Over the weekend a few friends of mine asked me if I wanted to go to the movies and check out The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2. However a few of us in the group (only the guys) insisted in seeing the new Brad Pitt hitman movie “Killing Them Softly.”
Because The Twilight Saga was more of a ‘chick-flick’, the guys in the group overruled the babes so we wound up seeing Brad Pitt’s latest offering. However this decision turned out to be the wrong one, as it was apparent right from the outset that we had made a mistake.
As the opening credits rolled, the background audio was that of President Barack Obama giving his 2008 election night victory speech. The setting for the movie was some dilapidated and deserted city- the movie never identified which city the movie was filmed in.
Throughout the movie, whenever there was a TV set in the scene- in a bar, a restaurant, wherever- images of Obama giving speeches were featured. In addition, whenever there was a scene where the car radio was playing, excerpts of other Obama speeches were played. In one instance, an excerpt of George W. Bush giving his explanation for the TARP bailout of 2008 was played. In sum, these political “product placements” amounted to a not-so-subtle dosage of pro-Obama pop culture propaganda.
At one point in the movie, Pitt is negotiating the cost of a contract ‘hit’, but he laments the fact that his price has dropped because of the “state of the economy” for all reasons. Gee, who knew that black market services weren’t recession proof?
Pitt, who is one of the movie’s producers as well as an outspoken liberal perhaps felt the need to make the point that even hitmen were also victims of the “Bush” economic downturn.
While the movie’s story line was cerebral and took a while to develop, it turned out to be a somewhat entertaining movie- but the producers should have refrained from littering the movie with far too many instances of pro-Obama propaganda.
If you’re given the choice, I’d pass on this Obama propaganda/Bush bashing movie.
Please share the post below. Thanks.

Little wonder this movie has been a flop .. if I want to listen to Obama lecture all I have to do is turn on MSDNC .. which I do NOT! In fact if any network wants to lose my viewership just put Obama on. I would have walked out and demanded a refund.

If brad pitt is so stupid and cares so little about this country that has been so good to him in that he has made millions with the American people paying to see his movies, I will never pay another dollor to see a movie he or that trash he lives with has made. They are both traitors to this country.
You are SO right. If we all stop spending our money on trash, we might be able to change things. I have stopped buying anything that supports liberal causes, magazines, papers, products. Did you hear Gretchen C. on Fox and Friends say she went to a Madonna concert? WHY???? How stupid. I have lost respect for Gretchen. I guess she brought her kids, too. What a dodo.

What else can you expect from Hollywood, garbage, garbage and more garbage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I for one, will not spend a single penny of my money on any Liberal backed business. Be it a movie, supply stores, news/network, charities or otherwise. They can go to their socialist president if they need anything. I am sure whatever they get we, the taxpayers, will cover it.
I wonder how ‘impressed’ his father-in-law (John Voight) is with this? Not much, I imagine.
Why would you waste your time and money watching a movie that stars a well known left wing liberal? Of course they’ll try to push their political beliefs on you.
Giving up watching movies made by the liberal elite isn’t much of a sacrifice, I have to say. It’s like giving up listening to the propaganda produced by the Ministry of Truth in George Orwell’s 1984.
Obama rants about ‘you didn’t build it’, to demonize those who work hard and take risks to achieve. But the big elephant the left will never “see” is the fact Hollywood “stars”, increasingly stupider and less talented, make way too much $ for what they offer in return-mostly crappy films we forget in short order. We are to blame since we pony up big $ to see their stuff. I haven’t been to a movie theater in ages. Pitt’s a moron who, like most celebs, should STFU and act, if that. I know if we were to boycott all Hollywood libs we’d be watching Wagon Train and The Alamo ad infinitum. So my ‘do not watch’ list is only Johnny Depp, Sean Penn, Danny Glover (whose career’s over, anyway) and Sam L. Jackson. They are America haters.
I may soon add Brad.
Oh please, it must be a slow news day. Now you’re a movie critic? While I don’t plan on seeing this type of movie, it would appear that this was a deliberate motif that fits into the background of this present day movie…and a social commentary on the sad state of affairs in inner city and low income neighborhood areas. Under served and lack of education leads to few choices…and lots of trouble. Let’s not forget this movie attempts to address “CURRENT” issues and not reminisce about those glorious Bush years of the “PAST”.
Oh, please, go troll elsewhere. Deliberate motif….blah, blah, blah. Media bias and liberal propaganda are CURRENT issues and were just at the the forefront of a presidential election.
Uselogic: Relax! CraigInFlorida is entitled to his opinion. We are the tolerant ones, remember? In regards to Hollywood, I agree with the majority opinion expressed herein that Hollywood is a cesspool that churns out mostly garbage. Of course, one persons garbage is anothers treasure. For instance, I don’t know your opinion of “Snatch” or “Inglorious Basterds”, but I enjoyed both (especially Snatch) and thought that Brad Pitt was brilliant in both. His personal politics be damned. I’m sure that most Publix cashiers don’t agree with my politics, but that won’t have me not shopping at Publix.
We are so fortunate to have liberals in the movies and propagandizing a corrupt administration. California, a liberal state that is solid Obama is chasing liberals out of the state as fast as they can. WE will tax you, WE will regulate you – WE will nickel and dime you —– AND you will leave the state!

How did I know?
And it’s gonna get worse, Obama told MTV he wanted music to be more political!
Is anyone with a bit of insight surprised? Most all popular culture such as movies, music, art, television shows and news channels, comedy routines, education and union influence blindly follow liberal/anti-Christian policy. Jim Jones being one of the early San Francisco prototypes. Liberalism truly is a mental disorder. Liberalism is the culture of death. Liberals can not help but drink the cool aide. I rest my case. Peace
For the past 20 years I stopped going to see “Hollywood made movies” just because I would not endorse liberals, last movie I went to see was Ayn Rand “Atlas Shrugged” and Danish De Souza “2016 Obama’s America” I just wish the rest will do the same to see how much money the can afford to give people like Obama.
