Romney Campaign Welcomes Obama to Florida

by Javier Manjarres

Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign has rolled out the proverbial red carpet for President Barack Obama’s visit to Disney World with the release of “Welcome to Florida,” the campaign’s latest video.  The one minute and fifteen second video reminds Barack Obama about what he’d like the rest of the country to forget- the preceding three years of his Presidency and the wreckage left in its wake.

Obama will be visiting Magic Kingdom on Thursday to give yet another speech on a subject that he knows a lot about- tourism- fresh off his rejection of the Keystone XL Pipeline that would have created over 100,000 U.S. jobs.

A pretty powerful clip, check it out.

  1. No doubt it is a great ad. But the tax trroubles for Romney are getting worse. ABC is reporting Romney has several offshore accounts set up in the Cayman Islands.

No wonder why Mitt stuttered when asked in the debate about tax returns. I certainly don’t fault Mitt for paying 15% on cap gains because he already paid taxes on the money he invests, but this Cayman thing could get ugly. This is why we need to fully vette our cnadidates folks so this stuff doesn’t pop up in Sept and Oct.

    • Who cares? A lot of people and corporations have Cayman Islands accounts. It is neither illegal or immoral – unless you do not report your income from those accounts when you file your taxes – and there is no proof or suggestion that Romney has not reported it.

I realize that as an economic lightweight, you have no idea why people diversify their holdings with offshore accounts – but tax evasion is very low on the list.

This issue is sensational only to the truly ignorant – for the rest of us, it only gives Romney more credibility!

      • Indeed us economic lightweights do not relate to people with offshore tax havens in the Cayman Islands, but I’m sure 10 out of 10 vulture capitalist millionaires do think it gives a lot a credibility to the candidate.

Mr. Romney, do you intend on releasing your tax returns? Maybe…(booooooooo) crowd booing. Well, IIIIIII, mi mi mi mi might, release them in ma ma ma ma ma ma ma maybe April. (that’s Mitt stuttering all over himself) asswipe.

        • Now there you go again…your argument flounders so you resort to vile name calling. Typical liberal!

          • I’m a liberal? Who is the one supporting the most liberal Republican in field here? If you don’t like to be insulted I suggest you don’t do it first. Now whose the poor widdle lightweight?

  2. By the time the Florida primary is over, less than 100 delegates out of over 2,200 for the National republican Convention will have been chosen. Does it seem right to annoint a nominee after only 4 primaries in 4 states when 46 states have yet to have a voice and the majority of Republican voters have yet to be given a chance to vote? It takes over 1,100 delegates to win the Republican nomination, so I think it’s a little early to pronounce someone the eventually nominee. Let’s let the vetting process proceed for awhile longer to be sure we select the right person to challenge Obama.

    • Right you are Bob… I especially am wary of the Obama media choosing our WINNER…. REALLY? Bull $hit Mittens is NOT the only one that can beat Obama… his stuttering whenever he gets a pointed question is enough for Obama to BURY Mittens in a debate… Newt or Santorum… have a better chance than Mittens or the crazy Doctor.

      • If we’re only talking about who can debate the best – then it’s Newt by a continent. But that is not the only factor that people will be voting on – it’s a huge influence factor, but it’s not everything.

Most people are going to look for who they trust to be the best executive in the White House. Who is going to represent us best internationally? Who is going to be able to work best with Congress (and that includes restoring effective bi-partisanship)? Who has the discipline to keep our vital secrets? Who has the discipline to develop a plan and then carry it out? Who knows how to negotiate in the best interests of those they represent?

When you start asking the right questions, it all leads to Romney.

  3. Mike Hathaway: excellent points re financial literacy and executive ability. :)
