The Villages, Florida– Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan clearly articulated his and Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney’s Medicare plan and highlighted the fact that ‘Obamacare’ when fully implemented would gut Medicare by $716 billion over the next 10 years.
Ryan, who campaigned with his mom to help rev up those in attendance, reaffirmed to the crowd of about six thousand people that for anyone 55 years old and older, their Medicare benefits were safe. Under the Romney plan, anyone currently under 55 years old will have the option of continuing with the existing Medicare plan or be able to opt out for a voucher driven alternative that gives those individuals the option to shop around for medical insurance coverage.
In much the same manner that Florida Senator Marco Rubio does on the stump, Ryan referenced the fact that his mother was living off Medicare and that the program needs to be preserved for future generations.
Prior to Ryan and his mother’s arrival, a yellow single-engine propeller plane circled overhead with a banner that read “Paul Ryan – KEEP YOU HANDS OFF OUR MEDICARE.” (See -Video)
The plane didn’t attract much attention, and there was also a group of about 30 protesters who marched around the grounds carrying signs that demonized the 42-year old VP pick as the ‘Great Satan’ who wants to end Medicare.
Anyone of the attendees you spoke to railed against Obama’s Medicare should not be used as a piggy bank for Obamacare, Medicare should be the promise that it made to our current seniors, period, end of story. We will end the raid of Medicare, we will restore the promise of this program, and we will make sure that this board of bureaucrats will not mess with my moms healthcare, or your mom’s healthcare. – Congressman Paul Ryan

Unfortunately Obama already has his hands in the back pocket of Medicare
I like his speaking style. Great show of personality with the big laugh with the crowd. And I like the plan for Medicare. I didn’t know Paul Ryan. I am hoping to hear a lot more from him. So far, so good.
In 2001 and 2002 Ryan voted in favor of the PATRIOT Act.
In 2002 Ryan voted in favor of the Homeland Security Act that created the Department of Homeland Security.
In 2005 Ryan supported the Real ID Act. That same year Ryan supported the re-authorization of the PATRIOT Act.
Ryan is no Constitutionalists. Ryan is nothing but a neo-con. He is the farthest thing from a Tea-Party candidate there could be. You are all being sold a pack of lies and you are buying it just because he has a style of speaking you may like. Are you that big of a dupe? WOW
(chuckle) SCB do you even know the definition of “neo-con”? Neoconservatism is rooted in a group of former liberals, who in the late 1960s moved significantly to the right of the spectrum. They are products of the influential Jewish-American sector of the Trotskyist movement of the 1930s and 1940s. In fact Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, and Donald Rumsfeld have been identified as leading neoconservatives despite the fact that they have been lifelong conservative Republicans. Paul Ryan was’t even born when this group emerged.
Because your context seems to show you don’t have a clue what a NeoConservative actually is, the rest of your comments expose you as a Neo-Confederate and a PaleoConservative.
So let me get this straight, your reasoning for these individuals not being a party to the neo-con (communist) movement is because the movements leaders are dead? So due to Hitlers passing the Nazi’s of today bear no resemblance?

That light plane buzzing the crowd location, while trailing a politicking streamer, had to be ample proof to 6,000 attending seniors that Obama’s scared to death the truth is being told. All that regime can do is distortion and distraction. It fails when issues are presented!
Ryan’s disclosures regarding $716 billion of Medicare funding Obama stole to implement his own “legacy” plan, has been revealing of Obama’s selfish motives for his own gratification. Think of how much time has passed before we found out this Obama ploy! Think about those words from Pelosi, “We have to pass it to see what’s in it!”
I believe that Obama couldn’t care less for seniors, his program is designed as law to control this population, not benefit it. And, there’s no doubt that “Death Panels” would be a reality!
I am a senior in Florida…I don’t believe one lie that obama has told since he took the oath in 2009. Obama’s mother is passed, his mother in law lives with him in the whitehouse..he’s not worried about anyones mother… I do not think that he has anyone’s life or health or security on his mind..He has one agenda..to fundamentally change this country into a socialist country and he wants to be the dictator of it..he has spend more money on trips and vacations for himself, his little group of chefs, hairdressers, etc…he has spent like a drunken sailor, which i hate to say that, because ,when a sailor runs out of money, he sobers up and stops spending money he doesn’t have !!! I know that George Bush made mistakes, that he over spent, remember who he had to work with with the congress and the senate, but, i believe he is a most humble man and his parents are still alive and he would not abandon them to cutting medicare or social security..Mrs Bush was a gracious lady with lots of style…unlike the first lady we have now..Mrs. B didnt’ try to tell us what to eat, or when to exercise, unlike the first lady is doing now….we all had mothers advising us of what is right or wrong and what is good or not good for us..we certainly do not need Michelle Obama trying to start now!!!

I’m voting for the Pro-Americans and not for Obama/Biden, the Pro-Communists! Anyone who has read the steps/planks to Communism knows that one of the first things they (the Communists) do, is to takeover healthcare. Well, they’ve done it, it’s called “Obamacare” and they expect all of us to pay for it but come November, it will cost Obama his seat in the White House!
