Haridopolos really upset a lot of people when he caved to the hispanics and watered down the e-verify law to the point of being useless. He had the momentum and the people behind him on this issue, what we wanted to see was a strong stance against illegals in Florida. They are STILL here, they are STILL taking jobs and they are STILL costing millions, if not billions, in taxpayer money for schools, health care and social programs. I decided that if Haridopolos could not stand his ground on this issue, what else will he turn his back on when under pressure from RINO’s and Dems and big money in Washington? Adam Hasner is a MUCH stronger Conservative.

These Republican candidates need to remember the 11th Commandment and stop smearing their fellow conservatives. Show the differences in policy and qulaifications, yes; but one of these guys needs to beat Nelson, and he can’t do that if he’s bleeding too badly in the primary. All of them are acceptable conservatives, if imperfect on an issue or two, so for me its whoever is strong enough to beat Nelson. I do not want another Christine O’Donnell or Sharon Angle losing a winnable Senate seat!

  3. Possible Perp says:

The hapless Nelson is at 48%? Peter Brown says he’s in “strong shape”?

How long has this fellow been holding public office in Florida? He’s been in the house, was a disastrously incompetent insurance commissioner, then fell into a Senate seat with an assist from brother Jeb’s desire to play Boss Tweed kingmaker in 2000. But, it was, after all, McCollum’s turn to go up to the senate and wear the big boy pants. Gallagher was, at least, a very good communicator and would have wiped the floor with Nelson. But it was not to be.

So, how can Nelson be in such “strong Shape” having been in public office here since ’72 and below 50%? I can’t believe any incumbent, let alone this hapless tool, with his years of exposure can be feeling very secure with that number. Look how far chain gang charlie fell. He and the hapless Nelson have quite a bit in common come to think of it.

  4. LET FREEDOM RING says:

The bottom line in this GOP race – it has got to be someone who can unseat Bill Nelson! (Of course with Constitutional Conservative values). This man has got to go before he, Obama and the rest of the Progressive Socialists/Marxists/Communists destroy our country. He has aided and abetted this administration every step of the way and his time is up.

  5. Gregory says:

I would not forget Ron Rushing for Senate. He is a fresh face with a message. He is the unknown that the voters are looking for. McCalister is damaged goods. Whats he running for after this race Dog Catcher? The other candidates are simply the same old thing. Nothing is going to change in Washington with the likes of Haridopolos, Hasner or Leimeux. No keep a watch on Ron Rushing. He is what we need in DC.

  6. Bill_B says:

    “top pooch” yeah right, LOL

Having seen Haridopolos in action since what I commonly refer to as the “Property Tax War Years” this man is basically no different from our voter retired ex gov. Charlie Crist. Beholden first and foremost to the public employee unions, city & county taxing entities, a ladder climbing opportunist. The words sneak/creepy and liar also come to mind.

No doubt this all leads back to the dire need to ban or drastically limit PAID lobbyists, but then still, would this type really be any different.

One thing for sure, Hari’s is definitely no Rubio not even close.

  7. Oma says:

Yep, I’m with FLChristy and Bill, I’ve lost faith in ‘Harisnufalupagus’. Not a man of honor nor courage and funny thing his job isn’t costing him his life! What a wimp! I’ll take a closer look into McCallister and Hasner, but right now Tea Party members are talking about Hasner.

  8. 1776Liberal says:

Nelson has to go. If he wants another senate seat, he should move to Chicago where his Progressive (what a horribly corrupted term) values are the same as the people who would vote for him. Sure wish Jeb would run.

  9. Sandman says:

Senator Hasner. Sounds good to me.

  10. GenEarly says:

1776 Liberal loves “Progressives” and Bushies no surprise there, birds of a feather!
No Nelson, LeMieux or Hardopolos! All are slick, slack blowing in the wind politicos like Suntan Charlie.

Allen West could have this seat for the asking. Until then or in lieu of, i will support Hasner.

  11. Larry says:

    LeMieux & Hardopolos=RINO’S Hasner=Conservative. I’m 4 Adam!!!

  12. Elizabeth Dunn says:

    Mr. Manjerres,
Remind us all again, if you would, why Col West is not running for the Senate seat?

  13. Lightweight says:

The reason Rubio was a rock star was because he did not debate in the Primaries. No one knew who the 2 citizen candidates were.Rubio did not face any media events where he was asked questions about his record.

All of the Florida GOP candidates did not face the candidates who would bring up their record.Rubio did not debate the 2 candidates in the Primary,I bet you can not name who they were. Webster did not go to the debate with Grayson,Metcalfe and Dunmire. Mica did not do a Primary or a General debate.

The GOP trend was no debates and the only GOP politicians who did go to their debates accross the country did loose. All of these were in office less than 2 terms. The should have noticed the old timers were smart enough not to let the new Tea Party population of first time registered voters hear the voting records.

  14. Sarasota John says:

Today candidates wear so much makeup that it’s difficult to tell which one has broken out. So it clear, Clearasil is the down fall of all politics.
