With the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that the individual insurance mandate in the Affordable Care Act is really a tax, it seems as if President Obama and Democratic National Committee Chairman Debbie Wasserman Schultz can’t seem to get their stories straight on this issue.
As you will recall, President Obama once told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that the individual insurance mandate “is not a tax.” Well, DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz explained to MSNBC’s Chris Matthew’s that it is indeed a tax.
DNC Chairwoman Wasserman Schultz, who is also running for re-election to Congress, has taken a considerable PR blow after the revelation that she was being “booted” as the DNC Chair after the November elections. Couple that with the Miami Synagogue speaking fiasco and the fact that President Obama and the administration are at odds with her are indicators the recipe for Democratic disaster is set.
What exactly does Wasserman Schultz mean by this statement that “you’ll be assessed differently than if you carried healthcare?”
If you choose not to have healthcare, you can do that. But, you just need to understand that you will be treated differently on your tax return at the end of the year, and you’ll be assessed differently, than if you carried healthcare -Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz

Whatever works at the moment. The end justifies the means. Obama, DWS and The entire Dem party never let the Constitution or Truth impede their progress. True only to Saul Alinsky’s teaching.
OMG! Obama Must Go –along with the whole regime if our Republic is to survive.
Obama and the Democrats knew that Obamacare would not pass if they called the “mandate” a tax, so they repeatedly denied it, calling it a “penalty”. However the first thing his attny’s did when they went before the US Supreme Court, was to argue that it was a tax. (And that’s how it was declared Constitutional… by calling it a tax)
Now they’re trying to say that the Supreme Court never called it a tax. But the swing vote (Chief Justice Roberts) made it very clear that as a penalty, it was unconstitutional, but as a tax it was constitutional. So if the dishonest Dems want to continue to call it a penalty (not a tax), then Chief Justice Roberts vote already went to “unconstitutional”, and they need to backtrack to make the entire law null and void. However, it seems that this President and the Democrat federal legislators are allowed to have their cake and eat it to.
The bottom line is that they knew all the time that it was a tax, and they played the biggest hoax on the American people that has ever been played. They were DELIBERATELY DISHONEST so they could get that law passed. It’s no wonder people do not trust this President, and the people who support him and vote for his dishonest policies!

debbieblabby finally let a cat out of the bag.too little, too late) someone, please, ask a direct question–how much does the individual pay per yr. i have read somewhere it is seven percent of your income. some folks may think it is free. you’ll be buying expensive, second rate care as the number of available physicians decreases and patients increase along with the number of senior citizens pass on.
you left out her taking Wells Fargo/ Corrections Corp of America money and supporting the immigration detention center (prison) in southwest ranches that constituents successfully protested & stopped, even as she goes on TV and laments the situation for illegal immigrants & supported the Dream Act. She is a first class hypocrite! And if you have ever been to one of her town halls to “talk with” constituents, it is really a speech and photo op for her because she pre-screens questions and only takes those she wants to answer!

Maybe if I make a small edit to DWS’ comment, libtards will understand the danger of the SCOTUS decision and how tyranny ensues when you disregard the wisdom of the Constitution.
