Georgia’s Republican Congressman Tom Price is welcoming President Obama to the state of Georgia on this Valentine’s day. Price sent Obama a great big Valentine’s Day gift shaped in the form of a reminder of the high unemployment rate and high gas prices that Georgians and all Americans across the country are weathering.
President Obama is on a post-SOTU address swing around the country to try to sell his bottles of SOTU-snake oil to politically-detached Americans who for the most part watched his lips move but didn’t “understand the words that are coming out of his mouth” during the annual speech to the nation.
No word yet if Price, who is a medical doctor by trade, will be extracting his boot from Obama’s behind anytime soon.
“Today, I welcome President Obama to the great state of Georgia – home of the Atlanta Braves and refreshing Coca-Cola.
“But, we’re also home to an 8.6 percent unemployment rate. Because of President Obama’s failed policies, hundreds of thousands of hard-working and enterprising Georgians can’t find a job and countless more have stopped looking all-together.
“After four years of the president’s promises that greater government spending and regulations would bring relief and a real recovery, Georgia families and small businesses are facing a future of higher health care costs, higher taxes and less economic certainty. Even the most basic necessities are more expensive. When President Obama took office, Georgia families were paying approximately $1.72 per gallon of gas. Today, it’s $3.58, taking a larger bite out of a family’s budget.
“It is clear that President Obama’s policies are making life more difficult at a time when folks need relief. The people of Georgia are resilient and optimistic. We ought to honor their entrepreneurial spirit by advancing pro-growth policies that limit the size and scope of government, empowering individuals to live, work and raise their families as they pursue the American Dream.”

This is the truest most honest summary of what we viewed last night. Congressman Tom Price could not have told what we viewed any plainer. In other words, anyone should be able to understand exactly what is going on! We are all suffering yet our government doesn’t get the picture!
