    Exiles? Really. Common Javier.

  2. Susan Benton says:

Note Marco Rubio’s shirt, it is a guayabera, a shirt which originate in Cuba (although there are some weak claims to it being Mexican), which he has a right to wear.(Just as Scots, or other who are Scottish descent are the only ones who have a right to wear the kilt). Although others wear it, care is normally taken to avoid it’s use as symbolic dress.

Obama, who sometimes thinks he is Irish, and sometimes thinks he is Ronald Reagan or FDR, had a guayabera custom made for this meeting – what a phoney. It would be fine if he wore it in private, but to wear it to this particular meeting is an embarrassment. This will not win Obama any respect, rather it is on the same level with his claim to an Irish heritage – everyone is Irish on March 17th. It means nothing, and to make a point of it is adolescent.

  3. David Reinhardt says:

Once again, Obama says what ever he wants to at a given time. Just depends on who is speaking to and how many lies come from his mouth.

  4. Sandra Sedam says:

    What Susan said. Spot on.
President Obama almost speaks in tongues, although a-religious in nature.
The speech in front of the Prussian War Memorial (chilling to view), the speech in Cairo, the speech promoting Solyndra, the speech (one of my favorites) about how Caterpillar was “comin’ back!”
(He cannot use “ing” to any degree.) And on and on and on. To numerous to mention all the phoney-ness and hypocrisy of his Wizard of Oz persona.

My earnest hope is that Marco continues to speak truth to power. The Cubans are a courageous, proud people. Long may they stand for individual freedom. And may Ozzie simply find another team. There are those of us who well-know of Castro and his tyranny. What if: a similar situation occurred in New York City whereby Hitler was loved and admired by a leading sports figure.

      Emmaojeda,
I can decode a few of those words, and they intrigue me enough to want to know what you said. Will someone with the gift of our two languages, please translate for me? Thanks.

    Translation:

I think the trip Senator Marco Rubio will move the dormant sentiments (feelings?) of many. He did an excellent job; as much as it might hurt some; and I say in in Spanish for those whom don’t understand the language of this country. We have a right to know. It doesn’t matter the language or nationality, we are all American citizens. Greetings.

My own comments: I’m not sure I understand what emmaojeda is trying to say. I think she’s perhaps addressing other Hispanics and she’s telling them that even though they speak Spanish and were born elsewhere, Rubio is what she stands for and they’re all American citizens. ??

  8. Albert Abbatiello says:

Marco Rubio is a true patriot. He gets his point across without being harsh or hypocritical. In contrast the Obama regime leader is a hypocrite and too frequently works to divide our country and other democracies for the sake of trying to get re-elected in his effort to complete the transformation of America into a socialist country. This transformation will make the U.S. a second tier economy.

  9. Lowie says:

Those of us in North Central Florida love and appreciate Senator Marco Rubio. Miami was my home for many years in the mid sixties and was there for the Cuban airlift by Eastern Airlines. Senator Rubio has been a leader in the Senate to bring about solutions that will keep America strong through the free enterprise system. Now is the time for all Floridians to vote to oust the socialist leaning politians that we are finding in every agency in Washington.

  10. Earl says:

Although Cuba is a totalitarian state, it is still in the Western Hemisphere, and a Summit of the Americas should include all countries in our region, including Cuba. If we want to exclude non-demcracies from attending, there are other candidates for that exclusion, such as Venezuela, Nicaragua, Ecuador and Bolivia.
