Florida Governor Rick Scott has affectionately called out Texas Governor Rick Perry by telling him that he was going to “kick his rear” in terms of job creation and having best state economic growth in the nation. During Scott’s remarks to the Republican faithful of Jacksonville, Scott talked about a recent phone conversation with Governor Perry in which he “threatened” to give the Texan a swift economic boot in his seat.
As you all know, Governor Perry is no push over. In fact, I got to know Governor Perry in Iowa earlier this year, and I can tell you that he is one tough hombre. Currently, Texas leads the nation in economic growth, with Florida lagging way down in 2nd place
But will these two Governors come to economic blows anytime soon?
Rumor has it that there are negotiations between the two parties and the WWE to put on a “Lucha Libre” grudge bout later this year. We can’t confirm this rumor, but there’s no truth to another rumor that Governor Scott made a $10,000 wager to Governor Perry about who’s state would be number #1 in jobs creation. DOH!

Rick Scott is COOKED as a politician in Florida.
We must find another Republican with honor to keep the governorship in our party.
Gov. Rick Scott is doing just fine.
Governor Scott has chosen a worthy competitor and goal. It’s very positive that Florida’s Governor has chosen the top job-creating Governor in the land as competition. The citizens can only benefit from the effort.
Perhaps what’s forming here will be contagious enough to spread throughout the South and Southwest!
One thing for sure, the present White House occupant has done nothing but depress the economy, we have the lowest number in the national workforce since 1981.
In Reagan’s fourth year of his first term, the GNP grew at 7.4%.
In Obama’s fourth year on hopefully his first and LAST term, the GNP is 2.2%. We’re also becoming enured to the idea of home foreclosures and the abandonment of searching for jobs which simply are not there.
America must reverse its course, and it will start with the Governors.
Good luck, Governor Scott!
Mr Scott is toast next election. I voted for him strictly because of his so called strong immigration reform stand which was all BS. Time to rid the party of RINO’S
Two great Republican govenors trying their very best to bring hope and prosperity to their citizens with….JOBS. The Texas motto, “DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS” has it’s hands full now that our very own Gov. Rick will be on Gov. Perry’s hindend to get more employment for Floridians. Rick Scott is proving to be one the best governors Florida has ever had.
I agree with Stan Lee that the South has an opportunity for growth as many North East, high taxed states are losing population due to companies heading South. Texans are tough, rugged, and smart businessmen and we need more of that right here in Florida.
Rick Perry is a Muhammedan loving big government socialist RINO. I don’t trust him. He backed the biggest liberal in the primary against the Tea Party Cruz and he has been implementing parts of Shariah law in Texas.
Rick Scott has doing exactly what he promised and why he was elected…creating jobs due to a more business friendly environment, cutting unnecessary spending and reforming education.
Good job, Gov. Scott!!!
Good job Gov Scott! Keep up the great works and continue to make Florida a leader in attracting business to the stae! Thank you!
And that new company coming in right in the neighborhood of Ave Maria. That will bring many new jobs and new homes and more businesses to that area as well. Great job, Gov. Scott!
