This is just too embarrassing! Yet another black eye for Broward Republicans, thanks to Denopoli’s juvenile silliness. Unfortunate reality is that Mr. Denopoli needs to step down and let an adult run the show. This election year is too important to allow a kid at the wheel. Florida will be Ground Zero for this Presidential election. RPOF leadership needs to take some decisive actions if it wants to win back the control for the Americans. It’s not a tough choice to make, for the RPOF leadership – a.) Kick the can down the road and not deal with the issue on hand. This may result in us losing the Presidential election and diminishing the possibility of winning back the senate b.) Take decisive action, appoint a committee of ex-Chairs and current leaders (West, Bogdanoff, Moraitis, Tynan, Pozzuoli, Strum, LaMarca, Truex, Collier, Narang, Eikenberg, etc……- plenty of choices there.) to see the party through the 2012 election cycle and then hold free and fair elections. This may result in alienating few of the opportunists that came together to support Denopoli. They will quickly assimilate in another camp where they find an opportunity for themselves. It’s not that difficult a decision BUT someone at the leadership level at RPOF has to take the actions. If RPOF does not act quickly and swiftly, this has a potential of becoming that “small leak that can sink a great ship”.
Deja Vu all over again. This sounds like the Pasco County REC under the direction of Bill Bunting’s puppet Randy Maggard. Dysfunctional and getting worse. Eating their own.
This can be dangerous for the party. RPOF needs to step in quickly and handle this swiftly. We cannot afford this nonsense at a critical time like this in our country’s history. Republicans need to reclaim the White House and the Senate and we need to keep control of the Congress else we are doomed. The ego of dimwits involved has no place this year. Please please please please step aside if you are one of the egomaniacs like this guy at broward REC.
Republicans of South Florida must get on the “band wagon” soon or else Florida will be in the BLUE column. What a disgrace for the RPOF, to have South Florida bickering for control. Corruption is at the core of discent and local citizens must go to the polls in droves to “boot” their asses out!
I am all for the 2nd amendment and love the gun shot! Come on guys get your heads on straight. Our country has much to lose if these radicals from the school of Saul Alinsky keep control.
I promise to vote straight Republican ticket to save the country from these left wing radicals who do not love our system or our Constitution.
This is utterly embarrassing. Why doesn’t someone just fire this DeNapoli guy? Can he be fired?
This kind of activity is normal for GOP committees, and is not an isolated case. It happens in other counties.
Here in Pinellas County it is also bad. The Chairman of the Pinellas County Republican Executive Committee refuses to let members speak!
According to the rules his attorney sent me, they are bound by the GOP Model Constitution, April 2009 (Article X, Parliamentary Authority, p7) to run meetings according to Roberts Rules of Order.
But the term “New Business” has NEVER been uttered at a meeting. Members cannot ask questions or make motions. Each meeting is 60 min of platitudes, and time-killing activity, like introducing every GOP politician in the county, and the Chairman telling the members they need to beat Obama. Duhh.
To retain his power, the Chairman (Mr. J. Beyrouti) makes up his own rules to keep Tea Party people out. (Like his rule of closing memberships 6 months before an elections, or making candidates attend 3 consecutive meetings, BEFORE they are even considered!) So he stays in power by keeping people out, and keeping members quiet.
Requests to the RPOF and Mr. L. Curry have fallen on deaf ears, which is why I am detailing my compliant here. No one within the state GOP has shown the slightest intention of caring.
The results of the Repubs Country Club attitude can clearly be seen in Tallahassee. No E-verify, No ban on Sharia Law in Fl. Courts, No Illegal Alien Law,just to mention 3 popular measures killed in committee or not scheduled for a vote.
Repubs don’t like Tea Party participation in their “Club”.
The only “public input” they want is $ and votes at election time.Otherwise run along and don’t bother them as they dispense the pork to their buddies.
Pinellas County Repub meetings are worse than a funeral parlor, why waste your time?
There was a quote once that said, ” Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their Country.” Actually, that quote may have never been said; it was primary instruction for learning how to ” type “.
I enjoy the positive posts by the Shark, however, now is not the time to pull apart the Republican Party with negative posts, true or not. The BREC Chairman is here for the duration, so let’s get out the Republican Vote, and come to the aid of our Country. It is not a ” County ” fight, it’s a ” COUNTRY FIGHT “.
You have too much talent Javiar to waist on chasing the wind.
Republican party is doing just fine, aside from the Broward GOP. You are a hypocrite, considering that you are the Sargeant-at-arms, and was responsible for what happened that night.
Do you think that we are stupid to not know that you were culpable-fortunately you have a big mouth, and spilled the beans with your knowledge of what had transpired.
F — orget BREC. As usual the Presidential campaign will send in its own operatives to make sure SOMETHING gets done. Richard is not the first inept Chairman, just the most insecure, insignificant and lame. The clubs need to step up so we can turn out the vote in Broward. Otherwise it’s “President Obama” all over again. (Shudder!)
RBN is huge. It should command quite the following to run one or two HQs. The 2 Federated Clubs, the YRs and the Log Cabin: they are not beholden to that popinjay at all. They need to step up. I guess in the case of some of the Presidents of some of those clubs, it might mean pulling out their heads from up Richard’s…
You get the idea. We need to motivate to elect Romney. NOW!
Charlie Crist Republican DeNapoli had an gay affair with a well know Broward County Judge! This guy is really a Progressive…
What a fool this Denapoli guy ! How did you guys pick such an idiot for this job ? What went wrong ? Every time we talk about Broward REC up here we shudder about how the registration is dropping and you have a moron running the committee. And now what is this I see here – the guy is gay ! What is going on down there people ? Straighten out your mess quickly. We have important elections coming up.
How can the Executive Committee be so stupid to go against other Republican chapters in the county ? I blame the officers of the committee. If they do not stop Mr. Denapoli then they are complicit and must be disciplined by the state party. It appears that the party in Broward lacks cohesion and leadership. Again, I am inclined to blame the Chairman and others in leadership at the Committee. Isn’t Sharon Day from Broward ? Where is she on this ? Is she speaking out against this ? If she is not speaking out then she too is complicit in this mess.Seek her out and get her thoughts on this.
Have met Denipoli few times. Don’t care who you want to blame, I can tell you the guy is a giant ass.
