Rep. Radel Keeps Campaign Promises, Looks to Repeal Obamacare

Congressman Trey Radel is backing up his campaign rhetoric by signing on to several key bills that are in line with what he promised his constituents he would support, were he elected to the U.S. Congress.

Radel will also look to repeal part of Obamacare by signing onto the Medical Devise Tax Repeal which “ Amends the Internal Revenue Code to repeal excise tax on medial devices as well as well as other technical repeals.

“One of my first priorities in Congress was to seek out and support the bills I discussed with Southwest Floridians, keeping my promises to them.” Radel added “I hope to continue these conversations and discussions at my Listening Tour that kicks off this week in Fort Myers and Naples.”

Here are the bills Radel has signed onto-

• Fair Tax Bill: “To promote freedom, fairness, and economic opportunity by repealing the income tax and other taxes, abolishing the Internal Revenue Service, and enacting a national sales tax to be administered primarily by the States.”

• End Pensions in Congress Act: “Ends the Congressional pension plan for recently elected and future Members of the House and Senate who have not yet qualified for pension benefits.”

• The Federal Reserve Transparency Act: “To require a full audit of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and the Federal Reserve banks by the Comptroller General of the United States, and for other purposes.”

•              Pay Freeze Bill: “Extending the freeze on adjustments to pay of federal employees and officials, including Members of Congress.”
