The Republican Party of Florida and its Chairman David Bitner hosted the latest tour stop of the widely popular ‘Greatest Generation Tour’ honoring World War II Veterans in Orlando, Florida over the weekend. Chairman Bitner’s idea of honoring World War II Veterans with events around the state has been a great success and has been embraced by all political parties- it’s a very fitting tribute to the remaining veterans of World War II, a demographic that unfortunately is dying off at a rate of 1000 per day.
The event showcased a swing band playing popular World War II era music and volunteers dressed in WWII military garb who disaplyed weapons, tools, and other items used during the war.
In attendance at the event was Congressman Daniel Webster, State Representative Scott Plakon, U.S. Senate candidate Mike McCalister, and Congressional candidate Karen Harrington.
The Greatest Generation Tour has a couple of stops left- one in The Villages, and the last one in Miami, Florida.

Javier,
I am so proud that you gave exposure to the WWll Veterans!
Thank you so much for attending the event.
Hope to get a chance to talk to you more one day.
Thanks again,
Gary Delatorre
REC Chairman Hardee County
Wow! I can’t believe Adam Hasner wasn’t there campaigning for Senate, handing out his cards and taking photos with the Vets, and leaving before the recognition ceremony; just like he did at the Sarasota WWII RPOF Event.
