Rubio spoke about his issue while thanking dignitaries and friends who he said have supported him since his early days in Florida House of Representatives.

I like Marco Rubio, he’s a likable guy, and rather than get all bent out of shape over things he makes them funny. That is exactly how I would handle it. I’d love to meet him someday.

Hang in there Marco….. they are going to try to twist you into knots…. rely on not YOUR strength, But Gods. We’ll hold you up in prayer.
It’s much better that he exposes the ‘problem’ himself before the bottom feeding, yellow journalists, do a loud ‘expose’ hit piece villifying him.
I did not watch the video, for various reasons, but I figure he’s making a joke out of the swig of water he took during his speech. Hopefully that incident has become such widespread news that your teasing headline will not give any of your readers or re-posters’ the wrong idea about this fine man.
One can become mighty dry while speaking. Rand Paul attested to that and being apprehensive that he could speak for those 13 hours, solo, with no water. Fortunately, he was relieved at intervals by a band of united Republicans for whom I applaud.
In subsequent speeches given by Marco, of which I hope there’ll be many, I’m sure he’ll bring hydration with him, no more stretching for a far away bottle of water.
When it comes to being a lush, Senator, you’re no Ted Kennedy.
Thank God for that! Being an addict of any kind is a resume enhancer if you’re a Dem but not for GOP.
Drinking Water? Why would you post this headline with no story?
Its part of the joke, lighten up
Frankly, this is a lousy headline; if someone doesn’t have the time or simply chooses to skip over the video, they can simply walk away assuming that the man is an alcoholic from that headline.
The left doesn’t need a whole lot of kindling to start a fire, so offering this up is irresponsible. Not everyone will “get” the drinking joke, especially those who choose not to understand. Bad, very bad.
Lighten up. The left already played off ‘Rubio’s drinking problem’ after the SOTU. Rubio himself tried to pass it off as such.
I watched the video, but it seemed as if (when Rubio mentioned the drinking problem) this was some kind of inside joke. I can’t imagine people laughing about a real or actual drinking problem. – - Are you certain that this was a reference to a real drinking problem?
He was joking about the SOTU response water incident
Thanks for clarifying… this makes more sense, because the Title here, seemed to imply that it was about an alcoholic drinking problem
