The final results from the special election held in New York’s uber-liberal 9th Congressional District could be both an ominous sign and a political tide that may roll over the Democrat Party in Florida in 2012. NY-9 was considered one of the “safest” congressional districts that Democrats never thought they would lose. But with greater numbers of traditional Democrats becoming increasingly hostile towards President Obama’s toxic agenda and his mistreatment of Israel, this 40% Jewish district has shifted Republican. Suffice to say, the Republican Party is positively giddy over the results and smells blood in the waters of other once “safe” congressional districts- especially those in Florida.
“The results of New York 9 send a message for all incumbents, but especially Democrats who live in the delusion that their reelection is certain. NY-9 implies that even some of Florida’s most traditionally Democrat districts understand a principled-Republican message of economic prosperity through less government and more freedom.”-Brian Hughes, RPOF Communications Director
All eyes will be on Florida in next year’s Presidential election, one could say that it will be the proverbial Mount Megiddo where political Armageddon will take place in November 2012. Could the once supposedly “safe” Democrat Congressional seats in Florida now be in play? The most high-profile “safe” seat is in Congressional District 20, held by DNC Chair and Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
Wasserman-Schultz spun the NY-9 defeat rather incredulously, stating that it was a “tough district” for Democrats to win even though it was Warren Harding who was President when Republicans last held the seat in 1923. But Debbie’s real problem is that NY-9 was a complete rebuke of Obama’s policies, and make no mistake about it- Debbie, as DNC Chairwoman, is married (figuratively) to the President and his policies. The deal breaker for many Jews which set off alarm bells may have been when Obama stated that Israel should return to its indefensible 1967 border lines as a precondition for future peace negotiations with the Palestinians. As President Obama’s hand-picked DNC Chairwoman, Debbie is in a major bind- her inability and refusal to separate herself from the President’s failed and offensive policies could ultimately send her packing from Congress- a situation she might not have been in had she not accepted the appointment of DNC Chairwoman.
Wasserman-Schultz and President Obama are hemorrhaging considerable Jewish support in Florida, and let’s not forget that the ties are strong between New York’s Jewish population and South Florida’s. Republican Karen Harrington is running against Wasserman-Schultz in FL-20, and she’s scored numerous early endorsements along with what could be a respectable quarter-ending campaign fundraising report. Check out the Harrington campaign’s latest “money bomb” pitch at her “www.firedebbie.com” website.

LOL…debbie is just quaking in her pumps!! I’m betting SHEE is seeing the writing on the wall..and it spells GOODBYE to her!! hey, hey…GOOOD BYYYEEE, debbie!!
GOOD RIDDANCE TO HER. SHE’LL BE TOAST NEXT YEAR
OF COURSE THE DEMOCRAT-SOCIALISTS WILL LOSTE FLORIDA!
The Marxist Obama and the Democrat-socialists have NO chance of carrying Florida next year, none, zero! Rick Perry and Marco Rubio will sweep the state (and nation) in a landslide greater than 1980 when we dumped poor old clueless Jimmy Carter. That this state went for Obama last time was a fluke; brain dead moderates voted to “give the black guy a chance.” Damned shame that our first black president is also, with the possible exception of James Buchanan who let the Union fall apart in 1861, our WORST.
We will also elect a CONSERVATIVE Republican to the senate seat now held by Bill “‘moderate’ in Florida, leftist in Washington” Nelson. Notice I mentioned a “conservative” Republican. Sorry George “Crist clone” LeMieux, you don’t qualify.
Who knows? With a really strong effort, we might even be able to replace Debbie “Blabbermouth” Schultz. Just watch the Obamanistas continue to sell out Israel. Jews are disoverring that they won’t get struck down by lightning for voting Republican.
It should be … the Jewish community should be as much/MORE outraged than the rest of us. I pray they don’t “forget” all that Obama and the Dems have said and done AGAINST ISRAEL.
AND AMERICA!
Move over Debbie here comes Karen Harrington!

I just hope all those people that voted for Obama has heard the wakeup call. I didn’t vote him the first time and won’t vote for him next time. I support Israel, they are the only true friend we have the other so call friends just use us for what they can get. I love my country and it breaks my heart to see these idiots trying to bring it down.
You folks are such idiots
Rich,
the dear leader has presided over;
a) unemployment at 9% and above for over two years
b) downgrade of our credit rating
c) deficit spending of over a TRILLION dollars per year
d) ignoring our allies and sucking up to our enemies
e) take over of health care
f) union pandering while pocketing their political contributions
There is a lot more.
Most of us recognize his incompetence but, it takes someone “Special” to ignore it.
Rich – it’s ok to call us names when you have no other way to debate.
we do not care.
What the heck is the Asian dating site doing advertising on this blog? I’m disappointed to say the least.
LOL! We cannot control Google ads!
I concur with most of your remarks, however, we better not get too over-confident. The election is still 14 months away and a lot can happen. Some say that Sarah can’t be elected, and even some conservative Republicans are taking whacks at her, but I believe she will set the race on fire if she will run. But she needs to make a move soon before lots of people are committed to supporting someone else. How about her as President and Rick Perry as Vice-President. That is a ticket I could support and campaign for. Marco Rubio is another good prospect for VP but it may be too early in his career to try to make such a jump. I think he is wise to wait until 2016 and get better name recognition.
The NY-9 special election helps Joe Kaufman big-time!
DWS will have her hands full if Kaufman wins the primary.
Joe Kaufman? That guy is a nut! Harrington is 10 times better of a candidate! I can’t wait to see how much money he raises compared to Karen?!
WOW! I was saying positive things about Kaufman, nothing negative about Harrington. Why do Harrington supporters always throw mud on this website? Go GOP candidates, let’s oust DWS!
If you have not heard the democratic party spin on this election, it is well worth listening to…………..took someone really warped to come up with something so outlandish to make themselves look vindicated over how this went. Unreal.
