Georgia Mom Makes Case For Gun Ownership, Shoots Intruder In The Face

guns ”A Georgia mother shot an ex-convict six times to protect her and her children after he apparently forced his way into the family’s home.”

Yes, that was the opening to a Fox News story about a homeowner who had to defend her family from an intruder who broke into her home with a crowbar.  Anti-gun advocates must be fuming to hear that a homeowner had to use the family gun in self-defense, casting doubt on their case of furthering gun restrictions after the recent Newtown mass shootings.

Democrat members of Congress and their anti-gun lobby friends saw an opportunity to try to push for legislation banning tactical weapons and high capacity magazines after what seems like a stream of  mass murders using firearms, most notably the Sandy Creek school shooting and the recent shooting Aurora, Colorado, in which four people were killed, including the shooter.

This incident in Georgia is by no means an isolated case, since hundreds of other similar acts of self-defense have been reported nationwide. In many of these self-defense cases quickly became cases of self-preservation, as intruders were armed with their own firearm or other weapon.

He opens the closet door and finds himself staring down the barrel of a .38 revolver,” Walton County Sheriff Joe Chapman told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The woman fired six bullets, five of which hit Paul Ali Slater in the face and neck area, Chapman said. But Slater, who has arrests dating to 2008 and was released from jail in August, was still conscious.

“The guy’s face down, crying,” the sheriff said. The woman told him to stay down or she’d shoot again.

While down, the woman and her children ran to a neighbor’s house, and the injured intruder made it out of the home and into his car, the paper reported.

Authorities found Slater a short time later bleeding profusely in a neighbor’s driveway.-Fox News

By threatening to pursue stronger gun-control measures, President Obama has proven to be a prolific gun salesman, as gun sales of ammunition, tactical rifles, and all other firearms have ‘shot through the roof.’

Americans will undoubtedly be ‘clinging’ to their guns and keep’em ‘locked and loaded.”

The Bill of Right’s is not negotiable! What part of “Shall not be infringed” do you not understand? Our founders knew tyranny, they put the second amendment in for us to protect ourselves from a government wielding too much power in it’s attempt to control the people. They wanted us to be well regulated and have the “weapons of the day” to be on an equal fighting field to protect our country.

We are not subjects, we are the EMPLOYERS of this Administration, all the way to the top. Any congressman/woman that sides with obama, feinstein and company and votes for any gun grab policy should be voted out. Call and write your Representatives, often. Keep track of their voting record. Time to get off the fence and take a stand. God Bless America.

On Saturday, my husband and I passed a gun shop and I mentioned that I was considering getting a gun for protection. After reading this story, I am convinced. If Obama thinks he has the right to continue telling Americans what to do, he had better think again. I support all gun owners, according to the Constitution. Obama, and all liberals, had better stop acting like gods. Rather, they are a bunch of tin soldiers.

The NRA’s monthly mgazine, “First Freedom”, is filled with about a dozen of these stories every month.

While guns are good for killing run of the mill criminals the Second Amendment was written so we can if necessary kill the “government”. In the meantime, they are handy for other things as well and it’s good practice for the near future.
