Businesswoman Karen Diebel has announced that she is making another run for Congress, expressing her intention to run for one of the two congressional seats that Florida will pick up after reapportionment next year. Diebel previously ran for Congress in 2010 and fell short to no Congresswoman Sandy Adams in the Republican primary. I was able to catch up with the mother of three in Orlando at the Florida Family Policy council event this past weekend headlined by Congresswoman and Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann.
Diebel was able to raise $100K in the last election reporting cycle, not bad for someone running for a yet-to-be geographically determined seat that is probably going to be drawn in somewhere in the vicinity of the I-4 corridor of Florida. Among Diebel’s supporters and donors is rising Republican Congressional star Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, who donated $1000 to her campaign, as well as Congressman Spencer Bachus, who’s PAC donated $2500 to her campaign.
Diebel said that had she been elected to Congress, she would not have supported raising the debt ceiling and she reiterated her support for a balanced budget amendment to the U.S. Constitution. She is playing it smart by announcing early and kicking her fundraising into gear before the final lines are drawn. This aggressive move by Diebel could make her the favorite to win once the redistricting dust settles, if and when anyone decides to primary her.

I’m glad to see Karen Diebel getting her campaign off to a good start. I supported her in her Congressional race last year and while I don’t have any problem with Sandy Adams, I think it would be good to send Diebel up to DC too.
How nice it would truly be to keep pouring on fiscally responsible House members until a plain majority is reached of “extremist” budget balancers and force this out of control USGovt to live within it’s means. We might finally get a Balanced Budget Amendment. US could probably recover its role as a creditor nation in 15-20 years if it could somehow cut out corrupt “official theft” from its treasury and also the legion of entitlement parasites. Grow the economy with reasonable taxation and watch in 2-4 years as the revenue rolls in. Pay off China and limit its investment in US. Go Karen…
The More the Merrier! Too bad there aren’t more men willing to stand up and run for office as conservative constitutionalists. But I Trust these Women and am willing to support their efforts to save our country from the rabid socialist democrats and progressive rinos.

Karen, You are the best! Perhaps you could challenge Dan Webster for voting with Boehner and against the tea party.
