Javier, why weren’t you able to nail Khan and Spencer down to a time, forum and date for a good robust debate? I’ve been following this topic over the months on Frontpagemag and on other sites.
It seems, just prior to 9/11 jihad-terror attacks in New York and Washington, Suhail Khan was caught on tape speaking at a Muslim Brotherhood event, praying to Allah that good Muslims are willing to die for the sake of Allah.
Wasn’t Khan’s father a Muslim Brotherhood activist? Bush courted these jihadists and I voted for Bush in 2000; sadly. University of South Fla. jihadist Professor Sami Al-Arian boasted he delivered the Muslim vote for Bush here in Fla. Al-Arian met Bush at a campaign event. Google Bush and Al-Arian.
I think Al-Arian was invited to the Bush White House. Now Obama is courting Muslim Brotherhood activists here in the U.S., in Egypt, etc. MB is dedicated to destroying America’s miserable house from within at the hands of the (Suhail Kahn and his fellow) believers.
Why treat this thing so lightly?
After the 9/11 attacks Suhail Kahn acknowledged his prayer for death for the sake of Allah was not appropriate. Do you think?
javier comes across as an @ssclown manboy with the commentary above … more interested in chatting up some girl (who was probably LOOKING for an escape or she wouldn’t have gone anywhere – that’s the way it goes, dude) than understanding the real dynamics of this situation and how spencer only approached khan AFTER khan maligned spencer the day before in front of his audience at CPAC. it’s good you captured the video, but man up and do some research dude.
you come across as most of the ig’nant floridians i’ve had the displeasure of encoutering since i’ve had the misfortune of arriving in this state (temporarily) about a month ago. some great voter turnout, too. *sarcasm* and floridians selected smarmy romney…good God…they are swayed by TV and the media…sheeple. seems this state is full of hicks or wannabe ganstas, with a few notable exceptions like allen west. either way … not impressed … and this is just further proof that florida sucks ass.
Florida has a lot of Northern transplants you idiot! How much longer are you going to be here? Not much longer I hope. U suck ass!

Then get out then, go back to wherever you came from.
“Bad plastic surgery” And Suhail Khan is Brad Pitt, right? This is ridiculous.
Try this: http://vimeo.com/18205788
I got it from P. Geller’s site.
In this video http://vimeo.com/18205732 Suhail Kahn begins reading from the Qur’an approximately 2:45 minutes into the program:
Kahn: “American Muslims are in need of protection from oppression….”
Approx. 5:00 minutes, “American Muslims are in need of help from persecution…”
Approx. 6:10 minutes, Kahn complains that alleged Muslim terrorists are being held in detention without Federal charges, bail, etc.
At about 7 minutes, Suhail Kahn says: “This is the mark of a Muslim. The earliest defenders of Islam loved death – dying for the sake of Almighty Allah – more than their oppressors loved life. This must be the case when we are fighting life’s other battles…..”
Kahn is introduced with the following: “He is presently press secretary and counselor for Congressman Tom Campbell…”

Tom Campbell: Tool of the Muslim Brotherhood?
Posted by Ryan Mauro Bio ↓ on Apr 9th, 2010
Republican Senate candidate in California Tom Campbell is the frontrunner in the nomination fight and his ties to radical Muslims, specifically Sami al-Arian, have become an issue, but the story is bigger. Campbell has surrounded himself with people tied to the Muslim Brotherhood, who recruited him for their political agenda in a campaign that ultimately reached the Bush White House…..

THERE IS A MUCH BETTER PLAN FOR DEALING WITH THESE MUSLIMS , WHO ARE OBVIOUSLY ‘ CLOSET JIHADISTS ‘. IT IS EASY TO NOTICE THOSE WHO ATTACK US, DESTROY PROPERTY, AND CURSE AMERICANS. EVEN MORE DANGEROUS ARE THOSE WHO EMPLOY WHAT ROBERT SPENCER SO APTLY NAMED ” STEALTH JIHAD “~ THE INTENT TO INFILTRATE AND TAKE OVER OUR GOVERNMENT, EDUCATION, BANKING, FINANCE,COURTS AND ALL OTHER ASPECTS OF LIFE IN AMERICA , THEN TO RAISE THE HATED FLAG OF ISLAM OVER OUR CAPITOL AND WHITEHOUSE.
TO LEARN THE TRUTH , LISTEN TO MUSLIMS TELL YOU THEIR INTENTIONS AND LISTEN TO CONVERTED MUSLIMS AND OTHERS WHO SURVIVED THE TERROR, MURDER, DESTRUCTION AND THREAT OF SHARIA LAW. ALL MUSLIMS ARE TREACHEROUS, SNEAKY AND HAZARDOUS TO YOUR HEALTH, SAFETY, AND ” LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINMESS “. THEIR UNHOLY q’uran COMMANDS THEM TO LIE TO NON MUSLIMS ( TAQUIYYA ) AND KILL THEM. THEY ARE ALL DESCENDED FROM FATHER IBRAHIM (ABRAHAM) ~ 2001 B.C. , AND HIS SON BY HAGAR, WHOSE NAME WAS ISHMAEL. THE HOLY BIBLE SAYS OF ISMAEL: ” HE WILL BE A WILD ASS OF A MAN, HIS HAND AGAINST EVERY MAN AND EVERY MAN’S HAND WILL BE AGAINST HIM “. THAT IS HOW THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN AND HOW THEY WILL ALWAYS BE. LET US EDUCATE YOU ON A FEW ACCURATE DEFINITIONS :
INFIDEL ~ UNFAITHFUL, SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT BELIEVE IN JEHOVAH ( GOD ).
BLASPHEMER ~ ONE WHO REJECTS JEHOVAH AND HIS HOLY SPIRIT .
ALL MUSLIMS ARE INFIDELS AND BLASPHEMERS.
ALL MUSLIMS MUST BE DEPORTED OUT OF AMERICA, SINCE WE NEVER KNOW WHICH ONE OF THEM WILL ATTACK US NEXT.

ISLAM IS NOT A RACE , SO MUSLIMS CAN NOT CLAIM RACISM .ISLAM IS NOT A RELIGION , IT IS A SICK, SINISTER POLITICAL IDEOLOGY WHICH DEMANDS TOTAL BLIND OBEDIENCE .
SHARIA LAW ALLOWS MEN TO BEAT THEIR WIVES AND KILL WOMEN WHO DO NOT ADHERE TO STRICT ISLAMIC SPECIFICATIONS ( HONOR KILLINGS )
THERE ARE MANY DEMANDS BY MUSLIMS TO INITIATE SHARIA INTO AMERICAN COURTS AND " WE THE PEOPLE " MUST FIGHT AGAINST IT WITH ALL OUR MIGHT .
Dude you need serious help. I think people like you are actually the biggest threat to our security right now. If a jihadist group sees and uses your blog their recruitment will probably triple.
Geller and Spencer are poison to the conservative movement. Geller’s hysterical shrieking paints everyone who opposes actual Islamic fundamentalism with the same kooky brush (see her absurd Butterball turkey nonsense she drummed up).
She wants one thing and one thing only, attention. Why Spencer follows her around like a lovestruck puppy dog while she pans for the camera is beyond me. Hell, look at her face, she mangled it with cheap plastic surgery.
There’s a reason CPAC doesn’t allow these two idiots to participate (their events are non-official and are not sanctioned by CPAC) and it’s because they cross the line between opposing jihadism and the rise of radical Islam in the Muslim world and flat-out Muslim-bashing.
Nonsense.
PalinFan – right on.
Fla_dude, I am not so much interested in discussing Pamela Geller. Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller are friends. They collaborated on a book entitled, “The Post-American Presidency: The Obama Administration’s War on America.”
Spencer is the New York Times best-selling author and scholar on Islam. How is PalinFan right in his / her assertion Spencer is poison to the conservative movement? I would be interested in your thoughts if you are willing to share them.
Sure, you mentioned Spencer is a “scholar on Islam”. can you please tell me what scholarly credientials he has on Islam? Does he have a PHD in Islamic studies?
Rabbi Akiva ben Joseph was not descended from a prominent rabbinical family. He was the grandson of a convert to Judaism. As a young man Akiva worked as a shepherd. He received no formal education. Akiva was the mortal enemy of the rabbis; an am ha-aretz (ignoramus). Akiva is arguably the Talmud’s greatest scholar. Akiva is referred to in the Talmud as “Rosh la-Chachamim” (Head of all the Sages.)
Not to compare Spencer to Israel’s ancient prophets, what credentials did Moses have in Jewish law? Jesus?
The late Edward Said got his Ph.D. in English Literature from Harvard University. Barack Obama’s friend, Rashid Khalidi received a D. Phil. from Oxford University. Both are apologists for Islam and the jihad.
More importantly Fla_dude, how is PalinFan right in his / her assertion Spencer is poison to the conservative movement? To her assertion, you wrote “right on.”
Spencer never studied Islamic studies, he does not even know Arabic. Noone can even begin to consider themselves a scholar of Islam if they don’t know Arabic. Biblical scholars must learn the old languages like Greek, Latin, otherwise there is no way they can be considered scholars of the bible if they can’t even understand the original language of the texts. Spencer is not qualified, period. Calling Spencer a scholar of Islam is like taking an Amish farmer as a technology consultant. And most of all, Spencer is no Moses, and Spencer is no Jesus!
To your points below.
You wrote: “Spencer never studied Islamic studies, he does not even know Arabic. No one can even begin to consider themselves a scholar of Islam if they don’t know Arabic. I cannot say I agree with you. Muslim apologists and their non-Muslim defenders make this, your case. Why shouldn’t I not conclude you yourself are an apologist for the global and the domestic jihad? What are YOUR credentials? Are you Muslim? Have you studied Islam? If so whom have you studied? What authorities?
I hear this argument often that one cannot understand (especially) the Hebrew Bible if one is not literate in Hebrew. Just as there are excellent translations of the Qur’an (Abdullah Yusuf Ali’s Text, Translation & Commentary, Marmaduke Pickthall, for example), so there are excellent translations of the Bible. Additionally there are Concordances and Lexicons for those who wish to study the meanings and the root of Hebrew words in the Bible. There are excellent Biblical commentaries and reference Bibles. Sure it would be outstanding to be fluent in Hebrew but you cannot convince me one cannot obtain a decent grasp of the Bible with the help of the many resources, with the help of authoritative rabbis and their commentaries.
The same holds true for Islam. The Qur’an is available to the English reader. There are excellent commentaries, as I said including Yusuf Ali and others. I’m not here to defend the totality of Spencer’s work. As I say, I have some differences with him but not on Islam per se. Spencer has devoted himself to the study of Islam and its texts for approximately thirty years, many more years than I have devoted to its study. In his books, he carefully cites his sources; Reliance of the Traveler, Ibn Ishaq, Shaf’i, Maliki Hanafi and Hanbali schools of Sunni Islam; Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, Abu Dawud, an-Nasai, etc., and of course the all-important Qur’an.
If Spencer’s scholarship, as you assert, is non-existent, why does he have such difficulty pinning-down other scholars (you regard as authorities) to debate him? Why don’t they point to egregious errors in his books publicly so we can know Spencer is a fraud? Why? Maybe, just maybe because they can’t? The debates with scholars on Islam I have personally watched, it looks to me Spencer holds his own just fine. Apologists scholars have difficulty responding openly and honestly to Spencer’s undeniable assertions about the life of the prophet, Muhammad. You saw how Suhail Kahn bobbed and weaved in the video above. What is he afraid of? Why wouldn’t he commit to a good televised or on-line debate (on this site) with Spencer if as you say, “Spencer is not qualified, period?”
This argument put forward by some scholars, that they do not want to grant Spencer any legitimacy is a cop out!
Once again. I will try one more time Fla_dude. How is PalinFan right in his / her assertion Spencer is poison to the conservative movement?
To her/his assertion, you wrote “right on.” Why are you dodging my question?
One more thing: Geller/Spencer officially jumped the shark when they repeatedly claimed pro-Israel gov. Rick Perry was a “stealth jihadi.” Nope, not making that up.
http://www.americanthinker.com/2011/12/rick_perry_and_sharia_and_robert_spencer.html
PF, what you write is nonsense. I’ve got several of Robert Spencer’s books. Post 9/11 I was looking for honest and (fairly) objective authors on Islam. Is anyone without at least some bias? Spencer is a pretty good scholar on Islam. I have had my difference with Spencer on some issues but on Islam, he is one of the best authorities out there in my view. Spencer’s (and Geller’s) criticism of Rick Perry — in spite of the good things Perry has done for his state — was on target. After Spencer exposed Governor Perry’s / Aga Khan’s whitewash history curriculum (on Islam) in some of Texas’ public schools, the curriculum was immediately scrubbed from the government website. Why do you think they do that unless they did not want the public to study it carefully?
You put this term “stealth jihadi” in quotes. Did Spencer call Governor Perry a stealth jihadi or did the discredited David Stein whom you link to on American Thinker use that term?
Why didn’t you link to Spencer’s several replies to Stein?

I attended a panel at CPAC called “Promoting Religious Freedom in the US and Abroad.”
It was led by Suhail Kahn. There was a Catholic University Jewish professor, Breger, who spoke about sharia and DEFENDED it!
He distributed an article titled, “Why Jews Can’t Criticize Sharia Law.”
I can scan it to you. It is full of deception.
So after the panel I stood up and suggested everyone attend a later lecture by Geller and Spencer to hear the TRUTH about the threat of sharia law and got in to a little heat with Kahn and Breger in the room.
I thought Kahn looked familiar, but I didn’t know why.
Later, I googled him and knew why — I had read how he is the Muslim Brotherhood!
I was also at the banquet that night and witnessed Kahn lead the Pledge of Allegiance! I almost died! How can you be a part of a group who promised to “destroy America from within” and say the Pledge?!
BY CHANCE I later stumbled upon Kahn and Spencer and Geller going at it in the hotel lobby. I turned my phone on and also shot a short video.
So, Kahn and Norquist, both Muslim apologists, are on CPAC’s board!
Kahn arrogantly said to me that Spencer is not recognized by CPAC!
Kahn doesn’t like Gaffney either, no surprise.
Holy s***!
It is my goal this week to spread this message and to contact everyone on the CPAC board and tell them (they might already know.) It’s madness! If we can’t talk about radical Islam and sharia law at a CONSERVATIVE conference, where can we? This must stop.
But we must WIN in November, I am sick about it.
I want to go back to CPAC next year, but only if we win. I cannot imagine gong back under a second Obama term.
When all this happened, I remembered how Geller had blogged on Atlas Shrugs last year about problems with CPAC and getting their film shown. I thought, “How can this be?” This should be the place where this issue can and MUST be comfortably raised. But clearly, CPAC, and the GOP, have been infiltrated by the MB.
Mary, you might not like what I am going to write in response to what you wrote. I want to thank you for your diligence and your vigilance.
I am a forty year registered Republican, former Republican party activist – a precinct committeeman in our party for several years. Sperry relates what I am about to write because he is one of the few courageous conservatives who wrote about the Bush administration and Muslim Brotherhood in his book “Infiltration: How Muslim Spies and Subversives have Penetrated Washington.” Otherwise you have to look to leftist authors like Craig Unger (“House of Bush, House of Saud) to get some of the details.
My guess is Sperry is unwelcome in elite Republican circles.
In 2000 when I voted for George W. Bush, I was shamefully unaware of his and his father’s long-term lucrative financial dealings with the Saudis and the Saudi Royal Family. It was President Bush who misled the American people about Islam, Saudi Arabia and its Wahhabi / Salafi ideology that inspired the 9/11 attacks. Bush misled the public; actually he redacted 28 pages in the Congressional 911 Report detailing complicity — up to the highest levels of the government in Saudi Arabia — with Al Qaeda and the September attacks.
Only days after the September attacks in New York and Washington Bush unveiled his vision for a Muslim-enemy state in Israel’s strategic heartland, in accord with a pledge he had made in late August 2001 to then Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah.
Sadly, conservative activists, radio talk show hosts like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, Republican party leaders, all circled the wagons around Bush even as he was betraying our only friend in the region, Israel. Bush brought these Muslim Brotherhood activists into the White House. He prayed with them in the WH and in their mosques. He assured the American people Islam means peace and the “terrorists” hijacked a peaceful and wholly just religion; the terrorists blasphemed the name of Allah, Bush assured us. Is it any wonder Americans elected a Muslim-born president in 2008, with deep sympathies for the world of Islam?
KAHN IS the Muslim Brotherhood. These attacks on the brave Geller and Spencer are totally out of line and dangerous.
GOP ‘moderate Muslim’ — or not
By PAUL SPERRYLast Updated: 3:14 PM, January 10, 2011 http://www.nypost.com/p/news/opinion/opedcolumnists/gop_moderate_muslim_or_not_6KV9VBkSqzkHBqaOxRzMUK
Suhail Khan, a major Republican sup porter of the Ground Zero mosque, has been lobbying GOP leaders on the Hill to back off their opposition. He’s got their ear, mainly because he portrays himself as a moderate, patriotic Muslim. Yet newly surfaced videos contradict that.
Khan, a Bush administration vet who sits on the board of the American Conservative Union, assures skeptics that “Park 51 community center” imam Feisal Rauf is a “moderate.” Fears over the mosque are overblown, he insists, fomented by “anti-Muslim bigotry.” In a recent letter to fellow Republicans, he warned the party was “alienating millions of Arab-American and Muslim-American voters.”
Khan: Several dubious friends.
VIDEO: SUHAIL KHAN
But Khan’s assurances ring hollow against his own connections to radicals. While he strenuously denies such ties, evidence has emerged — including exclusive video footage — that exposes Khan comfortably in the company of known Islamic extremists. Consider:
* In June 2001, Khan personally accepted an award from the now-notorious Abdurahman Alamoudi, then head of the American Muslim Council.
* “We have with us a dear brother,” Alamoudi said as he prepared to honor Khan with a plaque at the group’s annual conference. “I’m really proud to be with Suhail Khan. Some of you saw him today in the White House, but inshallah [Allah willing], you will see him in better places in the White House, inshallah.”
Khan thanked his patron, saying “Abdurahman Alamoudi has been very supportive of me. . . . I hope, inshallah, we can keep working together.”
Just days earlier, Sen. Arlen Specter of the Judiciary Committee had cited a New York Post report documenting how Alamoudi had supported terrorists and “declared an interest in destroying America.” By 2003, Alamoudi had been busted for plotting a terrorist attack; the top al Qaeda fundraiser is now serving 23 years in federal prison.
* In September 2001, four days before the 9/11 attacks, Khan spoke at the Islamic Society of North America’s convention. Introducing him was Jamal Barzinji, whose offices and home were raided by federal agents after 9/11. “Barzinji is not only closely associated with PIJ [Palestinian Islamic Jihad], but also with Hamas,” according to the search-warrant affidavit. (A lawyer for Barzinji, who has not been charged, says he is the victim of a government “witch hunt.”)
At the event, Khan shared his experiences from “inside” the White House, and praised his late father, Mahboob Khan, for helping found ISNA — which the government now says is a front for the radical Muslim Brotherhood and has raised money for jihad. The founding documents of the Brotherhood’s operation in America (recently seized by the FBI) reveal that it is in this country to “destroy” the Constitution and replace it with Islamic law.
Khan’s father also helped found the Muslim Community Association in Santa Clara, Calif. This Khan family mosque is listed in the Muslim Brotherhood’s own documents as one of “our organizations.” In the 1990s, according to the San Francisco Chronicle, it hosted Ayman al-Zawahiri — now al Qaeda’s No. 2 — as he toured the US raising money.
Khan vowed in his speech to carry on his father’s “legacy.”
* Speaking at ISNA’s 1999 conference, Khan exhorted Muslims to sacrifice their lives to “protect our fellow brothers and sisters” in “Palestine” and Iraq and those held in the US as terrorist suspects.
“The early Muslims loved death, dying for the sake of almighty Allah, more than the oppressors loved life,” said an impassioned Khan, who wiped away tears throughout his speech. “This must be the case when we are fighting.”
He added: “What are our oppressors going to do with a people like us? We are prepared to give our lives for the cause of Islam.”
* More recently, in March 2008, Khan led a private Council on American-Islamic Relations workshop with Jihad Saleh Williams of the Congressional Muslim Staff Association on how to “jump-start” a career on the Hill.
The year before, the government had named CAIR (whose past board members include Khan’s mother) as an unindicted co-conspirator in a criminal scheme to funnel millions of dollars to Hamas suicide bombers and their families, prompting the FBI to cut off all outreach to the group. CAIR, the US government says, is a front for both Hamas and its parent the Muslim Brotherhood.
Khan may plead “guilt by association” — but he’s done a lot of associating with a lot of guilty people and groups over the years. At a bare minimum, he’s completely failed at identifying the bad guys — contrary to the record of those he brands as “anti-Muslim bigots.”
Republicans, beware.
Hoover Institution media fellow Paul Sperry is author of “Infiltration” and “Muslim Mafia.”
