Although it’s unlikely that Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz would have publicly acknowledged that she was doing so, Wasserman Schultz has in fact been paying very close attention to Republican Karen Harrington, her general election opponent in November.
Now, the battle for the 23rd congressional district is effectively on.
Just moments ago, Wasserman Schultz released a fundraising letter to her donor base that referred to Harrington as a “Tea Party extremist” and lumped her in with in Republican vice-presidential nominee Paul Ryan and presidential nominee Mitt Romney.
Harrington has been a thorn in Wasserman Schultz’ side this entire election cycle, as she has repeatedly called on the Congresswoman to release her income tax returns. Immediately after her primary victory on Tuesday, Harrington challenged Wasserman Schultz to five debates.
Wasserman Schultz also cited her concern that “there are more than 200,000 new people in our district. That’s 200,000 potential supporters who don’t know who I am, or what I stand for.”
This fairly early “warning letter” to her base is very revealing as to Wasserman Schultz’ concerns about her re-election chances.
The majority of the two million dollars that Wasserman Schultz has raised comes from either PAC’s or lobbyists, whereas the $700,000 that Harrington has raised- minus about $15K from PAC’s- has come from individual donors.
Wasserman Schultz may very well be worried about her prospects for victory, as the newly drawn congressional district she is seeking re-election in contains a larger number of registered Republicans and Independents (combined) than Democrats.

Even worse, where was she when Obama made his open-mike comments to Sarcosi? Did she speak out when Obama called for Israel’s return to the indefensible 1967 borders? To all my fellow Jews who voted for her for the simple reason that she is Jewish, wake up! What has she done for Israel? What has she done for our district? All she does is campaign, and she’s on our dime! She offers us no representation whatsoever, and is nothing more than Obama’s puppet. She tows the party line like a trained dog. Sit Debbie. Ha ha, “tea party extreamist”! Hasn’t that mainstream media myth been debunked already? Poor Blabbermouth-Shultz, this could, and should, be the end of her political life…
I don’t understand. D. W. Schlitz……….excuse me….Schultz insists Romney and Ryan release all their tax returns, but she says no to her’s? That wouldn’t be believable if it were other than a DemocRAT making a request like that. You have to admit however, she has done a stellar job of taking over Anthony Wierner’s whining slot in the house.

As a Jew, I am a Republican and have never understood why my fellow Jews vote Democrat. They do not represent us, and even though as a people we don’t give them our support, the Republicans always look out for us…here and abroad! I just don’t get it.
I “lovingly” call Wasserman-Schultz the “Mouth of the South” since she represents Florida. But don’t take offense, Floridians–I am a native Floridian and am appalled that such a person found her way into my beloved state.
I hope that WS is voted out in November. She has participated in the Obama administrations’s efforts to cut Israel loose–deplorable! We need Israel to remain strong. The Obama administration has done nothing but seek to empower Israel’s enemies; I fear they have done what they intended. I pray every day for Israel’s survival.

Schultz doesn’t “go on attack,” she is an attack. It’s all she knows and it’s wearing like an old, scratchy, phonograph record.
There’s a far better alternative to absentee Schultz for that congressional district, her name is Karen Harrington.
Schultz was elected to Congress from her district and has displayed her uncaring attitude to that district by placing it second to her being everything and anything the Obama regime wants her to be.
Most likely, she has spent an equivalent amount of time and effort for her district as Obama has devoted to this nation’s needs…..if that doesn’t amount to “nothing,” then it’s been absolutely minimal.
Who needs a representative to Congress like her?

Last night at the Broward Democratic Executive Committee, all activists South of I-595 were asked to help other candidates in contested races. Wouldn’t Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s district be considered South of I-595? I wonder why they think Karen doesn’t have a chance in hell. Anyway keep up the good fight, if it makes you feel better.
