The irony of Mr. Davidson’s statement is that Perry, Bachman, and Romney are all stronger supporters of Israel that Obama and Wasserman-Schultz.
Mr. Davidson displays a horrible misunderstanding of Christianity and Christian’s views of Israel and Jews. While fundamentalist Christians may not see Jews as being “saved” in the sense that they see themselves, I’ve never known any credible Christian who didn’t adamantly support their freedom to practice Judaism. And amongst Christian sects, Mormons are hyper-supportive of Israel.
I hope that Mr. Davidson will find it in his heart to understand that real Christians feel a certain kinship to Jews and that Israel has no stronger support in all the world than amongst Christians in the U.S.

How does Israel trust any agreement (“bilateral talks” according to the congresswoman) with the Palestinians when we know their intention and their record of breaking agreements in the past?
The Israeli Duputy Minister has no choice but to speak kindly of America. Israel is small and w/out America they will be wiped off the face of the earth. But what is so sad, is that American Jews (who saw our President snub and disrespect Netanyahu, and saw Netanyahu clearly, in a factual and respectful manner, address and rebut that which our President implied by his actions), could actually believe that all is well between America and Israel at this time in our history. In my opinion, when our President says we must negotiate and compropmise, what I think he really means is that Israel must compromise and make the sacrifices.
This Wasserman-Schultz woman is not stupid. She knew exactly what happened yet she stood there and acted as if she thinks everything was fine (while her defense of Obama’s actions with Netanyahu implies differently)… She and the many others like her, who can stand there and look you right in the eye as if they’re completely honest, are frightening. She may believe her actions are supportive of Israel, but I am in complete disagreement with her, and I believe she and like leaders will bring about the demise of Israel.
I’m sorry but I am sick of politicians promising to protect Israel with the blood of America’s children or for that matter copying it’s medieval policies such as the use of torture or the concept of a religious state. Many of our recent international problems result from the influence of the Israeli lobby in Washington.
Besides, we couldn’t stop the USSR or China from developing Nuclear weapons and we can’t stop Iran. The only two countries that gave up their nuclear programs under pressure from the US were Iraq and Libya. Having rewarded them by overthrowing their governments, you can bet North Korea and Iran aren’t going to risk giving up theirs. It is perfectly clear to both of them that they need a nuclear deterrent to prevent an invasion from the US.
There is nothing “conservative” about our militaristic foreign policy nor do we have any business supporting a state founded on religious bigotry and ethnic cleansing. We are mostly Christians, not Jews so let us remember Christ’s advice on the subject: “Those that live by the sword, die by the sword”.
I am not Jewish, and I do not live in South Florida, but I am hearing mix signals on what the United States position should be regarding Israel. Are we afraid in this Country to defend the position of one of our greatest allies to speak and send a clear message to the rest of the world, that we support their safety and security? Israel shows their weakness not only to their people, but to the United States when their Deputy Prime Minister supports this administration policies. Wasserman-Shultz talks out both sides of her mouth when defending Israel. In the end, Israel and the Obama administration will have no one to blame but themselves if Israel is blown off the face of this earth.
We must compromise? I don’t know about you, but I’m as sick of hearing that statement as I am hearing about “shared sacrifice”.
