Florida’s U.S. Senate Republican primary race is beginning to heat up. Congressman Connie Mack’s campaign finally found some much needed smelling salts by obtaining several key endorsements, and former U.S. Senator George LeMieux has been trailblazing the state in hopes of sparking Rubio-esque magic. The fiery former Colonel Mike McCalister is still ‘soldiering’ on, but his momentum and campaign appears to have fizzled.
Earlier in the race, the Shark Tank came out and endorsed Adam Hasner, who has since jumped over to run for the House of Representatives. Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be honing our fins in on this race, and we’ll be reporting on every aspect of the candidates’ records and statements – forgettable and otherwise- that will give more than you need to know.
So let’s see who’s got the early lead in the race among readers of the Shark Tank- we’re always doing our best to keep you on the “cutting edge” of what’s going down here in Florida. Please take this poll and share it.

I am leaning toward Connie Mack based entirely on Michelle Bachman’s endorsement. Your stated intent to “be reporting on every aspect of the candidates’ records and statements – forgettable and otherwise- that will give more than you need to know” will be greatly appreciated.

As noted down below in other comments, the media, including the Shark Tank, wish for her to go away so their two establishment favorites, Mack and LeMieux, can prevail. McCalister is now out of money, which the media doesn’t report, since they need the narrative that he still matters to continue.
MARIELENA is making campaign appearances all over Florida including several recent ones in the Shark Tank’s neighborhood, but alas, there were no sharks in attendance. She will soon be returning to that neighborhood, if the Shark wants to take its head out of the sand.
MARIELENA will be on the ballot along with Mack and LeMieux, so in a couple of weeks the establishment and the media will have to deal with the reality that the people will have an actual choice in this election. A choice between a lot of baggage with two empty suits or MARIELENA STUART http://www.STUART2012.com the candidate with INTEGRITY.
Why hasn’t Shark Tank reported on Marielena Stuart. Is she a viable candidate? If she is and the local papers and Tea Party’s who have heard her speak believe in her conservative credentials; why is Shark Tank keeping her a secret?

This race is far from over and just because McCallister, Mack, and George have spent a year spending political capital Deon is now on the move.

Presently, I’m quite content to vote for Connie Mack IV. I must confess I would like to know more about Mike McCalister. How does he differ with Lemieux and Mack?

Mike McCalister is very conservative. He is the only candidate with military experience. He has a Ph.D. in business management. He has a viable plan for restoring our economy and getting Americans’ back to work. HIs opponents are trying to paint him as a liar, but his OER’s (signed by his commanding Generals) are on his website under “Meet the Colonel.” I am voting for him because the other candidates act like beauty pageant contestants. Mike McCalister is very intelligent, has experience in the areas needed to serve as a U.S. Senator and he will get things done, quickly.
I was utterly ambivalent/disappointed about the choices in this race until the Bachmann endorsement of Mr. Mack. That got my attention. And then this week Rand Paul, whom I like a LOT, endorsed Mr. Mack. That’s brought me a whole lot closer to making a decision for Mr. Mack. I read people on this site praising Ms. Stuart, but that’s the only place I ever hear about her: in the comments section of this site. If the vote were tomorrow I’d vote for Mr. Mack. I’m nowhere near as excited about him as I was about West and Rubio 2 years ago. I fact, I’m not excited at all. It’s only the 2 endorsements from 2 pols I believe in that have moved me toward Mack.
(Sigh.) I’m about as excited about Mack as I am about Mitt Romney.
Does that mean that Mr. Mack will apply for Swiss citizenship too?

I am very disappointed in the endorsements given to Mack by Paul and Bachman! Mack is married to Sonny Bono’s wife Mary Bono who still holds her deceasd husbands congressional seat and Mack spends most of his time in California, NOT FL!! How can they be married and both hold office in 2 different states! Secondly, they both hold the worst record on voting because they miss so many of them!! Mack has a good name but he is NOT like his dad and granddad! George Lemieux unfortunately is associated with Crist but served us well while he was in office for 16 mos. Herman Cain endorsed Lemieux. Paul and Bachman got BAD advice when they endorsed Mack! More will be coming out against him and they will look like idiots for doing this.

I would vote for McCalister based on just one speech I heard. I don’t think he is viable or has a chance to upset the establishment candidates and in the general election I will vote for the nominee, most likely Mack. The fact that Bachman and Paul came out in support of Mr. Mack is important to me and he will get a second look from me.
The most important thing in this election is not the Presidential race but the Senate race. Without control of the Senate, Obama is neutralized, unless he keeps acting like Chavez and issuing his rulings in which case a Republican controlled Senate and House can always impeach, just ask Clinton!
With David Weldon thinking about getting in it is yet another indication of how weak Mack, McCalister and Lemieux really are. No candidate is more conservative has more drive and growing more support than Deon Long. McCalister made a great impression on me when he spoke at CPAC, but a one speech candidate is what got this country in trouble.
Glad to see him still in this race so Floridians can learn more about about him. I will NOT support LeMieux in the primary, because of his close ties to Crist and the moderates that control our state. Connie Mack has some support from incumbents that I admire and he is probably the best choice. I stand by my conviction to vote Republican from top to bottom on my ballot. I can NEVER vote for another Democrat, as they have trashed the greatest country on earth.
Marielena Stuart is the only candidate with common sense. She has a record of having fought a fierce battle against PPPs in her district, all the way to Tallahassee. She will not take any prisoners in D.C. She will not sell We, The People out. Wake up, America!

Shark Tank is another liberal paper, getting it’s news and journalists from the Bilderbergs I see. Anyone that is coming into a political race “not endorsed by the 2 head snake ( The American politcal Party SYSTEM R&D), just is treated like chopped liver!

I have heard MariElena speak. I can’t believe anyone would take her seriously as a viable candidate. She speaks so slowly, it probably takes her an hour and a half to watch 60 minutes. Just because she has experienced the oppression of Cuba, doesn’t make her qualified to run for the office of United States Senate. None of the other 99 senators would give her the time of day. I believe she is a good person, but she really should stick to journalism. That is wher she could have an impact by being a conservative voice in the media. I can’t even imagine her going up against Bill Nelson. We need someone qualified who can beat Bill Nelson. It is not Marielena.

Connie Mack lives in CA. Look at his non voting record. He spends more time out of Congress than in congress. Do the RINOS like him because he likes those sustainable development people who want to guide us into a One World Government, living in our govt issue housing in our planned communities where every move is government controlled by the UN?
George voted for the Food Safety Bill without reading it. How many more politicians do we need that do not read the restrictions they place on our freedom and liberty?
Marielena Stuart walks the walk and talks the talk. Yet she is blocked from these polls because of what, money? So we will settle for a candidate that is more of the same because they have money not values?
Mike Mc Calister and Ron Mc Neil are also real and know the dangers of communism a UN take over but also have little money.
Marielena, Mike and Ron know and talk about the dangers of communism but that is not PC so they do not get the attention they deserve. Yet these three have put their necks on the line and are carrying on incredible grassroots campaigns. They are getting their message out and need help from all of us.

I’ve heard all of these Senate candidates speak and Stuart will get my vote. She has a far better grasp on how to turn this country around. I haven’t heard a Senate or House candidate nationwide with her skills and basic knowledge of the true problems we face. The party machine better wake up before they completely loose their sense of direction.
As a conservative, I have many of the same concerns about LeMieux that I have read here. Certainly too moderate for me, and not even on my “maybe” list. Connie Mack is also off my list, but for different reasons. I was a Gingrich supporter in the primary, and was sickened by Mack’s childish and immature behavior as he played one of Mitt Romney’s little attack dogs. Chasing Newt around the state, not to point out policy differences, but to hyperventilate over what he did in his personal life 20 years ago. And on top of it to lie about Newt’s career and record showed me a side of Mack I didn’t expect. I decided then, before all of Mack’s personal issues began to surface, that I would never be interested in him as a candidate for anything.
So, that said, I am open to all other candidates and will listen carefully to all of them. It’s vitally important that we take the Senate from the Dems this year.
Marielena Stuart is a typical Romney-like Republican. If you’re a Tea Party conservative, don’t be duped by Stuart. I just listened to her speech at a local Tea Party meeting, and she preached to the choir about how socialism is bad (on and on about it, as if we didn’t already know), but then refused to voice any support for Ron Paul’s views, and could not oppose Romney’s socialist healthcare record — she ain’t no Tea Party candidate, that’s for sure.
Marielena Stuart is the only person running that will truly represent Florida. She is a true conservative born in Cuba and knows about communism first hand. She loves and appreciates being an American Citizen. She is an intelligent and hard working woman who travels throughout Florida with her husband and two children to spread her message.
She is not interested in becoming a career politician; she simply wants to make her contribution to clean out the corruption that exists within our government and then return to life as a very successful and prominent journalist. If you hear her message just once you will recognize that she is the best choice to represent us as United States Senator from Florida.
People here in Naples who know about Connie Mack first hand won’t be voting for him. Unfortunately people are familiar with the name Mack but don’t be make the mistake of thinking he’s anything like his father and/or his grandfather. It’s Connie Mack IV who’s currently trying to slide into the United States Senate on the reputation of his family name. Please don’t be fooled.
