Obama’s Latino Outreach Co-Chair Longoria’s Racial Divisiveness

August 5, 2012

President Obama’s ‘Women’s Summit’ came to town last weekend in Miami, the event was headlined by Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz and  Actress Eva Longoria.

Longoria is one of President Obama’s National campaign co-chairs who hits the stump for the President on all matters ‘Latino.’ This weekend was no different, as Longoria continued to plug the President’s unpopular immigration policy that includes amnesty for illegal aliens, a measure that is not supported by the majority of Americans, regardless of their political affiliation.

After Longoria took several swipes at Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney, Longoria took some time to speak to reporters about Latino background and her involvment in President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign.

Right off the bat, Longoria stated what many of us suspected-she proudly stated that her parents were not immigrants to this country. In fact, the actress said that her parents were “ninth-generation Americans,” saying that “we came here in 1603.”  Huh?

We’ll assume that Longoria’s ancestors were Mexican since she has stated that she is Mexican-American.  If her family did arrive here in 1603 as Ms. Longoria states, the ‘here’ she speaks about would really be territory owned and controlled by Spain. The Mexican War of Independence did not occur until 1810–1821, so in reality, Longoria’s ancestors were really Spanish, right?

I asked Longoria if she knew why President Obama hand-picked her for Latino outreach, and if she represented Hispanics (Latinos) as a whole. Longoria disagreed with me, stating that she did not think she represented “all” Hispanics-

I don’t, I think that’s not true, I don’t represent Hispanics as a whole, I think we are very factioned group, a very different group, form our nationalities, there are Mexicans, Puerto Ricans and Cubans, and its not the “Latino Vote” we have to start thinking of us as Americans-we are all Americans.  Latinos think of the same top five issues as any other American. – Eva Longoria

Eva, only ‘Latinos’ that are actually U.S. Citizens are considered Americans. Longoria is trying to pull a fast one by saying that all ‘Latinos’ are Americans, regardless of whether they are actually U.S. Citizens or here illegally.

We’ve previously reported about Longoria’s immersion in Chicano Studies, a racially divisive ideology-

Eva speaks of knowing what ‘her’ community wants and needs, yet she has failed to clearly articulate how broad her knowledge of the entire Latino community is that she claims to speak for. Yeah, she studied Chicano Studies at California State University Northridge, just like my mother did, who happens to be of Colombian descent.

For those of you unfamiliar of what Chicano studies are comprised of, Chicano studies is an academic discipline that focuses on “Mexican-American’ culture and history that originated in the 60′s and 70′s and was spurred on by the Black Liberation movement. In other words, it is another racially divisive belief system similar to Black Liberation Theology.

The term Chicano was defined as those who comprised the “poorest of the poor”, but during the Civil Rights movement, this term became a rallying cry for their political movement, as most if not all self-described ‘Chicanos’ refer to themselves as such simply because they do not want to be referred to as either American or Mexican.

Longoria is not referring to herself as a “Chicana” from what we’ve gathered, but it is interesting to learn that she decided to seek her Masters Degree in Chicano Studies as opposed to a broader Latino Studies program that would encompass all Latino peoples- Venezuelans, Colombians, Mexicans-(Source-Love at First Shark Bite for Eva)

The real issue here is why President Obama would name Longoria as a national co-chair given her close ties and support of the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) and the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF).  La Raza has made no secrets about its contempt of the “white culture and employs race-baiting tactics. MALDEF advertises itself as the law firm for the Latino community, but it actively attempts to undermine our immigration laws and its members are in support of the “Reconquista” movement whose goal is to foster a separatist ethnic movement in the southwest United States that ultimately declares its independence from the  United States and reunites itself with Mexico.

Check out Longoria’s very feeble attempt to cast Latinos as a victim group- while she speaking at a ‘La Raza’ luncheon (see clip below), Longoria impressed upon the crowd to support the Alma Awards- awards that exclusively recognize Latinos in the media, music and the film industry, implying that Latinos are denied “recognition” throughout the entire industry.

Longoria rants about “our community” and how not to be perceived as “angry Mexicans” and “a bunch of angry Puerto Ricans.”

Each time a Latino is single out and recognized for their talent, the image for Latinos changes for the better in the world and in the media. So what I am asking you to do is embrace it by watching it, because if you don’t watch, you don’t tune in, we cannot change the perception that this world and this country has about Latinos. So be sure you tell you family and friends of all colors to watch. -Eva Longoria

Given President Obama’s past ties to Reverend Jeremiah Wright and his Black Liberation Theology, why should we be surprised that his outreach to Hispanics and Latinos is through Longoria, with her racially divisive Chicano-studies background and associations?

She’s just another progressive liberal who may or may not really believe the garbage she spews, period!

My question To Eva Longoria and ALL who encourage Hispanics to vote for continuing the Obama administration is, WHY?

What Longoria and all the politically active should be doing, is encouraging the Hispanici community to get wise on how our system of government is supposed to function.

The days of Rah ! Rah ! politics are over, and it is time Hispanic surrogates and ALL political campaign advisors get with the program.
When addressing the Hispanic community deal with substance NOT ignorance.

This is a recommendation coming from a politically involved Hispanic
in more ways than just casting a ballot.
The stale appeals to nationalism has played out, and in a material society, when it comes to politics , today, MONEY TALKS AND EVERYTHING ELSE WALKS.

How about if you concern yourself with the AMERICAN community.
It is time to regard yourself as an AMERICAN and not a Hispanic.
If you’re not ready to be an American, go back to a Hispanic country.
My grandparents came here to be Americans, not Polish-Americans or Ukrainian-Americans, but AMERICANS period and they raised their children,my parents to be AMERICANS and speak the language properly and be good, upstanding, hard working AMERICANS.

How about cutting to the chase? Virtually every damn one of us can trace our IMMIGRANT roots–unless we’re one of Native American lineage (an we’ve not been historically kind to them either). Let’s cut the “we got here first” mentality…or lack thereof! All of us humans share our world…we’d better figure out the best way to co-exist and prosper.

  4. Don E. Chute says:

She should quit acting an just starting a people…

  5. Liz says:

La Raza is as racist as the KKK and Obama!
    Esta mujer habla pura basura!

  6. South of the Border Felix says:

Eva Longoria is just another Hollywood pretty face with hot air between her ears. She doesn’t represent me.

  7. LV says:

She is just another Hollyweird leftist playing up to those Hispanics who are Obummer’s useful idiots. No one with even a quarter of a brain would take this fool seriously.

  8. SH says:

Well, there goes another actress! These Hollywood rich folks may think they are doing something really good for the average American by backing Obama and his racially divisive, socialist, fascist policies, but they are just rich Hollywood Actors and Actresses. They don’t have to worry about the day to day living like the rest of us. Eva has just made the list of those who have lost my respect. Will not watch her shows anymore. And….Sean Penn…campaigning with Chavez???? Sean has become the male equivalent to Jane Fonda! He’s living the good life in America, but standing with those who would love to kill us! this is not “freedom of speech”, this is what we call a “traitor”.

Latinos/Hispanics are also Americans with high unemployment numbers. People are struggling to put food on the table with high gas prices, high food prices, high utility bills, insurance premiums going up and up and you’re lucky if you have a job. Someone wake me up and tell me why Longoria wants to talk about social issues?

This administration is just like Hollywood giving voters nothing more then fake imagines to look good. Obama donors even admit he’s the big bank for it’s donors. You people have no idea what others are going through it’s all just an act.

We are Christians and this is our country too.
    Vote Obama out in 2012

Longoria represents the stupid wing of latinodom. She’s a hypocrite and a phony. If Obama ever saw her without that pancake makeup he’d run for the hills. It’s a free country, this zealot can embrace the reconquista extremists but we are free to shun all her work. It’s not like she’s got much talent, aside from the cliche “ay mami” piece of ass roles. And her looks ain’t exactly primo any longer. With Desperate Housewhiners gone, I doubt she’ll do much more. Besides, any celeb who goes that political is stupid and automatically alienates 50% of their fan base.

  11. CG says:

It’s unfortunate that the Latino/Hispanic community is so divided in the U.S.A., as represented by these comments. Divide and conquer by powerful groups has always worked. I realize, however, that one person in whichever community named can never really represent everyone in that community. That is only human nature!

  12. Lowie says:

    Beautiful but dumb! Nuff said

  13. Stan Lee says:

Obama could have tapped almost anyone from Hollywood to campaign for him. I’m surprised he didn’t have Sean Penn working for him, but Penn is busy these days stumping for Hugo Chavez in Venezuela. Penn has gone “International.” He’s muy importante!(He thinks.)

Back to Eva, no doubt she’s attractive enough to get a few male votes,a segment of the voting bloc not going bonkers for Obama. Obama is doing better with single women, which includes divorced or separated types. I have a feeling that they’ve bought into him because of a woman named Sandra Fluke, of Georgetown U. shame…she of the free “morning after pills.” That’s some bill she’ll run up!What better proof do they need about Obama than he supports free pills, abortions, and same sex marriage? What a guy! He’ll give them anything for a vote! The problem is, he isn’t paying for all this selfish indulgence, we are!

Longoria is a refreshing face after seeing too much of D.W-Shultz. I just can’t handle that hyphenated name. What’s her message about that? I wonder if she was ever a nice person. Oh well….

So, Longoria’s family tree goes back to at least 1600 A.D. She sure has a track record. She ought to give part of it to Obama so he wouldn’t keep spending big money to conceal everything he’s hiding.
Somehow, I get the feeling that those of Latin lineage will see right through the likes of Eva Longoria. She is of Hollywood fantasyland. Her life isn’t real, it’s superficial glitz.

The Democrats need Florida, it was better that they sent Eva Longoria, Obama is probably not all that popular and Ms. Schultz appears to have worn-out the welcome mat. But, Hollywood has a difficult sale to make in Florida.
Latinos were not born yesterday, nobody’s going to “schmooze” them!
