Adam Hasner Reaches Out to Conservative Bloggers, Denounces Obama’s Involvement in Libya

June 27, 2011

by Javier Manjarres

U.S. Senate candidate Adam Hasner held another conservative blogger conference call this morning as he attempts to shore up his conservative base of support.  Hasner opened the call by stating why he was the only person in the race that could beat Democrat Senator Bill Nelson in 2012. The former Florida House Majority Leader also took a swipe at two of his fellow senatorial candidates Mike Haridopolos and George LeMieux. Hasner referred to Haridopolos and LeMieux both as either a “Tallahassee establishment candidate” or a “D.C. establishment candidate.

On the issue of Libya, Hasner stated his opposition to the Libyan operation from the very beginning and that President should have sought Congressional approval first instead of pandering to the the Arab League for its support:

“I’m opposed to the way in which this President took us to war in Libya, and the fact he is keeping us there without Congressional authorization and support. But now that the President has committed American troops and put them in harm’s way, he must clearly define victory and achieve it with certainty.

If we fail in Libya, it will be another instance where President Obama’s foreign policy missteps endanger America by making us less trusted by our allies and less feared by our enemies around the world. If President Obama isn’t willing to define the mission, what victory looks like, or how we are going to achieve it, then he needs to pull our military out as soon as possible…Obama needs to clearly define victory…I don’t think he is willing to do that.”

Gotta go with Hasner on this one… Marco is showning his Neo-Con stripes.

Adam Hasner proves he too is a GOP good ole boy insider. He trashes Obama on Lybia, but does not pound on Marco Rubio for endorsing Obama’s illegal effort to over throw Kaddaffi and establish Iran’s Muslim Brotherhood. He, like all the republicans in the race acknowledges only the GOP Club Members. There are and will be other candidates in the race who will continue to be ignored. The 2 Party Rule of Government is not Constitutional and yet he has to be loyal to the GOP stronghold of the political process, and not the Constitution, the People and the future survival of the country. The Law of the Land in the US Constitution is Open Primaries.

Javier Manjarres, please bring this comment to Senator Adam Hasner so he will be awear of his violation to the oath he seeks to make ? I am avilable to correct his distorted sight the GOP Blinders produce.

A political cop out, Hasner is covering for the Repub Establishment and future Repub Presidents who want to go to war.
It takes Congressional Authority and Hasner is giving away Congressional and really OUR power to control government.
McCalister would probably also “support the troops” ,although there are no troops in Lybia,
    and 2 Wrongs don’t make a Right.
You either have Constitutional Government or you don’t. We Don’t……. and most likely will not when the “best” of the “conservatives” sway in the wind of expediency. We have a government of severely flawed men,not law.

Hasner is so good at playing to peoples passions. Trouble is he has no substance. What gaul to call Mike Haridopolos and George LeMieux establishment candidates. What has he been doimg most of his adult life running for and getting elected to office? Hey Adam just because you termed out last year does not make you a berand new peoples candidate. Your one of them Hasner. God he makes me ill how he now has flipped on everything he supported in Tallahassee just to get elected. How said is that. two words RON RUSHING!

  5. Sandman says:

You posters above are idiots. What has Hasner flip flopped on? Site your sources or stfu.

I love it how people expect Rubio to be on their side of issues on every single thing. Is he wrong on Libya, maybe so. Would you rather have a freaking liberal in his seat instead? How about that moron RINO Crist instead? If a politician votes more than 90% of the time on your side of the issues, them he’s probably your candidate.

If Rubio took the wrong stand on Libya is it Hasner’s job to call him out? The issue can stand on it’s own merit. Hasner only needs to say where he would stand on the issue. It’s morons like you posters above that gave us a devote marxist in the white house.

Well, well –do I see a trend? Candidates starting to lean slightly toward the Constitution side of issues. Of course they aren’t comming out and saying the C word but they are trending.

Its a good thing for the seekers of office to come out against each other on issues and for them to call it like they see it– Hasner does that–gives us a choice. The crux of the situation then becomes “who do you believe”

Mike H rode the bus with one of the group of “94″ on his bid for the governers mansion–hardly a “not part of the establishment” credential.

LeMieux, IMHO would prefer not to campaign– he’d rather that the “fix be in” so he can step into the job alla “Charley the RINO”.

Then there is Marco “the climber” dedicating himself anew to the uberinsiders (McCain and the “Lieber”) of the bankers for bankers club with his “solidarity under Obama” position paper. Don’t be fooled-Marco is still campaining.

Of course the thinking voter is way ahead of this cabal (as is usually the case) with the nod going to the one who can most closely mirror the voters thoughts about the issues-either with facts or with lies. Hence back to the first line of this comment.

Hasner is such a phony. HE IS AN ESTABLISHMENT POLITICIAN, HIMSELF. I heard him speak last week. This dude sounds so desperate. I am convinced he will say or do anything it takes to get a vote. Showing a few films on Islam, hardly makes him an authority on war. My college son is more knowledgable about foreign policy than Hasner.
