The American Sunrise PAC has launched its first attack ad against Congressman Allen West. The political action committee was founded by the father of Congressman West’s general election opponent Democrat Patrick Murphy.
Thomas Murphy Jr. is the CEO of a Miami-based Coastal Construction Group, and he has already kicked in $250,000(Source) into the PAC. But now those funds have been employed in the creation of a questionable ad that depicts West as a boxer who smacks around women and takes money away from middle class families.
The ad slyly uses a caricature of West and portrays him as a bully who hits women- more specifically, a white women- while he grabs money away from a “middle class” family that just happens to be a black family.

It’s a typically misleading ad from a liberal SuperPAC against a principled conservative- of course, it’s always women and minorities who are hardest hit by conservatives’ policies- never mind that it’s West who is the one on the front lines trying to bring an end to our fiscal recklessness and entitlement mentality that Democrats will give their last breath to defend.

Allen West cares about Seniors and women! This ad is so dishonest and smells of Debbie Wasserman-Schultz! Allen West is a “tell it like it is” military man, and the only woman who has received his well deserved concern, is Debbie Wasserman-Shultz, when he said that since she hasn’t acted like a lady, he will not treat her like a lady!
He was absolutely right. DWS and the feminists who wanted him to apologize, have spent years claiming that they want to be called “women”, not “ladies”. Well now they got their wish, and they’re whining about it. They hate any man who actually is a REAL MAN! Thus the dishonest attacks against Allen West!

This is one white woman who would like nothing better than to vote FOR Allen West if I lived in his district. I’d love for him to be Romney’s pick for VP or at least Secretary of Defense in a Romney administration. I want to see him as President one day. He would be great.

Six months ago it was conservative congressman Allan West’s turn to provide lunch for the Congressional [liberal and] ‘Black’ Caucus and he served the democRATs chicken and biscuits from Chick-Fil-A.
Liberal DemocRAT Alcee Hastings says every member of the CLBC just realized that they were and have been offended by West’s choice of cuisine.
[I move the question and ask the chair for a role call vote: Did they eat it and did they ejoy it and were/are they ALL offended?]
According to Hasting the only food item that is verbotten by some sort of concensus is watermelon. Hastings says collard greens, catfish and barbecue are acceptable. Hastings did not offer any judgement on Brazile nuts.
Hastings now claims congressman West’s choice of food was a premeditated ‘in your face’ insult to the members of the liberal black caucus.
[Google 'chicken and biscuits and Ben Kinchlow' to apprise yourself of the cultural significance of that food choice. Kinchlow, like West, is a conservative who also happens to be graced with an abundance of pigmentation.]

Such a typical response. No comparison in the smear tactics going on here with questioning someone’s patriotism. These PAC’s need to be accountable for their downright lying, as do the Senators such as Harry Reid who out and out lie and never get called for it by the Ethics Committee.

I think he should run a similar ad depicting him taking out Wasserman Schulz with a big log labeled “ugly stick”. With every blow DWS coughs up tax dollars that float back into the pockets of tax payers seated around the boxing ring. When she complains about the brutality of the ad after it runs he should say he was only following Democrat lead…..and besides he thought he was helping. It appeared as though she was being attacked by a rabid squirrel. As it turns out it was just a white man’s fro on a bad hair day.

Obviously, this advert is an exaggeration, and actually kind of funny, but when one views Mr. West’s mean spirited prognostications (true or not) and his political embracing of wholesale cuts to important programs and necessary safety nets for the needy, some of the advert rings true. Rep. West would be much more effective if he continued to speak his mind sans the inflammatory language and sensational pronouncements. Live by the mouth, die by the mouth.
What good are any of these programs to the elderly and the needy if they are allowed to collapse under their own weight? People like West rightfully point out the unsustainability of entitlements in their current form, while people like you stick their fingers in their ears and scream loudly instead of trying to do something about the problem.
If we’re going to talk about “mean-spirited” prognostications, when has Allen West accused his opponents of murder, or of not paying taxes for a decade?

I’m for punching out all the women and all the girly-men who swallow this kind of amateur-night commercial drivel. This is typical of the worst kind of political attack-ads that make so many voters disgusted with politics. It ain’t the politics Folks, it’s the people. I’ve heard young men who served under Lt. Col. West say they’d follow him into he– if need be. Soldiers don’t automatically respect their officers, they really respected Col. West, he earned their respect.
His men were his first consideration after executing his mission. There’s good reason why he has been so respected.
What can the “other side” counter him with except the cheapest of innuendos? It’s getting so nasty in politics, if a candidate is white, somehow the opposition depicts him as a racist against people of color. In West’s case, the opposition has him beating up on white women. You’d almost think the KKK was conferring with D.W-Shultz about how to defame a decent man!
Anymore, when I think politics, the first image that registers is the ugliest one, Wasserman-Shultz and David Axelrod plotting someone’s character assassination while sitting at a table in Chicago.

Seems like a fairly accurate portrayal of bully-boy West. He has no problem in smearing Dems as “communists”,nor does he hesitate to support program cuts that would cause considerable hardship to average working folks or the elderly. If he’s not tough enough to handle the much deserved fallout,might I suggest he get out of the “ring”? He can,however,remain in the country..which is more than he’s willing to grant those who disagree with him.
What else would you call people who fall all over themselves praising Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez, while treating American citizens like foreign enemies? As for entitlements, what good will they do the needy and elderly if the entire country and its ability to produce collapses under their weight?
