One can agree or disagree with just how funny and talented George Lopez is as a comedian- it’s true that he is one of America’s most popular comedians with a large following. But Lopez’s schtick becomes old really fast when he perseverates race and ethnic relations, and he’s often guilty of the same bias and bigotry that he routinely mocks in his own routine.
With former Governor Sarah Palin moving closer to a possible Presidential bid, Lopez really stepped in it on his Twitter account as he commented on Palin’s forthcoming move to Arizona. While many may see Lopez’s tweets as humorous, they make it clear that he not only has issues with enforcing our country’s laws, he’s got his own biases that he has about folks who hail from backgrounds different from himself. If Palin or any other ‘caucasian’ were to have posted the same tweet, the media pile-on would have been huge.
Rest assured the media will give Lopez a pass, as they hold him out to be some sort of “ambassador” from the Mexican-American community whose job it is to inform the “ignorant” (i.e. persons of non-Mexican heritage) about what the real 411 is in the barrio.

He’s a comedian! It’s a funny joke that’s making fun of his own people. He wasn’t insulting her. I do wonder what his true standing is on the illegal alien issue. The immigration issue should be addressed separately. It should cover the people entering now. Current illegals should be rounded up, set up for Citizenship and given their income deduction for back taxes. If they have committed crimes while in this country, send them home and deny reentry.
1) This, based on a stand alone joke was somewhat funny (that’s setting aside the fact I’ve heard him actually insult Sarah Palin trying to act like he was funny)
2) lopez not understanding how real Americans feel about the very simple differance between legal and ILLlegal immigration is NOT funny.

I stopped watching him a while ago when I heard (and I couldn’t believe my ears)him say something like: I’m paraphrasing, “Now we are going to have the people of color get power and have things they never could have before…..we are now in control…” The point is he became that Hollywood elete with no business experience, some with no college education (not that it helps always)….he came on the band wagon with slogans and slurs against “all white people”…in short he went from comedian to a__ hole. AND I’M GLAD HE WAS CANCELLED.
Lopez is an America Hater and shame to Hispanics everywhere.
