The controversial Sunrail program is back on track after Florida Governor Rick Scott signed off on the program only after the all the necessary requirements by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) were met.
Scott states that the rail program will be funded by “local money” in contrast to High Speed Rail, which was to be funded with federal money. Scott also says that the project that is being funded by the local communities, in which the rail service will affect, and has garnered the support of past Governors Charlie Crist and Jeb Bush.
Governor Scott goes on to say that his job is to keep the people responsible for this program fully accountable.
On an entirely different note, Governor Scott was more than happy to comment about becoming a Grandfather for the very first time. Congratulations Governor Scott, I am looking forward to hearing your grandkids call you ‘Grandpa’. Oh did I mention that his daughter is expecting a boy?
