Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul spoke at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in Charleston, South Carolina, to about 50-60 attendees. Noticeably absent at his speech were the usual throngs of supporters that tend to follow the congressman’s every move. The one constant about the Ron Paul campaign is his support base. But is his support starting to dwindle? Paul is badly trailing the rest of the Republican field, and the fact that so very few people came out to support him in Charleston could mean that his support is beginning to lean out.

What a terrible article. You are baised as your writing and picture indicate. Mr. Paul is second nationally according to reuters/gallop/drudge/cnn/fox. Additionally his campaign continues to be the ONLY other CANDIDATE who is consitently top tier.
Enough with your uncited drivel. Why do you hate a man who fights so hard to protect individual liberties?
For shame.
Ron Paul 2012 Please
Right on! You said it!
couldn’t agree more!
Good old Javier! He knows Ron Paul is the only “candidate” running for Presidents. The rest are frauds and hucksters. Too bad voters are not informed. Ron Paul is the ONLY one who will adhere to the Constitution. People, do some homework and stop voting on how flashy sounding various speakers can be. That is their ONLY ability. Con artists make a living with this talent.
Yeah, except that it cost around $100 to attend this event. Newt bailed on it because of super-low attendance and I haven’t heard that any other candidates showed up. I think you will continue to see growing numbers of RP supporters at his rallies. Ron Paul’s campaign has raised $1.8M since last weekend from individual contributors ronpaul2012.com , and polls show him gaining in SC as the primary nears. This national map keeps growing increasingly as well http://voteronpaul.us/
Santorum has over double and I am far from being a Santorum supporter.
For all the Paul followers the exact reason that Paul has been re-elected in his most heavy union district in TX (outside of Beaumont/Port Arthur) is that he brings home the bacon by the truckload.
He not only brings home the bacon, he brings it home for numerous projects which solely and directly benefit Corporatist Multi-national companies.
This website should caveat each story with “We don’t like Ron Paul”, or “Imperialism is good for the world, Islam isn’t.”
But that won’t happen, honesty is what Ron Paul has, most folks just say they want virtue and integrity, but can’t handle it when the time comes.
Ron Paul is an anti semite and a loon. And his paulbots are a bunch of friendless losers.
And you are a useful idiot! that does not know any better but to vote for one of the socialists being picked for you.
And you, sir, haven’t done much reading about the man. You only spout what you hear other ill-informed people spouting.
It was not my intention to doubt that, the Doctrines of the Illuminati, and principles of Jacobinism had not spread in the United States. On the contrary, no one is more truly satisfied of this fact than I am. ~ George Washington
So I guess that makes George Washington a conspiracy theorist!
Blind fools are the best useful idiots for those who seek to deprive them of their property.
I love those who “name call” either Ron Paul or his supporters. They are far less uninformed or “useful idiots” than those have bitten the artificial bait of Romney, Gingrich and Santorum. These guys are not Republicans! Have you read the GOP platform and compare that to their records?
It is very, very clear, even in the debates that there is only one candidate that is giving it to us straight and has the track record of accurately predicting 9/11 and the housing bubble bursting. Ron Paul! And still yet, NON-Paul supporters can’t throw the hook from their mouth!
I will be glad to provide factual information to those who have an open mind for the truth. But no others because a mind only works as a parachute if it is open. The American voter had a chance to vote for Paul in 2008 but you blew it! How much better off we would be now if Paul had been elected. McCain is a loser and collectivist and not a man who obeys his oath! I would never want his endorsement!
The Republican Party HAS lost its way just as Ron Paul has said. I’ve been active in the party for 35 years and I can tell you straight up that there are tons of big government apologists who only give lip service to supporting the Constitution. If you want the GOP to truly be the party of limited government and the Constitution then you better get in there and “occupy” your position of influence and see for yourself!
Please, call me names! Call me whatever! You will however never be able to accurately claim I am blind or a fool.
Please for the love of liberty, freedom, security and prosperity, go to http://www.ronpaul2012.com and read his “Issues” papers and listen to the many Youtube videos regarding his record. Vote for Ron Paul today! Your liberty is at stake friends!
“friendless losers”…says the man posting on a forum….
I agree…I wonder why his “fans” don’t do their “research” and see the undeniable truth about Paul. Endorsed by David Duke and Stormfront, takes money from white supremacist groups and doesn’t return it even when he KNOWS about it…their is so much dirt on Paul that they refuse to consider, which doesn’t say a lot about their level of intelligence.
are you aware that the KKK came out and endorsed Reagan when he ran?
Yes, and Reagan repudiated them. Paul accepts them.
Dr. Paul does not accept or endorse the KKK. If you’re going to make that kind of an accusation you must prove it. Provide some link to documentation. If it is true it will be an easy thing to do.
Any excuse to bash your candidate’s opponents can be found very easily! But if that’s all you got, that’s pretty piss poor! Myopic citizens like yourself are difficult to get to see the light of truth. I have not spent the last 35 years of my life defending the freedoms of my countrymen only to remain silent when confronted by ignorant and confused people. You may claim to be an American citizen but no true American refuses to be instructed by the truth. You seem all too willing to close your mind to knowledge. Wisdom comes with knowledge. Security comes from knowledge. Those who learn nothing from history are doomed to repeat it.
Endorsements are a tricky thing but in no way should they be the basis upon your support or denial of support to a candidate. Take a list of endorsers for any candidate, compare the public statements and writings to those of the candidate and accept only those parts that are found in agreement. That’s a fair approach but is NOT the whole story.
So let me ask you! Do you support all of the Constitution or just those parts that YOU want? If I promise to do something for you and everyone knows I promised to do it, then I fail for any reason, does it affect in your mind what you think of me? It damn well should! I may ask forgiveness and mend my ways but to willfully spit in your face and renege continually on my promise should cause you never to trust me again. Do things like this make sense to you or do you “waive” compliance when it comes to the highest Oath in the Land?
Watch this and then tell me you knew everything in it! I assure you, you will not! I will accept a thank you later.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlZrVomkf3E
this is loony, this youtube vid ODIGO 911. it’s jerusalem post. also youtube, NYPD POLICE TRANSMISSION MURAL VAN MOSSAD. this jewel proves how who did 911. watch it…come on people…watch these vids…then watch the director of the US ARMY WAR COLLEGE SAY THE MILITARY BRASS KNOWS ISRAEL DID 911 on press tv interview…..i guess jewish Dr. Alan Sabrosky is antisemite too.
Oh I doubt it is dwindling…Ron Paul supporters absolutely know they are few….but we know we are the backbone of this nation
I think it’s also important to stress that this was a conference, not a “Ron Paul Event” as the title suggests. A conference that cost around $100 to attend.
The neocons only with this were true, this way they would then slip in their socialist candidate. Sorry, but Ron Paul supporters are growing! There has been some scheduling confusion these past few days because things are moving fast. But, really, to try to assign such an idiotic reason for this is beyond dumb! Ron Paul supporters are as consistent as Ron Paul himself! We are not going away. In fact, the GOP CANNOT WIN without Ron Paul supporters, so put that in your pipe and smoke it. And, the way things are looking, if Ron Paul doesn’t win the nomination, then Obama will win.
So true! If the GOP continues to disenfranchise the RP supporters, they have no chance at a victory against Obama. If the GOP grants me another status-quo candidate, I will write in Ron Paul.
The cost of a day pass to the conference is/was $45 NOT $100… the kids that support Ron Paul probably spent their $45 for the debate last night, or the trip to Myrtle Beach Monday (to enter a lottery for a free ticket).. and so had no money left for another speech… Ron Paul never says anything new, so no big deal if they miss a speech or 2 or 12.
More nonsense no mention of the 1000 supporters that showed up to hear him
Speak not the CNN poll with he and Romney tied with Obama
This is a man that has been discredited by the media from the beginning
And yet still pulls 20 percent
His message is getting out dispite media blackout
And so it’s people like this author that need to step up the belittling and name calling
Remember THE TRUTH WILL PREVAIL
We ALL know the TRUTH about online polls where Paul is concerned. Save your breath…we all know they are spammed, swarmed, and inflated by his fans. Online polls are totally USELESS because of these tactics. Go have a look at a reliable poll like Rassmussen…those tell the TRUTH.
Ah, my mistake Elaine. I was comparing the price to other conferences throughout the country. Thanks for the correct details.
I am not an official Ron Paul supporter. I actually don’t know who I will be voting for. But I really get tired of all types of media acting like the American voters can’t think for themselves. I am tired of the slant put on things and I am tired of not being able to hear what Dr. Paul believes because he isn’t one of the Republican darlings. BTW the only reason I clicked on this link and read this article was because I just heard on Fox News this morning that Ron Paul was beating Santorum in the polls in South Carolina right now despite his apparent win in Iowa. I wondered how he could be in third place right now and his support be dwindling. Then we hear that the military have given more to his campaign than to all the others combined but we also hear that he isn’t doing well in South Carolina because of all the military bases there. Give me a break. We are not idiots. Just report the unbiased facts and let us make up our own minds. Ron Paul has done really poorly in the debates until last night in my opinion. Someone finally coached him a little and he slowed down and let us understand what he was saying…. Thanks
Susan – this is a good video I used to better understand Ron Paul’s ideas. I must warn you, it’s long. It’s also from his 2007 campaign and starts with 10 minutes of Iraq war talk. However, there was a lot of helpful information in hearing him speak at such detail and also helps understand his ‘humanity’, just his demeanor (unlike the ‘kook’ or ‘racist’ that most politicos make him out to be). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCM_wQy4YVg
What’s funny (or sad that no one listens to him) is that he mentions the housing-bubble collapse, and this is the time right before that happened.
Ron Paul SUCKS!!!
Must be recess at the local middle school, eh Sally?
All the media are dispickable, what they are doing to Ron Paul. We won’t forget their treason.

Guess he missed the throngs at the Charleston College event. People got to rest. This guy is simply boot-licking the neocon doormats at redstate.com who are STILL crying about Perry. Pathetic. So Erick Erickson, was God wrong about Perry? Fool.
And now the title of this article changes from “Ron Paul Event” to “Ron Paul Speech”. C’mon Javier. Why not change it to what it really was, “Southern Republican Leadership Conference”, and just say that it was poorly attended and only one candidate even showed up to speak at all. ? Instead, you try to bash RP with an incorrect article and drop it to the world on twitter.
I actually welcome legitimate arguments against RP’s ideas. I want to understand where people differ from my opinions – I had to do a lot of research of my own to finally understand RP’s philosophy and get behind it. However, this ‘politico’-bad-journalism is just no good for everyone. Just my opinion.
I guess this isn’t news worthy because it’s Newt at the same event. It’s called JOURNALISM – fair and balanced.

Gingrich cancels campaign event, poor attendance
The Associated Press
Posted: 01/20/2012 06:42:06 AM PST
CHARLESTON, S.C.—Newt Gingrich has cancelled a campaign appearance in South Carolina because of poor attendance.
The Republican presidential candidate was scheduled to speak to the Southern Republican Leadership on Friday. But a campaign spokesman told reporters that he would no longer be appearing due to poor attendance.
There were just a few dozen people in the audience at the College of Charleston’s arena, where the event was taking place. The conference has suffered from low attendance all week but Gingrich rival Rick Santorum went ahead and addressed the group on Thursday.
Gingrich’s spokesman said skipping the stop would give the former House speaker more time at his next scheduled event, a tour of a children’s hospital.
Ask the MESSOD, etc if they support Paul for Israel as they are FOR HIM, and our CIA
officials too so do your homework. 2002 warnings to congress ALL came true as the titanic keeps heading
for the iceberg, lets get off now before we have totally lost Sovereignty
to the UN’s takeover of the USA which is no longer stealth. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifJG_oFFDK0
If you value The Constitution, you will consider voting for Ron Paul. If not, this is the year we may lose it.
An honest journalist might have written something like….
Unlike Newt Gingrich, who decided to skip out on his commitment to this conference, GOP hopefuls Rick Santorum and Ron Paul spoke at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in Charleston despite the low audience turnout.

A: “Yes. In March 1993, I got an assistance program I could support: $1.6 billion in direct aid to help Russia stabilize. Although a public poll said that 75% of the American people were opposed to giving Russia more money, and we were already in a hard fight for the economic plan, I felt we had no choice but to press ahead. American had spent trillions of dollars in defense to win the Cold War; we couldn’t risk reversal over less that $2 billion and a bad poll. To the surprise of my staff, the congressional leaders, including the Republicans, agreed with me. At a meeting I convened to push the plan, Senator Joe Biden, the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, strongly endorsed the aid package. Newt Gingrich was passionately in favor of helping Russia, saying it was a “great defining moment” for American and we had to do the right thing. – Bill Clinton, 2004 (My Life, p. 506-507).
“Professor Gingrich hopefully will never be called upon to teach a course in the proper role of our federal government. His rare votes against bloated big government usually have been prompted by the partisan wrangling of the moment, not by any great respect for, or understanding of, the Constitution.” –James Toft of “Tax Reform Immediately” (TRIM)

The devotion and dedication of Ron Paul followers is commendable.
I believe, even if their numbers are negligible, they’ll stay the course with Paul.
For that reason, I cannot begin to factor them in to supporting anyone else who may emerge as the Republican standard-bearer. It seems to me that they are so focused on Paul that for any other candidate who could eliminate Obama they will be myopic.
For them, it’ll be Paul or nothing!
What they are doing in Republican Party politics is the question. Rep. Paul is a Libertarian and his followers are, too.
Republicans will have to be, by necessity, pragmatic. We need to win and we may not get all we wish to do so. Our mission ought to be to rid our government of Obama & Co.!
I don’t count on Paulists to contribute to such victory unless Paul is the main event.
It’s their way or the highway.
Take that to the bank!
The Republicans are becoming the useful idiots Alinky mentions because they do not realize that the Republican ideology has changed, they have moved so far to the left you cannot tell them apart from the Democrats. Ron Paul’s message of a limited constitutional government is something that the Republicans have forgotten about. That is why Ron Paul is picking up momentum and that is why his supporters will never pick another candidate. A vote for Newt or Romney or Santorum is a vote for a Republican Obama. No difference. So if the rinos and neocons keep insulting Dr. Paul and his supporters, they will be the ones to regret it when they finally wake up and realize that their GOP chosen candidates will do noting different. The GOP CANNOT WIN without us because we are growing more and more every day. Maybe they should read some of Dr. Pauls books and then they will see why it is important to return to our constitutional roots.

Here in South Carolina we don’t take kindly to candidates who coddle our enemies and who blame America in defense of their actions.Thankfully Paul has no chance of success in the Palmetto State.
And here in the United States, we don’t take kindly to ignorance of the larger picture or such simple ideas like cause and effect. Our educational system has completely failed and morals have tanked if people cannot do simple reasoning and only recite what is spoonfed to them.
It takes a good person to stand up and say we have done wrong and try to correct those wrongs so both parties can happily and peacefully move forward.
It takes an even stronger person to take the blame for something they did not do just for the sake of everyone else.
It takes a fool to build a web of lies to justify actions, thereby continues aggravating the problems, and then wonder why bad things keep happening.
Also, if South Carolina is so religious, what happened to loving thine enemies?
Thankfully, Romney, Gingrich, and Santorum have no chance of success against Obama when Paul loses the Palmetto state.
Yes, trollish. I’ll flag myself. but I don’t think I said anything very deniable.
South Carolina embraces big government, entitlements and the nanny state. Look at Linsey Graham, they think he is the cats meow. This guy is a socialist. Newt Gingrich is an immoral slob and Santorum is just as liberal as Newt. Quite frankly, they have no use for the constitution and that is why they support these socialist candidates. As long as big government is there for them, they care for nothing else.
We will see you in Tampa “hoss” ron paul 2012
Javier, you are writing / acting just like some of the other “Presstitutes” I see on TV. How much do they pay you every month to write those slanderous Ron Paul articles with that disinformation? If you cared to watch the Polls or the most recent debate last night, you would have known Ron Paul Won It hands down despite CNN’s attempt to limit his time. Dr. Paul’s support is growing by leaps and bounds. Finally, you must know that he is the Only One of the Candidates that will actually provide the kind of medicine we require to turn our Country’s Economy around and Restore Liberty & Freedom to the People by following The Constitution. All of the others Candidates are like Obama, just another wing of the same Party–The Big Government Party.

At this point tweeting and posting to Facebook is probably more effective than emailing the offending organizations.
Javier Manjarres looks like a homosexual pretty boy.
So you think I am pretty? Sounds very gay of you to state that. Thanks for the compliment
To respond to the quote in the storey:
“Paul is badly trailing the rest of the Republican field”
Really? Sounds like a talking point from the centrist, big government Republican establishment. Some inconvenient facts:
1. Paul is polling 3rd in South Carolina, beating Santorum.
2. Paul finished 2nd in New Hampshire, beating Santorum & Gingrich.
3. Paul finished 3rd in Iowa, beating Gingrich.
My bet is he will be in the race all the way to the convention, which means at some point this becomes a 2 candiate race. The question is, will it be Romney vs Paul or Gingrich vs Paul.
Stan, you are absolutely correct.
We are more libertarian than we are republican. Although, if you go back a number of years, libertarian and republican we’re not that much different. This libertarian flare up is a response to what the government is doing. Cause & effect… I’ll list a few caues:
Insane debts. Picking winners in the economy via policy (I’ll admit, Keynesian economics would be a great tool to understand/predict/help the economy IF it didn’t take money out of other industries via taxes or dilute the value of the dollar via inflation and printing money. Unfortunately, it does. Like quantum mechanics, probing it changes the system and may have unintended consequences), lobbying, regulations – not that I’m anti-environment. I’m pursuing a career in solar energy, but Obama has already destroyed the public perception of that with the influx of green money. Not to mention all the oil subsidies. If I get another phone call for up to some $30,000+ tax deductible donations to drill as a grad student, just… gah! But I digress. I’m quite frustrated.
Patriot Act. Homeland Security (which now monitors Tennessee highways?). TSA. NDAA. SOPA. PIPA. Loss of God-given rights & liberties. Wars – why do we spill our blood for other people’s problems? When we leave, it starts over in a new form. We’re effectively just volunteering to die instead of them while adding insane collateral damage because our military is a lot more sophisticated and destructive. Why are the tax payers responsible to pay for blowing up a bridge and then rebuilding it?
A lot of us Paulites are the ones with an open mind who dare ask questions, such as:
What happens if China stops lending us money?
What happens if we’re no longer the world reserve currency?
Why do we keep printing money?
Why is a good bank interest rate nowadays less than 1% when inflation (not the flawed government standard of calculating it) is much higher?
Why are prices going up everywhere?
Why are we so afraid of Iran getting a nuke (seriously. It wouldn’t be nearly as potent as what we’ve got. They have no way to deliver it to us, except via other countries that already have nukes. Also, they know that if they launch, Iran will turn into one giant sheet of glass. Self-preservation for them says don’t fire and cause retaliation, whether as the aggressor or defender)?
How would we feel if another country started bombing us to get at terrorists or their enemies of the state?
What defines a terrorist – having a stockpile of canned foods in anticipation of something potentially bad occurring? (sigh…)
What happened to all our rights as American citizens?
And if we have them, why is the government trying to completely remove them (HR 3166 and S. 1698 – but at least it hasn’t been going anywhere) by taking away our nationality? They defined the US mainland as a war zone and we’re fighting a “war” on terror, and terror is so broadly defined that many innocent, unaware civilians could be stripped of their nationality/rights if they are “inconvenient” to various agendas using BS reasons. I don’t like this well, we could/I could do it, but don’t worry, I promise I won’t garbage.
Why is it that when various sectors slip, the solution is always more government and more money, but things only hiccup upwards before accelerating in a worse direction?
Why does the government want control of every aspect of mine and everyone else’s life?
Why can’t government do what the founders envisioned and return the glory to this country?
Are officials elected to serve the government, or are they elected to serve the people?
Why is the above question relevant if the government is supposed to be for the people?
There are many, many more questions that need to be asked. Nobody (within the two main parties) is seriously addressing them except Ron Paul. Why do we have to be Republicans now? It’s the only way to get some credibility and spread the message. You can only be in the democrat or republican party if you want any serious amount of air time because how badly politics is rigged into the 2-party system. There is no choice but to hijack the party/return it closer to its original roots of peace and less government. I often hear people say he is too radical (although I find spending over a trillion dollars you don’t have as pretty radical – I mean eh… it’s just a trillion dollars – $1,000,000,000,000. What’s a few zeros?) and libertarian viewpoints could never work. I’m no history buff, but I think the US held predominantly libertarian beliefs with some awfully bad biases engraved in people’s minds and it worked out pretty well for the nation. As a lot of the biases are largely corrected, I can only see the US turning into something greater than it was at its greatest moments. Also, Ron Paul understands things don’t happen overnight and transitions must be done to gradually and painlessly change society for those who have been forced to depend on it.
Aside from semantics, we have a really tough time drawing a distinction between Obama, Romney, or Gingrich (Santorum is simple. a make-shift theocracy, and that spells lots of trouble abroad). Obama and Romney are funded by the same people and I suspect will result in mainly the same policies (so what are people trying to change, exactly? Just the D->R?). Gingrich, well, someone already pointed out his record above. He fits right in with the rest of them. We’re sick and tired of the status quo. Compromise shouldn’t be do I shoot myself in the left foot or the right foot. It’s simple. I’m not gonna fire the gun! End of story.
There should be no blind loyalty to a party. Only loyalty provided they earn it. The only blind loyalty one should have when it comes to politics is to oneself. People say we follow Paul blindly. I’d say we follow with our eyes wide open and proclaim what we see. We just happen to agree and are so overjoyed that there’s an honest, consistent, and intellectual politician with foresight out there actually running for POTUS. This isn’t about the republicans winning. This is about everyone winning (well, except those who’ve been wronging the masses).
So yes. The motto is our way or the highway – at least for me anyway. There is no compromise because we feel like we’re voting to allow compromise and discussion in the future. I will vote for him in the primary and write his name into the election regardless of what happens. I’ve started tallying members of congress on how they voted on liberty stripping bills so I know who to re-elect and who to try and kick out (from the .gov sites. Many sites disagree on voting records – they probably have hidden agendas, so go to the true source – lookup that thomas.gov thing. Unfortunately, the house roll calls are incredibly obnoxious to wade through and you’ll need a list of members by state to see what part you can influence). We will do just about everything we can to fight the system and enlighten others to these incredibly major issues. Honestly, issues like abortion don’t seem like that big of a deal if the government can pick you up off the street and send you away indefinitely because they think you might have an association with bad people. We feel that this country was founded on liberty, and we’re about to lose it, provided it’s not already gone. We feel like we have one last chance as a lot can change in four years. Heck, a lot has changed in 3…
We are incredibly devoted and dedicated. For our own sakes, we have no choice. It’s Ron Paul or bust. The sooner the GOP establishment figures that out and accepts it as set in stone, the better. After all, they can’t let Obama win again, but we see no major difference, so we have no problem handing the election over. If he ran as independent, we think he might actually win in a 3-way fight because there are so many average joes pissed off on both sides of the aisle. Anger, followed by hope(& change!) are probably the largest driving forces on getting the typical person active in politics and to the polls. Ron Paul capitalizes on both.
Check out his campaign site and do some youtube searches to see where and how he stands. There are some incredibly moving and exposing clips out there (although most is heavily pro-biased and may play on some emotions – it’s manipulative in the other direction, but I suppose you have to cancel out the negative manipulation somehow). Inform yourself and make your own opinions. Don’t let the media do it for you. And sorry if this was a “tad” over the top. I had a point that needed making
Just because I want to feel like a typical wasted space no content forum-spamming Paulbot…
Woo hoo! Ron Paul 2012!
Ron Paul is a RACIST/Homo fob/Israeli hater who knows nothing about foreign affairs! Plus he looks like a dweeb! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ron Paul is the only candidate worthy of votes and I would not vote for any of the other candidates under any scenario. They may criticize the UN, but only Ron Paul would get us out of that evil institution. The UN is set to establish an International Climate Court to tax us for our “Carbon Debt” (which the UN socialists tell us is in the Trillions of $$$). They are trying to take away our 2nd Amendment rights under the guise of their Small Arms Treaty. They seek to regulate and enforce a Cap & Trade (supported by both Gingrich and Romney). Their Agenda 21 seeks to regulate every aspect of human life. Now there is talk of a Global Currency. The others also support this endless policy of undeclared wars and nation building, and we are bankrupt already. There is no difference between the other candidates and Obama aside from skin color and rhetoric. If Ron Paul cannot be elected, the next best thing would be for the Theocons (the minions of the Neocons) to become so frustrated that it leads to civil war. I will no longer further delusions by voting for any more Neocon filth.
Paulbots are funny. They flock in to defend the indefenseable.
Maybe they care a little TOO much about smoking weed, and not enough about the inate hate of Jewish folks of the world that Paul exhibits.
At any rate, they’re of the opinion that if a room is full of them, then that must translate to a world full of them…all the while, that room is surrounded on all sides by REAL conservatives who abhor anyone running to the left of Obama.

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Newt Gingrich has cancelled a campaign appearance in South Carolina because of poor attendance.

At least Ron Paul honored his word and showed up. It is the GOP that are n ot drawing a crowd!
News flash: Paul supporters are the working class and $100 can feed a family for a while on that. To Romney over 300k “isn’t that much”.
I hope everyone reading this chain of comments realize that Ron Paul is a fake and a lie. If, heaven help us, he is chosen as the Republican candidate these fanatics that defend him to the end will be the ones running the country. They are always talking about liberties, but don’t give you the freedom to think on your own. They are a bunch of dictators.
Let me tell you who does not give the American people the freedom to think. It is the Main Stream Media. They black out Ron Paul every chance they get. They do not want the American people to know the truth. Looks like they have really did a number on you my friend. Keep drinking that KoolAid.
Dominique, you need serious help if you really believe as you state above. Either that or you might be just be from from Bizzaro world or even more likely just another Zombie Blogger. Please present some evidence to support your position. If you care to review the Ron Paul blogs and his record you would know that he is exactly opposite of a dictator–He is the Defender of Personal Freedom and The Constitution.
He doesnt need our support here & going to pep rallies. I’m voting for him even if he never makes another public appearance. The others are all clones. Globalists.
Paulution (noun.) the spam received in email, forum or FB posts resulting from having the nerve to say anything against Ron Paul within earshot of one of his followers.
Does Javier give a damn about the Constitution?
Javier just wants a strong military lleader who is corrupt as himself, kind of like the leaders in Colombia where he’s from. He doesn’t give a DAMN about the Constitution.

About time, it was the fringe not true Republicans or Conservatives backing him.
And this is the exact same conference that Newt Gingrich cancelled due to poor turn out.
I was at the srlc and ron paul came there from a talk at the college of charleston with over 1000 in attendance. At the srlc ron had more in attendance than Newt. By the way, Newt canceled HIS appearance due to lack of attendance. Too bad you did not get a photo of that. His bus drove away from the event. Santorum also spoke with about 20 Citadel cadets behind him. He also had poor attendance. The fact is that there was extremely poor attendance at all the srlc event at the TD Arena in Charleston.
FYI. Ron Paul had a standing room only in a ballroom in Myrtle Beach just a week earlier when our stste senatoe, Tom davis endoesed him. I was at that event also. Please do not mislead folks wih less than the full story.
Why don’t you hang around until the general election and see how much it has leaned out.
The GOP is toast. They can not win without the RP supporters. This is a movement which is growing each day. If I have to I will take Obama and hope for a real change in 2016 after the GOP has learned its lesson. Either that or I can go eight more years with the status quo. No way am I going to take that route. Either way is going to be bad but I am going to take the four year route. If he GOP does not fall in line they will never win another election.
Hey now all of you that hate me just because I am a lunatic with fake eyebrows. You have got to show up at my events or the public may start to think the 4000 followers I have, have given up on me & my girly voice.
if you think ron paul is a racist then youtube proof that ron paul is not a racist!
