Rubio officeThe Washington Post is reporting that Senator Marco Rubio has said that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel during his week-long trip to Jordan and Israel. This is old news since Rubio, as far back as 2009, has stated that Jerusalem, not Tel Aviv was the true capital. Here is a video we shot of Rubio during a Palm Beach, Florida stop on his 2010 Senatorial campaign.

In his first official visit to the country, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio told Israel’s president on Wednesday that Jerusalem is “of course the capital of your country.” He reiterated America’s bipartisan support for Israel.-Washington Post

It is sad that every politician who has aspiration for a white house run has to make such statement.

I think that, in the hearts of most people in the world who are religious (with the exception of muslims) Jerusalem IS the capitol of Israel.

    You missed the point!

Hey, not everyone is making that statement, just those who believe it – and have the chutzpeh to say it. Jerusalem was, is, and will always be the capital of Israel.

Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. He is stating a fact.

Be a cynic if you please, but I think Rubio’s support of Israel goes far beyond his own political aspirations. You do realize, whether you like him or not, that the man is a practicing Christian?

  8. DeltaDawn says:

So what if he is a practicing Christian…..The fact is that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. King David’t throne was there and so was the Temple.
