It’s now official, Congressman Connie Mack is running for the U.S. Senate in Florida. Mack made his formal announcement this evening on Fox News’ Hannity show. It was fitting that Mack did the deed on Hannity’s show, as Sean had already endorsed Mack’s candidacy a couple of weeks back during a trip to Florida. When Mack signaled his forthcoming bid, former Senator George LeMieux, who is also running for the Senate seat, launched a preemptive attack against Mack. Mack’s entrance into the race will further split the Republican vote and make it increasingly difficult for any of the other candidates to establish a firm base of support needed to prevail in the Republican primary.
This race is likely to become a brawl in short order, so stay tuned to the Shark Tank for all of the political chum that is destined to be churned out over the next nine months.

Connie Mack IV is a RINO from the Crist wing of the party. An intellectually shallow political opportunist attempting it rise and capitlize on the Name ID of his father. If Mack IV were entering the primary with his undistinguished political record as Joe Smith, he would be polling at the very bottom.
Connie Mack IV, just last year, ( so this is not a “youthful indiscretion”) endorsed our Do-Nothing RINO governor, Charlie Crist, over proven conservative, Marco Rubio for the U.S. Senate race. Even after Crist campaigned for and hugged Obama publicly for his almost 1 trillion taxoayer funded stimulus to nowhere. How’s that for a fiscal conservative? How do you endorse Crist after watching Crist wreck the party for 4 years and raid the RPOF funds as your personal ATM in your quest for future office? Mack IV did. Connie Mack IV has an indenfensible moral and fiscally irresponsible record supporting taxpayer funded Human Embryo research (destruction) 4X’s; which had he done his homework would know has never yielded a single success. Mack IV even voted to over ride Presdient Bush’s veto of this.
