Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart is saying that an official Congressional delegation will be dispatched to Venezuela to ‘pay respects’ to the late Dictator Hugo Chavez. Diaz-Balart told the Miami Herald and The Shark Tank that a small delegation representing the United States is slated to travel to the South American country.
The Congressman questioned this move by his colleagues in the House of Representatives, and outlined that Chavez was ally of Syria’s Bashar al-Assad and Iran’s Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Look, I guess some of them are probably already making plans if Ahamadinajad were to keel over tomorrow, they are probably already making airline reservations. -Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart
