACLU, had spent thousands of his own money defending himself under the First Amendment to the US Constitution, and was the Alabama Supreme Court Justice who was removed from that very position for displaying the Ten Commandments wooden plaque (that he hand carved himself when younger), and displayed the Ten Commandments on a stone monument in the Alabama State Courthouse, and was called the “Ten Commandments Judge”….former Supreme Court Justice Roy S. Moore. Look him up at http://www.roymoore.net, and get his book he wrote about how all this came about and why our forefathers wrote the Declaration of Independence and why they wrote the US Constitution, and why all our Presidents, politicians, who take that oath of office and end the last four words with “So Help Me God”….the same name of his book. You really need to read that, and you really need to read about Roy S. Moore….this is the TRUE PATRIOT of our time. This is the TRUE and honest man of our time who can defeat this current POTUS and win every debate against him and even possibly can be our next greatest President….Roy S. Moore! If you really need to find our next great Patriot of all time, Roy S. Moore is the one you need to stand behind. God’s grace is with this man, I feel it in my heart and mind and body…..Roy has to be the next President of this United States.
I Know that Col. Allen West is what our country needs, of this there is no question. However no one man can do the job that is at a “Emergency Status!” The ship is already on fire and many of us do not realize it. We need a team that will be able to reorganize the whole of the structure of the Government! The Republican party is not the answer, I am sorry this is a proven fact….The American public is being played with a multi-media game to make us think things are former and shaping to become better, even with all of the quote unquote conservative speaking and actions. Someone will have to have the fortitude and boldness to begin to undo all of the bogus Executive orders that Curious George and those before him have made that are strangling America, dissolve so many un-necessary and useless committees and sub committees that serve no useful purpose. Totally restructure the State Department and put it under the control of Congress! About 25% of the government has no real occupation or purpose and need to be sent home. The UN support of the United States needs to be a “Public Voted Issue!”. Americans do not realize it but about 26% of our whole national budget in one way or the other is directly involved with the UN and we pay more than 30% of the operational and budgetary needs of the UN as well, and with this Administration the UN determines more of what our legislative and policies will be that the American voter. Now that we have wide Internet access all Congressmen, Representatives and Governors alike should be required to put all legislature to public subscriber (Tax paying citizens of their district or State) to be able to voice their choice on matters at least 48hrs before they vote on it! No more read about it in the news…which has only allowed the Republicans to sleep with the Democrats and vote themselves increases and increase government on a constant basis. Personally I do not see this happening within the REPUBLICAN PARTY. There is a base of people within our government that if they would break away from the main stream parties and form a conservative party with People such as Herman Cain who could make a wonderful President…Understanding we need a real Administrator, with him being backed with Allen West as Vice President and give Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann Hatchets and let them go to work on all of the sub-committees and the Department of Justice, while putting other key figures such as Christy, Paul, Barbour and many others in position that we can begin to clean up the enormous mess that has been loaded on the back of the American public especially in the last 90 years. Put Mr. Jindal in as the Secretary of State because he is a real Statesman and he would diplomatically cut off and expose the poison that is being injected into our society and the world by this runaway State Department being presently run by a Jihadist-Marxist. We do not need a new face in Washington we need a solid team that can begin to reverse the evils cast upon the American people and return power back to the States and use modern technology to make Government responsible and to re-invest in America instead of seeing more than $ 260 Billion in increases of the State Department spending to aid nations who have been our devout enemies for decades and who not only do not contribute nothing to the United States but to the world alike!

Unhappy with our President and the current field of G.O.P. candidates? Tired of voting for the lesser of two evils? He is a man of strength, courage, honor, integrity and truly loves his country. That man is retired LTC Allen West who is currently a freshman congressman from Florida’s District 22.
Mr. West is a true American hero and patriot who has over 20 yrs. military experience. He led 600 men and women in Iraq and made some tough decisions where he risked his career to save his soldiers. He also risked his life to save one soldier by giving him his own body armor. That soldier several days later was attacked and struck in the chest. The armor LTC West had given him saved his life. Allen West has a saying, and that is,”I would go through Hell with a gasoline can to protect my men”. I believe that he would serve and protect all Americans in the same way.
This man does not have an agenda and is in no way a typical politician. He is humble, selfless and only wants to serve his country. He has already proven his leadership in the short time he has served in the House of Representatives. Even though his experience in politics is short, his leadership and courage under fire are immeasurable experiences this country sorely needs. He is the man you can count on to make difficult decisions when the phone rings at 3:00 am in the event of a national emergency.
We believe Mr. West is the George Washington of our time. He is reluctant to run, as George Washington was, but has stated in the past that he will never let his country down. Our grassroots effort is growing and momentum is building.
